I love how the little pony gave her comfort when she got teary eyed. Such an adorable little ball of fluff, I hope it got a good home.
Poor horse, it was like the mare held on just long enough to make sure her foal was safe before she let go.

That grey mare knew they were being rescued, and as soon as she knew her foals were safe she knew she could let go. What a valiant and loving creature she must have been. I'm so glad she spent her last hours with such kind people and in a safe, comfortable place. Well done, all!
I was hoping this valiant little mare was going to make it. She went into the trailer trusting her instinct that these people were going to take her and her foal away from that horrible place. I am crying like a child right now.

I am 13 and have been working with and riding horses since I was 5. I am so mad at people who leave horses in this condition and who don't care enough to help them or at least sell them to a better home. When I am old enough, I plan on moving out and either starting my own charity for horses or working at places like world horse welfare. Well done, all of you, for staying strong and helping the helpless.🐴

She was holding on until she was sure her foals were safe. She knew she could trust you from the moment she hopped into the trailer. You did a wonderful thing for Roswyn and be sure that she left this life happy that her children were safe in your care. Her baby certainly knew that you were talking about his mum and he came over to comfort you! You are doing a wonderful thing for Mother Earth and her creatures. Thank you.
My tears started when the gray mare went in to the trailer to eat. I totally lost it when the mare died. Bless you sweet baby girl. Now you're running, jumping and playing over the rainbow bridge. 💜
At 5:45 I think the foal was trying to comfort her when she got emotional, What a beautiful thing to see. 😢😍☺
This is disgusting. It makes me sick the neglect and abuse that these animals go through. It's sad when some of them have to be put down. And this sweet mare took care of these little foals. What a good mamma!!! Thank you World Horse Welfare for caring for these beautiful animals and giving them the chance at a new life.
At least she wasnt alone, she waited and she had been loved in her last moments.
This is heartbreaking. No one forces you to own an animal. Whether you live in the UK or America or anywhere else there are any number of humane organizations that can help take in animals so why the hell does this keep happening?? It destroys your faith in people but then these amazing rescuers help to bring it back. Thank you for helping these horses.
I will never get my head around WHY people think they can get a animal only to mistreat them. Those sorry excuses for a human can’t have a heart and no feelings whatsoever. Thankfully there is wonderful people out there doing their best to help those unfortunate beautiful animals. Those people are HEROES ❤️❤️❤️

Yes animals can be just like people making sure their loved ones are safe, before taking that final rest. I wish Mama horse could have made it to but she fought a good fight keeping an eye on the two young ones when she knew they were safe that's what gave her happiness. I'm sure she enjoyed the kindness given to her when she needed it the most.
When that lady was talking about Rosalin I think the horses name was, the emotion in her voice broke my heart. Xx bless rosalin the sweetheart x

We have the same situations here in the States, as well. Fortunately, there are people like you who rescue these animals and find them good homes.

Dear Heart that truly was the greatest gift you could give Roswynn. The tears you shed for her says she was worth while, important and valued. She knew the baby she gave so much of herself to was safe and would be okay. She was tired and could leave in Peace. Blessings to you all you were her hero's and you are mine as well.

Watching the sweet gal get choked up describing the passing moments of the valiant but dying mare gutted me. The folks that are part of this very needed and valued organization have hearts that are HUGE and so giving. Thank you very much folks, your contributions to the betterment of both animal and people are outstanding. Watching from Kona Hawaii.
I’m so proud of the mare and these amaizing people it’s like the mare trusted u enough that she loaded herself and she was positive that u would help her and her foals she just wanted her foals to be ok and she defininatly is grateful

I became emotional myself watching0 and listening to the young lady telling us about the mare. I'm 90 and used to work with horses when I was a lad. But this beyond anything.

Perhaps on the next one you can talk more about the process horses go through at your facility and what happens next...adoption, sanctuary, etc. If they are adoptable, what is the process, etc. Thank you for your work. It is heart-wrenching as well as heart-warming..

God, I'm in floods now. I wish I had the means to help. How can Britain call itself a nation of animal lovers when you see this. I know most cruelty of animals goes unnoticed, we need to be more observant.

I want to be in this line of work but honestly I don't know that my soul could stay in one piece. I love horses so so much. I always have and always will.

Great job from your side. It’s outrageous that still occurs today (this was submitted December 26 2018). I have asked politicians for years why we don’t require some sort of responsibility act, horse license, if you will.

It was smart of them to bring a vet with them to refer to for advice. Its too bad that ponies and horses are abused like this. Left to die. But its organizations like these that really do some justice and bring those animals to a place where people care and they are able to live a normal, happy, healthy life.
At the moment I have a broken hip, however, when I'm back on all four's [sic] I'd like to volunteer - just a case of hoping there is a 'equine care' charity near me

@SaraJerman, Please don't apologize for the tears and emotions. All of you are amazing, caring, wonderful people. You were right, "Rosewind's" (not sure of the mares name/ spelling) last hours were probably the best time of her whole life, and that is thanks to all of you. You take on some of the most heart wrenching cases and if you people didn't show disappointment, anger, sadness, etc I wouldn't care for any of you. However, watching these videos, I have nothing but love, respect, and positive things to say for you. May you all be blessed w/ great things and health. 😚😚

Thank you thank you thank you from Australia. The laws regarding animal care and health need an upgrade . Owners need surveillance/ oversight ?! to see that this situation never happens in the first place. I donate to a US Horse Rescue program and the situation also shows that Animal protection laws di not prevent or protect thrm from the slaughter pipeline. Public education, awareness and exposure is a big part of the change that is needed. Bless you all. PS, I felt tears too and we need to express our emotions.

Good vid. We all want as many as possible to survive, here is some advice :) No.1 Don´t stress the animals when you find them. No.2 feed them where they are until strong enough to move. no.3 If cold cover them, give them hot mash, shredded apples& carrots, easily absorbable food, and when they lie down, let there be lots of straw and peace. No.3 gentle keep their circulation going as they absorb their nutrition(gentle rubbing). No.4 Turn them over if they lay too long on one side, they Will be tired, they waited so long for care, maybe fighting over the little there was. Now, help arrived and their system is only thinking about the recovery of the vital organs! So don´t immediately try to get them to their legs- give it time & T.L.C. And remember they can go into shock if handled about too much- their heart/system can´t handle it if they are very weak. Lot´s of love from Scandinavia.
