He is so strong and has great pass rush potential, but 1 big problem that really matters at the NFL level: get off. This guys get off is incredibly slow. When the quarterback snaps the ball, hes always the last guy to rush to the back field. If he could fix his get off and build some first step explosiveness, I'd love my 💙💚 to snag him.
Hopefully coachable because the athleticism didn't look like the issue. Just getting off late

There's lots to like but that is a consistent issue. Very noticeable even to the untrained eye.
It almost seems like he's sometimes purposely waiting a beat to get off the line or something. If not it's really odd to see someone with a first step so slow. He's kind of clunky.
Even with that said this guy is fucking dominant with 1 on 1s. Unless he's doubled he's doesn't move backwards and does a great job of keeping a hand freer to make a play. Then on pass rushing situations he's clearly a handful at the interior position.

confusing player imo. very talented but seems to lack drive on certain plays. not good in heavy run sets, easily driven back by double teams. also, dreadful get off. very slow, last player to rush the passer. on a successful pass rush, he is amazing. very quick and at the qb. when remembering fundamentals, amazing at run stuffing as well
