@@gerneticutduck bills are the worst spoiler to ever happen lol. If I recall, jimmy literally ripped the duckbill off of this thing when he first got it 😂
Best builder by far. I know others a good, Others use a team and they don't really get dirty. Jimmy is hands on and knee deep in all build of his own and friends. No wonder why he is run down. Get well soon, really want to see that Pro car on the Dyno and first time on the track.....
It would be hilarious to have a running joke where everytime Brian shows up on camera a banner shows up that says "Brian collision technician" for like no reason at all and it's only for him 😂😂😂

7:20 Flex seal the back of fiberglass to keep that together on impact. I did on my ls 350z and c5. Works amazing do like 5 coats and a clear coat over to not have it tacky.
Spoons craft is so awesome to see. You can tell how much pride he takes in his work. Excited to see what else he does. Big wang for the win! Car is sick. S-Chassis the world babyyyy 🔥🔥
Paco or Chris 🤔... hey y'all how's it going ❤. Y'all these are the people to get ahold of for all the Supper Doof. Hit em up for some great deals of awesome body parts
Would be absolutely stellar to see Irish Jim competing in IDC with the S14. It’s not like he doesn’t have homies that could store the car for him. I’d hazard a guess that D Mac or even Drift Games would welcome that car.
The best part about this channel is how it feels like you are a part of the gang. The videos feels so real and down to earth but at the same time entertaining. Keep up the good work Jimmy and the gang!
Sunk in wheels/ high positive offset wheels give the road less leverage over the suspension. You want the road to have control of the suspension in the front for self steer but in the rear you want the suspension to operate unimpeded by road forces. Especially with trailing arm cars, deep dish wheels fight rear end separation which is a problem because the separation (suspension pushing the unsprung portion into the road on acceleration) is how that setup makes its grip and letting it do its thing makes the car handle far more predictably by allowing for less variance in "behaviour".
Love watching you and spoon learning and adapting to the new car/build. You could do like the drift hq boys have done on their new build and mount the dif breather next to the water reservoir so that you can refill the oil if you have the cover off…. Get well soon
@15:10 I believe this 90° joint is too strong for an sideways impact.. A "c-shaped" bar with curves directly into the sleeve/mounting point would make for a more dynamic and soft crumbling motion..
I'm worried about that side piece pointing straight to the rear tire. If the impact comes more from the behind than side, it will probably act as an emergency brake 🤔 I don't know, maybe it needs such a big impact for that to happen it´s the smallest concern at that point 😄
The drag Wing is going to be too imposing Like think about if he has to put it up against the wall with a fence above it it's just going to rip the wing off He's just going to continuously be ripping the drag wing off.
Hope you all have a good holiday. Pro car is turning out sick. Hope jimmy feels better soon too. Duck tail wing just to match the roof wing. S14s look clunky with too big of a wing because the car is bubbly and the wing is sharp angles. But it’ll turn out sick either way.
Think Cleetus McFarlands next cheap build off. Needs to include Jimmy. Bet that he would give them a good challenge. Always doing some amazing quality builds and amazing content.
16:56 maybe put a slight bend in the straight pipe on bash bars ? If jimmy got hit in rear quarter wouldnt the straight bar put all the force into the chassis ?
They have shown that reheated food develops a flavor that some people are sensitive to, like some people think cilantro tastes like soap. The quicker you can get it under vacuum and frozen after cooking the less it develops.
Cars looking sick! I would do a Dmax roof wing and Origin Lab type 3 wing. And put the weds LXZ and JDM kouki headlights. Or even a s15 wing. That'll be perfect
Jimmy- for the bash bars, what about making a fixed end thats welded to the bolt mounts that came with the kit, then a slip over for the bash bar with a pin. Keep the bolts in there, make it easily removeable without having to buy bulk amounts of the mounts from Group D to weld to each set of bash bars. Im no fabricator, so this might be just total nonsense. But if the bash bar is that disposable, and you've got this system, might as well do what you can to maximize efficiency of it.
Should drill or notch the crash bar arms so that they have built in crumple zones. So the energy is least likley to travel through the entire bar to the chasis mount, opposed to crumpling at the drilled holes or notches added to those bash bar mount arms.
You can actually run a multipiece bash bar. You just have to have the piece that protrudes to the bumper no wider then the frame rails if that makes sense.
Les track width may cause less traction and stability in some situations man and they is definitely other ways to increase sidbite and traction through bigger sidewall lower pressure or toe and maybe camber
Team BIG WANG all-day. Austin can put the drag wing on the GTO.
Big wang or a duck bill if you want to go on the small side.

When DJ says "vintage motorcycle" about the Honda that came on the market when I was 20, I feel old. Thanks man.
I hear ya I was expecting to see like a trail 70 or something. A damn CRF is vintage. lol so I’m I
I had to do the math. I was 22 when that came out.
it needs a 326 wing with the low mount risers
I second this
326 would be fire, but also think the standard risers would be better
326 wing is mid & overplayed :P
hell no, 326 wing is way too overdone and basic

@15:10 I believe this 90° joint is too strong for an sideways impact..
A "c-shaped" bar with curves directly into the sleeve/mounting point would make for a more dynamic and soft crumbling motion..
i can see what your saying , but if that straight bar is made from .065 i think it’d crumple or bend from a direct side impact
@RickyRips_ I am not too sure... The material is a lot stronger when you hit it headon compared to a swooping struture of the same material.
I'm worried about that side piece pointing straight to the rear tire. If the impact comes more from the behind than side, it will probably act as an emergency brake 🤔 I don't know, maybe it needs such a big impact for that to happen it´s the smallest concern at that point 😄

Agree with Austin, needs a drag style wing, with long overhang look rather than regular wing will look cooler and more unique.

Just got out of my last exam for the semester. Time to do a celebratory Oakes garage video!!!
I would also add a center bar and make a quick jack lift point mounted to it.
Should drill or notch the crash bar arms so that they have built in crumple zones. So the energy is least likley to travel through the entire bar to the chasis mount, opposed to crumpling at the drilled holes or notches added to those bash bar mount arms.
ngl seeing that car with the cut and exposed rear fenders was bad ass. i wish someone made a kit that integrated that into the final look
