We learned so much from Alice Kaplan, my daughter did a living wax museum and is very proud to have represented her works.

I love this and so appreciate this approach to teaching and understanding languages ... I took Latin and then French when it a foreign language was still required in public school and for university admission, 1960s. I wanted to love it but all I really remember of Latin is that the teacher always opened with something to which we all responded, “bene wall-a-we gratias, et tu?” And all I remember of French is that I failed over and over again to say the “ou” sound when we were all required to read aloud some sentence that included the name Raoul. Americans desperately need good teachers of “foreign” languages.

French has been an escape for me too in the present state of our American society. However, my French is not yet strong enough to recognize how Jackie Kennedy's french has a schoolgirl quality. Could someone elaborate on that for me, please?
