But he was very close to it. The little box could easilly catch fire due to some local overheat cased by continuous operation under heavy load. He didn't make it operate for any significant periods of time though so it looks like he kinda knew what he was doing.
+Mark J We should all be very afraid, because if Photon wants to start splitting atoms, he won't be satisfied with that and will then try splitting the entire universe to see if it pops, or not!
+Mark J Hell, you can do that with a 9V battery in a cup of water. We did it as a science experiment back in high school. Collected the gas in test tubes and lit it on fire, LOL.
+Photonicinduction Hi Andy. I Love your videos. Love how you're honest too and can you put my profile picture on the wall where the "BIG BOYS SUPPLY IS?" It would mean a lot. Thanks Cailean.
if you were to find a safe way to charge them up, this is an EXCELLENT idea for an emergency power supply. I could see this being used to charge a phone or power a computer if the voltage is near exactly correct, plus you'd want a DC to AC converter. And even though this packs undoubtedly a huge amount of amps, it doesn't matter, because how many amps are delivered depends on the load.
I packed up smoking and the same happened, i have never felt so unhealthy. Love your videos, keep them coming. From an electrician the other side of the Thames.
Congratulations on switching to vaping! And I knew it had to be some kind of modern battery like the car jump starter you showed us, but I had no idea it would be a bunch of little ones. Wishing you the best in everything.
I've been racking my brain since you showed this off trying to figure this out! I even thought of batteries but... Never thought of those! Wow! Also... Thrilled you are back!
Bloody hell it's so simple when you explain it! *EVERYONE* thought you had AC in there, when it was DC all along. So no transformers. No inverters. Nothing complicated, just an AC lightbulb running on 250v DC (which works better I bet as there is no 50Hz AC flicker!) Bloody good job mate, you had us all fooled!!!
+Photonicinduction cool vids , you seem to be a pro at what your doing obviously , I have a request that you get a bath tub of water an take a hair drier , a television an whatever else you can think of an make a dummy or a prop of a human an I'd like to see the effects of electricity on the human body . If ya can't it's cool
Nice too see ur back photon, been a viewer for a long time and you have already replied to me before, anyways I actually though you bought from eBay a 500w inverter board from China like I did it runs on 12v so a couple 18650 cells in series and some more in parallel would of been a nice little project I will try build my own box like urs I really enjoyed the idea I really didn't expect that to run on DC nor that it had so many lithium cells. thanks for keeping us all entertained and I'm hoping for more vids Thanks Alex
Well Photon I really didn't expect that for sure. I mean I really expected something a little more technological than some batteries from you. But God Damn you had me fooled on this one. Thanks Photon for the awesomeness you spread in your vids! I sure hope you keep up the fascinating balls to the wall fun you have with the big boy power supply of course on video.
i was surprised when you divulged the contents of the that power block i originally thought it was some capacitors or something inside gg to ya for creativity
It's actually amazing what current those things can carry for such a small size ! U should play around with them further and see what stuff you can pop with them, in the name of science, of course ! :)) I too was thinking "inverter" at first, though now that I think of it, you never did plug anything "transformer" in it, so DC was just fine.
Andy that's Ace fella. Congrats on giving up smoking it obviously agrees with you as you're looking well and bright as a shiny new button. Best wishes and looking forward to more videos from you soon, take care fella.
So good to see you back. Everyone here is so happy to have you back on our viewing list here at THE SHOP OF COLEBROOK NH. That was very cool how you made that box. I would be interested in one if you could make it for the US. 120 volt. I can give you my contact information an we can talk price. we want to put it in the SHOP to show it off.
For anyone asking. I googled the numbers on the battery and found a listing on Alibaba. These cells are 280mah lipo cells (i assume with their size). So, 3.7v (lipo nominal battery voltage) x 0.280mah = 1.036 watt hours per battery x 81 batteries = 83.916 watt hours for them all together. Pretty cool :D Please come back, Andy. :(
congrats for quitting smoking. I really enjoy your videos and am glad to know that there's a much better chance for me (and soon my son) to keep watching you for many years to come... assuming you don't blow up your house or something first. ;)
had a feeling it would be a wad of lipo batteries and a rectifier or load of diodes. this has given me an idea. we race at santapod and are always looking for rechargeable lights for camping. this is great. no more generators running at night. just a photonicinduction power cube.
overvolting a ceiling fan isn't gonna speed it up faster. (i mean it will, only because ceiling fans usually spin slowly on 120 or 240V, due to the blades being heavier) even without blades it will still run at the same speed, since they need frequency to turn.
While powering the 1500 watts light the had to deliver 6 amps, not bad for those ;ittle lipo's. Did you need to recharge the often during the shoot Photonicinduction?
@gskaloyan Pretty sure it's not too difficult to make, just dangerous and messy, but not difficult if you own the right tools. You'd also need patience. I'm also quite confident that they (don't) have to be those specific e-cig batteries, but any Li-Po battery connected in series with a dozens of the same individual voltage to achieve 240v. You'd just need the batteries to all be the same and really small & stackable, and not end up killing yourself in the process. Wouldn't recommend mass-producing these things by hand. Would be better off using CNC/machinery to do it by batch. Or just buy a 12v 120/200ah battery and a 1500w inverter.
I thought it was live hedgehogs with their coat spikes that the dieletric between the spikes gave power, and had a special design of a catalyst collector of the electrons.
I did not realise you had quit smoking. Well done.
I quit smoking two weeks ago
Good job m8.
I also used e-cigs to quit. Sadly, I *also* gained 15 pounds.
Bugger.
+TheJohn8765 worth it
3 yrs myself and counting
The first video where he didnt destroy something.
But he was very close to it. The little box could easilly catch fire due to some local overheat cased by continuous operation under heavy load. He didn't make it operate for any significant periods of time though so it looks like he kinda knew what he was doing.
I'm waiting to see how long it takes him to find out just what the maximum safe current draw is ;-)
yeah boring.
I'd say 81 e-cigs were destroyed. 😁
Not as dramatic as attaching them to one of his HV transformers, but innovative nonetheless.
Technically because they are LI-POs you could recharge them but you would have to individually charge each one because of the way that LI-POs charge.
At least he is Honest to tell............... Not like other fakers who puts video on UA-cam title as "Free Energy"
He was making some kind of generator at one point.
+Mark J Split molecules
+Mark J We should all be very afraid, because if Photon wants to start splitting atoms, he won't be satisfied with that and will then try splitting the entire universe to see if it pops, or not!

