Grading companies really need to provide a paragraph for why a card received a given grade. Having to guess why a card received a grade is lame and being able to regrade for a different grade feels like a scam
In France we have "CCC Grading" which provide every single info, as they announce "During the process, the grades are justified on the GradeReport, a specific report which will be given to you for each certification", with this we can know the slightest micro scratch that they were able to find, tbh PSA seems overwhelmed by the competition in many countries, we were happy with them when it was just them but now they seem a little below the competition
nah, the centering is just straight bad. even the worst graders wouldnt let this slide. unless you mean the skull, that honestly could have been a 10 from a grader having a good day
Beautiful cards to own, and even more to grade. MRD 1st Skull Servant is simply GORGEOUS. Blue Eyes as well, but this is a holy grail in his own right, really underrated card. Still, I want subgrades or at least an informed detail of why it was given a certain grade. If not, it doesn't feel right most of the time. And both cards are a beauty, and a big accomplishment! Congrats to Ian on this CRAZY pull and grade!

Real talk the stuff caught in the back of the Summon Skull slab would have been more than enough of a reason to get a regrade. Wild how consistently stuff seems to get in and on the slabs before return.

Summoned Skull could be 10 worthy, I knew right away that the top to bottom centering is pushing it, I think most graders would reconsider giving it a 10 based on that.
I'm a pessimist, so I'll guess that Blue-Eyes got an 8.5. Get them graded by Beckett or CGC instead. (Or just sleeve them and stick them in a binder; I prefer raw cards to graded myself.)
The variance is the main reason I don't want to get any of my collection graded. It would be heartbreaking for any of my favourite cards to come back less then 10 XD
That summoned skull is not a 9 man. That thing is definitely in 10 perimeters. Like you said maybe not a BGS black label 10. But for sure a pristine 10 if anything from BGS

Idk what a sealed case of lob 1st Ed goes for, but it would be heart breaking to get the actual card worth money and then having it valued 20k less for being a 9. The odds of pulling blue eyes are low and there's and there's hardly any chance of recouping your money from buying the box

bro you gotta figure out a way to check the focus on your camera before hitting record. multiple videos in the last several weeks with out of focus face shots.

Some grading companies like cgc give out specific ratings for certain categories like edges, centering etc.
yeah, they could just make it a grade below so that people pay again to regrade. Very scummy not having a reason for the grade
BGS is the only way to go.

Blue Eyes is the most overrated yugioh card that exists. Summoned Skull is also popular, but more underrated than Blue Eyes.

A 1st edition LOB sealed box may be "estimated" at $20k but they're really not worth that much. The scalpers really mess up the trading card market.
