so ive never played drums or any type of percussion instrument, and I'm thinking about getting the Cajon. Whats a good way to start? and which Cajon should i get?
i play a djembe and a cajon, if you roll your fingers on it like a bored person would with there arm reached out on a table, but of course as hard as u need, you can do the fast drumming pretty loud with being able to add you own base drum with the second hand, or set it on the drum to make the finger taps lighter with less echo to change it up a bit. maybe that technique has a real name im not sure, but very effective and cool for solo hip hop beats, cheers!

how do you get your cajon to have that crisp snap along the top of the cajon? do i loosen the screws near the top? i have a meinl headliner burl top cajon and im trying to get that crisp sound.
