Another great video. Scott and I could sit around and watch coal trains all day, long, just one after another loaded or empty, because they are my favorite trains of all. The wife and I took a trip to the powder, river basin, and Wyoming in 2008 and it was not disappointing at all. We was there for about 10 hours on Logan’s hill and there must’ve been 60 to 80 trains going in and out of those mines, I’ve never seen so many coal trains in my life so if you ever get a chance to go up there you and JT needs to make that trip one day because you definitely won’t be disappointed but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one. And hopefully you got some good ones to watch for Saturday and Sunday.

Yu can really see the grade from the backside where you come off the highway to get down to the bridge. There really isn`t a good spot up there to film from or we would have done it. Thanks Matthew! Have a great weekend!

Wow, love that coal train, Thanks for posting Scott, I spent afternoon at hospital just to get blood work done, what a waste of time, They drew two vials and cost me $1,234.00. After insurance still had to pay $104.18, Crazy how they charge. Hospitals are a money making racket.
Thanks Rev! I hear you on the money-making scam that hospitals are. I got a buddy that was a radiologist for over 30 years, and he says the same thing. They are not concerned with curing you, they just want to keep treating you so the cash keeps rolling in. He said the hospital he worked at always said there was no money in the cure, but plenty in the disease. Truly a sad state of affairs for sure. Hope all your tests come out okay and have a great weekend with this warm weather!
That would be a good spot for a camera. The problem is that there isn`t anything nearby to put it on that would give you a good view of the tracks. If I ever get a drone, you can bet I`ll be getting a video from here! Thanks Rick, have a great weekend!

Thanks Alex! Yes, after the trains goes around the town, it does go under the bridge on its North end. We would film over there but if the train stops and blocks the crossing like it did yesterday, you can be trapped there for hours or until the next day! Lol I think they had the crossing blocked that you have to drive over to get out of there yesterday for about 4 hours! Have a great weekend!

Tehachapi East Scott. According to Google Earth and it's distance measuring method, from the point the high rail goes over the low rail, around that loop and back to the starting point is 1.72 miles. With the length of today's trains, an over/under is completely possible here. Love this video and location. Thank you Scott. Hope the rest of yours and JT's trip is as good as the start.
I have actually seen that happen here! I think it was about 2 years ago that the locomotives went under the rear of their train. It was really cool to see! Have a great weekend, Lou!

Weather here in NY is raining sleet freezing rain and snow I did manage to see 2 trains one with 5 locomotives before the weather got bad
