You are my hero! You have turned work into an art form. One man with basic tools can do wonders. I'm 83; when I grow up I want to be able to do 1/2 of what you can do.
My yard is higher than the patio cement. Every time it rained the dirt from the yard washed down on to the patio. I'd wash the patio down, and the dirty water would sit in one corner. I gave up, and edged a small trench around the patio, filled it with some pearock. Now the rain washes the patio for me! Great job on that patio, and thank the Lord for all those wonderful tools to do the job. I'm old enough to have used a push mower when it was fashionable. We've become spoiled over time, and I m loving it!
Instead of putting money into equipment, we hired a lawn service. They could not bring our grass back to life (too many cedar and for trees). So we followed their advice; we dug up the grass and put in more large plants and put down bark dust. .

Kudos to everyone who works outside. It is a tough job but the rewards are immediate when you look at a well manicured yard. Thank you for the video.
Gonna show my age. 1958 my parents bought their first home. My job was to cut the yard with a reel mower, blades sharp enough to cut you for just looking at them. Solid steel wheels and the rear supported by a wooden roller. That mower was used until my dad "sprigged" st Augustine and used a dump truck load of chicken litter. After the yard took off my dad bought a western auto 2 cycle mower that the starter cord had to be wound around the fly wheel and to stop it a metal spring had to be pressed against the plug. I don't miss either of those two mowers.

Obviously being able to use this space at all will be a game changer for this lady. But one thing some may overlook is how much safer it is to walk on clean concrete than dirty. Helpful hint. Use push power mower , lowest setting, to trim over grown grass on the concrete. It thins out the mass of grass, easier to see concrete edge, less time edging, and disperses mowed grass into yard. Then use your edger. Used this technique for years.

The grass/grade is higher than the top of concrete at it’s low point. A swale needs to be installed 2’-0” wide min. separating the concrete / grass grade difference. The swale can be filled with gravel & sloped to drain away from the patio. Currently the patio can not drain properly thus the dirt & mildew from the backed up water. The patio & grade where never coordinated. Typical residential construction!!!
Thanks for the knowledge! When will you be helping the lady do this? She has stage 4 cancer and my not be able to afford it..life is short when you are sick and weak.
When this house was built the lawn and the patio were probably at the same level. But years and years of grass cuttings being left and having turned into soil has lifted the lawns level. I would plan for a new lawn if I had the money.

Do you like the two front wheel wheelbarrow? I’m almost due to buy a new one and have been debating on getting one like what you have. Thank you for sharing another great video with us! 💚🌿🌲🌼
Yes, having owned a small farm, you can pile a load of material in it and not fight load shifts or undulations in the ground as much. I have moved on to a 4-wheel hand dump cart. So much better than both, because you can really load it up, wheel it to where you need it, and then pull the dump lever and the load will start to dump. Pull the cart away quickly and it's all left behind. I was injured by a drunk driver rear-ending me at 45MPH while I was at a stop light and this really saves my back so I can work all day.
Thank you everyone! I wish I could put a little electric motor on one also lol. We have a bank in our back yard and it’s very hard for me to push a wheelbarrow up it when I have bags of dirt in it.

My place has this problem too, needs a drain dug into the edge/s so it flows away before washing all the dirt back on the concrete (I rent or it would already be done) that way during rain periods it doesn’t create this problem to need washing either 😊

