- Now no need to pursue Post graduation to do phd, as per latest notification from UGC, students can take admission in phd directly after graduation. India's higher education regulator is proposing to allow students in colleges and universities to pursue PhD after one- year master's and four-year bachelor's degree, a move that may augment more candidates to pursue doctoral degrees in the country. As per the recent directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC), students who complete a four-year UG degree would be able to directly apply for pursuing a PhD degree in their desired choice of course. Due to this decision, it would take less time for students to enter the research ecosystem. As per the earlier system, students had to devote two years to complete a PG before undertaking a PhD. Central universities like the University of Delhi and JNU have scrapped the MPhil degree in the past. This video covers significant info on queries like

Main objective of student is to get job as soon as possible after graduation, not PhD. Higher education means less jobs there after in India. Then one has to again give entrance exam for job after PhD.

sir then what will be with ms degree many students wants to do master degree in any other course which have demand in market and if they do 4 year of ug course the only major option is left is phd..if they wants to do ms after 4 years of ug course then many university only provide 2 years of ms because they are not under NEP.. it means that student have to first 4 years of ug then 2 years of master...it literally major risk...what to do sir
