We took this video to show you how to remove and replace the Front Strut or also known as Shock on Fiat 500 but basically it is pretty much the same procedure for every car with MacPherson Suspension.
This video covers how to remove the Spring from the Strut and Install it on a New Strut.

It is practically the same procedure for the left and the right side. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE BOTH not just one.
This should cover all Fiat 500 from 2008 to 2016 it might be the same for the 500L:

My strut does not look like that at the top = I have the mount, a nut , install then another cover on body then the top nut so this doesn t make sense? am i being thick lol

You’re right, that top mount doesn’t look like it’s off a 500.top mounts what I done on the mrs fit 500 was flat like hockey puc, but this is the same principle to a T 👍🏻

How tight is that mount but? Torque number?

Mount nut

Top mount nut is 65nm. The cup nut is 50nm. Hub bolts are 75nm. drop link nut is 50nm.
