Nice summer striper action. Can I ask a couple of questions about how you get and keep your kayak in position when fishing bridge pilings? What kayak are you in? Just pedal or motorized too? Do you only go at slack tide? I have very limited experience trying it but so far I either drift away quickly or get slammed into the structure a lot.
I fish in an old town PDL 106 (pedal only)
I fish every tide - slack is my least favorite
A lot of my positioning is dictated by the wind & tide. Most of what you see is where I am able to have decent control with the correct conditions (what you don’t see is me trying to figure it out lol)

What’s the main thing you look for when picking a spot to fish specifically for striped bass? Like how are you strictly catching stripers (besides 1)
Honestly a ton of different factors (water temp & tide phase are huge factors that I take into account). Stripers are fairly simple to find, just need to find the correct temperatures & the bait they are feeding on.
What county are you fishing in?
Typically, I’m bouncing between Ocean, Atlantic, & Cape May Counties
