I reckon you can get the mounts from Castlemaine rod shop...and the yoke for 727!is 4speed manual ..not sure about tail shaft length but charger is the shortest

I think the biggest problem, if I remember correctly, is that you have a 6-cylinder k-frame. That was 25 years ago, so a little hazy. But you need custom mounts for them. Well, I did. The other thing is headers; they don't fit when putting a 440 in cm, vh, or vk. You can buy undercarriage or cut the fender wells to fit, but it's not an easy straight fit. Other things I would say are to strengthen the frame rails; they crack and twist with a 245 hemi, let alone that thing. But you can do it with a lot more work than you first think. Watch out for the need for a 727 tranny off a big block. The bell housing is not the same. Maybe someone who's done it not 25 years ago with a better memory can help. Damn, red backs are something I don't miss from Australia, lol.
ahh yes, would i have to strengthen the 6 cyl K frame? or just find a v8 one you think? i have got "Huggers" extractors that apparently fit between the strut towers hopefully, maybe move the brake booster over a touch... i definetly will strengthen the frame rails then haha, don't want to write it off! the 727 i have, came with the motor from the motorhome, it has a uni joint though at the yolk, not a spline... going to have a few hurdles ut i think it will be worth the effort! thanks Ian 👌 Loges.
@aprilgeordi8969 hey mate!, the current status is the 440 motor is ready, but problem is I want a tkx 5 speed box to put behind it, but it comes to $13k with everything needed to install, so basically I'm just broke and don't have a gearbox, I have a TF727 auto, but need to change the spline to a slip yolk haha, that's all that's stopping me at this point
They do make mounts , i always had a factory v8 k frame but i know people use custom mounts. Its based on an body in the usa . They had big blocks even 426 hemis. Mate had a Vk charger with a 440 years ago but he sold it because it was too wild for him. Im sure it had factory exhaust manifolds.
Ahh thanks Peter! I've tracked some mounts down through hemi performance, but there have been on back order for over 4 weeks now sadly... I'm questioning if they even stock them now haha, hopefully they get sent soon so I can get this boat anchor installed in the CM haha