+Troggie42 except that's not splitting atoms, but rather splitting water molecules
It's quite amazing how much energy you can pack in such a tiny space. Great vid there man!
VERY nice video! I like YT channels that don't upload hoax videos.
you have a we bit of psychotic ways about yourself. your awesomeness is my enjoyment. love your channel. from Canada
Best regards, from England :)
+Photonicinduction Hi Andy. I Love your videos. Love how you're honest too and can you put my profile picture on the wall where the "BIG BOYS SUPPLY IS?" It would mean a lot. Thanks Cailean.
the next vid is being released Friday, can you paste a link straight in the comments so I can print without a download?
3 best things I ever did, quitting smoking, taking up running and subbing to your channel! ;)

Well, I didn't expect loads of smallish cells, mother of god,
So glad you're back at it mate.
such original man
much electricity
less death
wow
+Ame Nightcore don't let his memes be dreams.

+Ants In My Eyes Johnson xD
Pretty awesome that you can get that much power in such a small package. Nicely done!
I packed up smoking and the same happened, i have never felt so unhealthy.
Love your videos, keep them coming.

Never in a million years I would've guessed. Nice job being resourceful that way.
Awesome idea. Glad you are back on air!
these videos are easily the most entertaining on the web.
Bravo! Had me stumped, keep the videos coming. Love it!
Great work, always enjoy your vids. Greetings from Australia.
Well Done. Really enjoyed. Keep them coming.
thanks

