I had a triumph tiger100 in the early 1950s and took it from Dublin across the UK, down through France to Southern Spain with my lifelong pal Jim on pillion . We had full camping gear, food ,clothes etc. In homemade 6ply wood panniers and a 6ply matching case ,with food (surmounting the panniers), when we stopped for a roadside meal we just opened the food box, lit the primus , cooked our meal and were back on the road I really loved my "tiger 100"(I named her *Lulu") and then off again to life on the road in France , it was not long after Ww2!!!( so barbed wire and anti -invasion barriers were still left on some northern French beaches) wonderful,l adventurous memories of my motorcycling days and life on the open road..now 90 years young and enjoying life (and still pals with Jim) in the 2020s but great memories of the 1950s too..oh!! to have my prized tiger back again..dream on!!!!!! Fred Corcoran...ps leading a more sedate life now but!!!
IF ONLY I STILL HAD THAT TIGER 100!!!!!!!!!!!FRED
but Ces't la Vie !!! FRED (" An Fear Dorcha" in Irish), meaning "the dark man"xx

I got mine with luck from London dealer in September 2021, the only one left that I could find in Essex area, other dealers said you’d be lucky to get one by June 22 although there was a T120. Not been disappointed with the T100, I love it and it’s good on fuel with a 14 litre tank, getting 70mpg. Just use it for fun 60/70 mile rides around country lanes etc. would recommend this bike to anyone and you’ll be grinning from ear to ear.

First of all, thank you for this video. I just sold my last Harley, I will never own another one. And, I am looking at buying my first Triumph, a T100 Bonneville. The closest Triumph dealer to me just put a white and orange T100 Bonneville on sale yesterday, $2000.00 off the MRSP. I want it, but my wife who always rides with me is crippled and walks with a walker. I'm working with her three times a day in the attempt to build her muscle tone so she can walk without a walker and I hope we can get back to riding two wheeled motorcycles by Spring. Wish me luck. Ride safe and enjoy every journey.

The 900 is a superbly well developed bike. If people are wondering is it worth the extra over an RE 650
I would say just ride them .... its a night and day difference despite what some RE fans try to tell you.
Even on a strict budget I would take a 2nd hand Bonneville every time.

I'm a conservative rider, so a 500 was plenty fast enough for my needs. Never had a new bike. My second was a Honda CB 750 four. So I sold the Suzuki. Then I bought a Kawasaki 550 Ltd. That was my sons bike. Also used. U can find some premo used bikes for half the price of new. Now I have a 2005 t100. Decked out. I paid 3 grand for. It's in perfect condition. Good luck.

T120 is slightly heavier but has twin front discs, cruise control (2020 onwards I think) and a lot more power. It also has 6 gears vs 5 on the T100. The handling is marginally slower due to the weight, especially on the front wheel due to the twin discs. But it's a lot more punchy at higher speeds. e.g. It still has power to spare at 70mph on a motorway.
Earlier T120's didn't have cruise control but did have a centre stand, rear grab handle and heated grips.

For me it wasn't worth the extra £1k. I found the T100 plenty capable enough even two up. I can honestly say that even if the T100 and T120 were the same price I'd go for the.... who am I kidding it's he the T120 lol. That said, the fuel delivery on the T100 is butter smooth thanks to a single throttle body and careful mapping by Triumph. The T120 is a bit on/off jerky and hesitant at low speeds

Nice bike but not really a Triumph though the youngsters probably don't know what a real Triumph looks like these days. John Bloor bought the name only- not the company and developed his own bike from scratch. He even tried to distance himself from the original Triumph product at the start. Just so everyone knows- the original Triumph T100 was a 500cc parallel twin and was built by Triumph and not by the folks at Hinckley. .

If triumph care why oh why is there a rubbish headlight, for safety there should be an led headlight?
