- Join us for a day enjoying a variety of different attractions in Scarborough, North Yorkshire! In this vlog we start off ride with on the classic Water Chute that dates back to 1932. Following that we take a ride on the beautiful North Bay Railway, before heading inside SEA LIFE Scarborough for a full tour. We then check out Luna Park, a small amusement park located on the seafront along with taking a ride on the funicular railway!

Love Scarborough. When I go up I usually stay in places such as Palm Court hotel, The windmill hotel or Premier Inn. I also did a train driver experience on North Bay Railway for my 18th birthday. I drove Neptune which is another engine from 1932.
I absolutely love Scarborough especially the beach it’s just such a nice atmosphere with all the birds in the sky and going to play in the arcade especially Luna park it’s amazing 🤍
It’s a really nice seaside town!

The old cable car poles you can see used to take you upto Marvell’s which was a theme park was really good used to go all the time as a kid

the best fish and chips is at the north bay fisheries just outside peasholme park you always know when it is good because all the locals go their the mushy peas are the best i have had

We went on a family holiday to Scarborough around 1980 when I was very young, and I remember going on the chair lift, and also watching the battleships on the lake. That's all I can remember about Peashome park.

All in all it seems a quaint, historic place..
modern and slick isn't always necessary to have fun, pity it wasn't a warm sunny day.
Is this the same place the Scarborough Fair talks about?

Shame that you didn’t visit the vintage fairground museum
It was closed on Sunday unfortunately else we would have!
I think the problem with the locals (from someone who lives in Scarborough) with the rollercoaster/big wheel idea is what it replaced. It replaced a lovely local theatre called the Futurist which many people were fond of. Shame to see it go but that’s the way things are unfortunately :(
It’s great to see you visiting my hometown again! My daughter is autistic and King Frog is her favourite, we’re there lots throughout the year just to ride it. Holy cow ice cream is amazing so definitely try that next time!
Also Kinderland is very much missed here in Scarborough, my childhood memories was going there and Alantis outdoor pool.

A few years ago I saw a baby seal on the beach not far from the Sea Life. Someone called the Sea Life and they took it to the seal hospital.
We love going to Scarborough at least once a year
I must recommend the clock tower cafe in Scarborough, it’s at the other end of the beach from sea life, where it’s fairly run down but it does excellent food and there are good views

You should go for a ride on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway in kent for a wild ride on a miniature railway travelling at 25mph, you'll absolutely love it!
Actual steam locos as well along 13 and a half miles of track. 👍
Yorkshire is just a beautiful place isn't it im very proud to be northern
Ah the North Bay Railway built in 1931 first engine came Neptune built in 1931 built by Hudswel and Clark in Leeds and she carried 418000 people and they added Triton in 1932 to help Neptune with the service so there are some facts mate love your videos keep the good work up
Super informative vlog. Do love to be beside the seaside. Brings a air of steadiness and relaxation to the mind. ...especially when looking out to sea when it is calm. (Note, the cure for seasickness on a boat is to continually look at the horizon (sea meets the sky) as it appears flat and tricks the brain. Love the Sealife centres... visited about 8 of them around the UK. My favourite theme park is SeaWorld in Orlando. Some people may feel animals and sea life fish etc should not be held in captivity but weigh that against the good that these parks and zoos do for the animals FAR outweighs any negatives you may think they have. Thanks for showing.

Love scarborough - my gran lived there when I was growing up in the 70s and 80s spent many summers in there - the Peasholm park has not changed at all!
Used love the Devils cascade at lightwater valley it was one of these Shute rides they still have bits of the ride still there wish they would revamp it and bring it back would fit in the Under 12's they are aiming at 😊

I love visiting Scarborough, we visit every year. Its nice to see that golf been restored, it needed it but was still a great golf. Also love Peasholm park and we have visited the castle a few times too. Not done the sealife in ages only done it once

Amazing seeing Scarborough again, went for the first time this time last year with my fiance and his family, we missed the sea life though didnt even know there was one there
never went to the futuristic my parents did but it took them around a year and a half to do anything with that specific area

Also can you come and visit east park also in hull they also have a classic water chute which I belive is 1 pound per person per go

im from scarbrough and it feels weird you coming here since in a few years time half of this is going to be gone
If you have a heron foods store or b&m express store near where you live, they have a frozen section that sells cooplands products including cheese straws

Kinder Land was a real treat to visit in the 1980s and 90s 👍
Good new video, really enjoyed and always 100% look forward to both new & latest videos uploaded to channel. Shame that Flamingo Park Scarborough didn't happen, think it looked epic via the plans, maybe could be reconsidered for park where railway goes to? If got space? Never yet visited this railway & attractions, but one day hope to. In that park, think maybe a coaster could be added? Not sure what? But could be a good new addition here via tokens and pay per ride sort of rollercoaster? Be epic, but yeah good video, really enjoyed and now thinking of watching next which will be Flamingo Land. I used to love going to Mr marvels on top of the hill where the chairlift is. Was a great park I think it was a zoo and marine park before that

People were opposed to the Flamingo Land development because it cost us one of the largest theatres in the country and the council spent more to demolish it than it would have cost to modernise it (after a local group found contractors who were willing to do the work for either free or at cost).
I myself said that the ideal place for the Flamingo Land development was in the North Bay above the Open Air Theatre, which was itself a theme park of sorts for many, many years, but was closed and demolished for another project that never appeared (as was Kinderland. Notice a pattern here?).

Think you will find cooplands came originally from milethorne lane in Doncaster ,a lot of their shops were sold off to private francise a couple of years ago, to be honest if you could have tried the pies ,pastys and cakes then you would have loved them ,now they just dont taste the same .
I love Scarborough, some really lovely memories from when I was younger from there. Peasholm park is great, and the little train to the sea life centre 😊

Ah what nostalgia watching this video! Can't believe the water chute is still there and in operation. I remember the outdoor waterpark too, didn't know there was an indoor one now.
Used to go to Scarborough with the family and had school trips there when I was a kid, hope i get to go back again one day.

14:58 Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner is like that. However, that means the Los Angeles-San Diego segment can get flooded out from time to time (think that happened over winter if I remember correctly)

I remember going to Scarborough one day when I was at blue dolphin holiday park.❤❤ I was younger than I am now. I also like Yorkshire it's one of my favourite countries in England. I remember going to flamingo 🦩 land when I was younger too. I am not really a ride person but I have been to 3 abroad theme parks that u have visited and they are: Ferrari land, Disneyland Paris and last but not least portaventura world.

I can remember as a kid going to the amusement park on the top of the hill where they had a small coaster. Also the old water park at Peasholme was great (they had the longest water slides in Europe at one time but it was very cold though most of the time). The green seating that you can see in Peasholme Park in the vlog is a great place to see a gig if you get the chance.

We don't have Cooplands in Norfolk, I have heard of them but never been to one! You should come back up to Norfolk at some point :) Also, Charlotte's reaction to the seagull stick of rock was just great haha! I bet it tastes vile!
