I have actually played both Mayhem Brawler and Jitsu Squad before (I actually helped back Jitsu Squad on Kickstarter years back) and definitely enjoyed both. The chaotic nature of that game is so much fun and seeing the little references I missed before with Fight N' Rage cameos is really cool. They're a small Dutch indie developer who worked on it, to my knowledge nothing else tied to the game yet (like cartoons or comics), but in the case of Mayhem Brawler, there is a comic associated that tells more of the story. It's cool they're working on a sequel now, I hadn't heard about that. Final Vendetta was the one I didn't see coming but it looks cool, too. Really smooth animations and graphics, looks like it feels and plays like Final Fight or Streets of Rage, it's good to see some well done retro style beat 'em ups come around still.

The boss dialogues were fine, but the mid-level stuff was just pausing the action to tell you something you could plainly see already. "The old baddies are coming through portals!" and "There are more bad guys in here!" are NOT deep parts of the lore that need an explanation. =v

Sengoku is made by Capcom and Capcom refuses to make any Sengoku games further and the Sengoku fighting game is one I hope a future Fighting Collection release will occur.

Cool games. It's like a renaissance of beat 'em up games. At a recent steam festival, I played the demo of another potentially good game - Arnold Bounty Hunter. It looks more like the first Battletoads - there are not only fights, but also various adventures with platforming, hydrocycles. It also looks interesting. I liked the demo.
There's one I played on playstation 4 that was like turbo furry, all the characters were anthromorphic, but it was fun as hell and there was a gajillion unlockables, seriously cannot remember the name of it, but it's destined for one of these vids. UPDATE: its called Fight n' Rage! Trite name, but the game rules!
Surfing on the Lava is ft. Johnny Gioeli on Spotify/Youtbe etc. The rest of the soundtrack is being mixed at the moment and will release later this year :)
Final Vendetta is a spiritual successor to an old arcade Brawler known as Vendetta. Personally, it had the better KO scream than this game. Which is not bad.
Mayhem was good it got the job done. Fight'N Rage have been my go-to at the moment. Beat Em Ups are awesome to have on the go. Rather you pulling out the Switch or Steam Deck for a quick session on the go
I bought Mayhem at launch and loved it. The air combo looks legit! Side note, just recently finished the takeover and it was fantastic. Just found out you were part of the team for that game! Any news for any news games from you guys?
I've bought Mayhem Brawler, and oh boy it feels wrong to have the bruiser character with so much mobility. Maybe I'm too used to playing SOR4. Also, the defense button, I feel more natural to just move up and down to avoid projectiles
This puts me in the mood to make a brawler game myself: Copocalypse. "In the year X999, a dumb government decides to cut all taxes by canceling all government. All public duties were turned over to the police to do. With the police responcible for every law and public service, madness took hold and created The Cop Kingpin! Cop Kingpin amassed his army of cop mutants, cop robots, and volunteer cop mercenaries to MAKE EVERY LAW LETHAL!!!!!" Then you pick one of 8 protestor stereotypes to fight through all the copocalypse armies and undo the cop kingpin.
Picked up mayhem brawler after your playthrough. Looks great. Also waiting for final vendetta👍 enjoyed the vid. A chance to see a game without the narrator selling the games they play.
Creators of MB have already working in the sequel, in words of them: the sequel will be better in graphics and content soo i see a little futile get the first game then.
Jitsu Squad looks like... too much. Too much dialogue, too much chaos on the screen, too many references, too many mechanics. It's definitely not for me but man, do I admire that game for going to 11 almost immediately from the start

On the Kickstarter they said that Jitsu Squad is still slated for a console release later this year with the Kickstarter goals in release I believe.

I'm curious on the first and third, but I am NOT on the second cause of those accents..god those sound so bad.
