Could this not work if you simply remove axle nut, caliper, rotor, and then remove the bearing bolts and slide out the bearing?

why ... this is the easiest way ... and you must remove axle bolt to do that 👍🏻🔧

i cant because that is hub wheel ...not bearing only

these guys are hacks. they just needed to remove the spindle nut and the 4 bolts that held the hub on