They have one. It’s behind the fence. He did that area in an earlier video. It’s another great job.
@@digsindirt4490 Oh I see, my bad. A big transformation because I didn't recognize it from the other video. I got turned around somehow on those massive plains.😁
@@darlatidwell6255 I missed it at first, too. Then he mentioned the pool area and I was all "Oh yeah! " LOL
@@digsindirt4490i sheepishly thought wow, that's totally hilarious,😂. Thanks for your help. 😁
You're so talented and you have mad skills! I'm blown away by your work ethic! You're worth your weight in gold!
Wearing those pretty white sneaks again I see. 🤣 You always do great work and have a huge heart. Thanks for helping this family. The property transformation is spectacular!
Thanks as always mufasah! 😊☺️
Such as amazing transformation. The patio looks great now.
Btw, you did an amazing job on that patio! It sure needed some help. Great transformation.
Thank you Rae ☺️
All I can say is WOW! It doesn't even look like the same patio. I wish you lived near where I do. I have some flower beds that could use your magic.
I would recommend laying a tarp on the ground when shoveling so you don't have to do double work
You are unbelievable! This is the kind of stuff I love to do!!
It’s as if you can see the results before you even get started! 🤗
Bless you for helping them out!
My neighbor advised me to use the garden hose and nozzle to rinse everything off after power washing and it really cleans the residue off nicely.
My goodness , you know on first glance at that patio I thought ok, needs a good sweep up and maybe a new outdoor table and seats. However when the work began I was stunned at how much work was involved . What a fantastic job you did on what become a labor intensive operation . The transformation of the patio and even the furniture was amazing . I totally loved this video and I make sure my grandkids know who the real heroes and role models in in this world are . Hard working people who put their shoulder to the wheel like you Sir ... great great job . God bless you .
WOW really I didn't know that
Thanks for the knowledge!
I watch you every chance I get. You really do Top Notch work and you are a generous human being. Keep doing what you are doing and making people happy!!🏆😍👍
It looks like they could use a french-drain leading to a drywall along the edge of the patio.
What is a drywall?
@@jeremybrown3263 It should have said “dry-well”. It’s a hole filled with small stone to accept runoff. Here’s a UA-cam video that explains how to build a French drain. www.hunker.com/12268999/diy-drainage-of-surface-water-around-a-patio
I know the owner will love how beautiful the patio is!!! YOU Did An Amazing Job!!!!
Use the scoop shovel to fling that dirty water out into the yard!
Powerful little gas blower is the easiest way to get rid of that dirty water 👌
Your ability to add power washing is the icing on the cake. Great job.
Nearly 22:00 hrs on a Sunday in Perth Australia. I got work in the morning and can't sleep. What to do you ask? Sweet sounds of edge trimmers and mowers should do the trick.🙂👍😌😴😴
Lol always appreciate you enjoying the sweet sounds of trimmers and mowers 😊🤣
Same here!
Whoever thought a patio (?) Would need a flat edge shovel to do cleaning.
It looks so very neat and clean.
I thank God for people like you.
Lol i thought it was cool watching it show itself. Who knew 👍
"Yes I'm wearing white shoes" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
👍👍🤣😂
And after labor day too. Tsk tsk 😀
@@steventaylor181 Labor Day is in September. 😆

I truly admire you for your commitment and dedication in the work you do for others. You make extremely difficult work seem easy. I’m amazed you take on these very difficult jobs by your self. You’re definitely a good soul.
Do you like the two front wheel wheelbarrow? I’m almost due to buy a new one and have been debating on getting one like what you have. Thank you for sharing another great video with us! 💚🌿🌲🌼
Yes I do more stability 👍
Yes, do it! You’ll be so happy once you notice the balance which takes strain off your arms and back.
I have 2 of the two-wheelers and I won't part with either one of them! One is for cleaning horse stalls and the other is for yard work!
Thank you everyone! I wish I could put a little electric motor on one also lol. We have a bank in our back yard and it’s very hard for me to push a wheelbarrow up it when I have bags of dirt in it.
I love your videos!!! I would like to see more of you and your son working together!!!
Thank you Larry I hope to bring him along more often
😂 OH No white shoes…that was my first thought. They won’t be white when you’re done!!
Lol not so much 🤣
At least it’s not after Labor Day yet🤣🤣
@@cullenmiller8170 - 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I bet a lot of people don’t even know that was a thing!!!
@@Sabbathissaturday I know and I guess I'm showing my age.
Wow! what a transformation. I can see why you have a new favorite shovel. I am so glad you went to the next step and power washed the patio furniture, it all looked so great when you were done. Thank you for sharing this video, and Bless you for doing this job, I appreciate your hard work in the heat.
It’s so frustrating when the dirty water keeps washing backwards. Needs something to suck it up.
He needs to use a squeeze on it to push the water off
My place has this problem too, needs a drain dug into the edge/s so it flows away before washing all the dirt back on the concrete (I rent or it would already be done) that way during rain periods it doesn’t create this problem to need washing either 😊
You could stop for 5 minutes and let the water time todrain away
That was enjoyable to watch. Watching someone else do the work is relaxing. 😀
@@bobbiestratton559 yes, a squeegee or a wetvac.
Wow! Who wouldn't want a nice clean patio like that! You did an awesome job. It looks so much better.
Loved this video and the one with the pool. Such a transformation! Have you tried moving that standing water with the leaf blower? Just wondering if that would help. Thanks for all you do for the less fortunate.
I actually did that, but didn't get it on camera. Thanks D.J.
Glad you enjoyed it D.J.
With the heart the size of Texas and the great job you do , I don't understand how people can give you a thumbs down. I'm sure you didn't add the chairs in on the price but you did them anyway. Great job as always.
Dig a trench. Give the water somewhere to go.
I sure hope someone is taking care inside where she has to be while battling cancer. Obviously nobody takes care of the outside so at least someone should be taking care of the inside for her. Great job again.