I'm so glad, that you're back! :)
Thats just awesome, shows you how powerful lipos can be
great video, welcome back!
Good to see you andy, hope all is well. keep on tinkering!
Glad you're back at making vids m8, one of the coolest channels on the tubes :)
cheers mate
+Photonicinduction How much does one of those power cubes cost??.(Excellent video)
another masterpiece....cheers from nova scotia

thats awesome. That battery pack is scary! power that cant be turned off. Awesome little cube indeed.
Love your videos... keep em coming!
Well done and am in shock 😬💥⚡️ some power outage on those batteries
Thanks for another good one Andy
Congratulations on quitting the cigs, all of your subscribers can relate as we've been going through withdrawals due to lack of your videos!
Brilliant !! Great little cells and powerful to drive the 1500 Watt load at about 6.25 Amps
Man you crack me up. You would be the best neighbor.
Fantastic as always!
Andy that's Ace fella. Congrats on giving up smoking it obviously agrees with you as you're looking well and bright as a shiny new button. Best wishes and looking forward to more videos from you soon, take care fella.
Hope your well mate! Great videos as normal.
you have the voice of a serial killer but it makes these videos more entertaining seeing as you are playing with electricity. keep it up
You are my hero! Looking forward to more great videos from you.
Plenty more mate, I'm making time for it I hope
Take it outside, and boil a kettle off it. I wanna see the thing go thermo nuclear.
Photon you legend haha what an invention!!!
good to see you here :)
Use this, and some seriously powerful LEDs and you'll have yourself a torch that can rival the sun :)
*THE POWER OF THE SUN IN THE PALM OF MY HAND*
Nice reveal.... honestly, you had me wondering if you hadn't stumbled upon some alien power source. Good Job!
So good to see you back. Everyone here is so happy to have you back on our viewing list here at THE SHOP OF COLEBROOK NH.

Yayyyyy! That's cool. Oh. And congrats on stopping smoking!
i must admit i had thought of lipos. but was a bit off in terms of capacity.. bloody brilliant.. keep it up! 👍
BEST UA-camR ON UA-cam PHOTONIC INDUCTION IS BACK! GET IN!
What a gentleman. Love this man. Congrats on giving up the ciggies.
I just want to congratulate you on quitting smoking. It's hard to do. Well done. 👍👍
Cheers !
i never thought about e cig batteries!
I knew it was a load of batteries
Can you spell RED back wards?
+Uber Micro Repairs wut :D
Well I'm German of course I can.

Red backwards
Honestly, same here :D
Those are some badass batteries.
For anyone asking.

He is comming back soon dont worry :)
Dude that was awesome! 😎
Great video!
YAY! I got it totally correct. Didn't know what kind of batteries though. Great videos.
So not totally correct at all then? 😂
Very well done! :)
converting years of your life.. to electricity.., what an invention! great job!
great idea, you need to start marketing it !
Ha I would never have believed it that's awesome mate only you could think of using vaping battery like that it's awesome!!
Nice one thanks for telling!
Awesome as usual!
Incredible device
Nice experiment
A CFL would work in that too even though it's DC as the first thing the electronic driver does is rectifies the mains and smooths it.
true:)
Nice one. Gratz on kicking the smoking too.
That is magnificent!
awesome, love your vids don't ever stop :-)
fantastic as always photon
Keep up the good work!
Brilliant, I love it!
crazy.. well done
Arrrr I was close, well done for packing up smoking my brother used the same method and has given up for a few years now.
Awesome Channel. So you made this box? That's ingenious. Thanks for the video's all the way from the USA.
secondly if it can power over 240 volts. why not find something that requires more than 240 v.
Clever job!
Cheers from the US mate
congrats for quitting smoking. I really enjoy your videos and am glad to know that there's a much better chance for me (and soon my son) to keep watching you for many years to come... assuming you don't blow up your house or something first. ;)
you are very informative.
OOOO yeaaahhhhh fantastic.. More videos man please
had a feeling it would be a wad of lipo batteries and a rectifier or load of diodes.
this has given me an idea.
we race at santapod and are always looking for rechargeable lights for camping.
this is great.
no more generators running at night.
just a photonicinduction power cube.
Nice Photon. I quit in August last year and can confirm what you say about waistline.
lol I'm proud of it :)
Impressive what those little batteries can deliver... they are even rechargeable.
You should over volt a ceiling fan or a regular fan.

AMAZING!! NICE VIDEO
Now plug a transformer into it!
But you can't without burning the coils with DC.
Plug in a switchmode PSU and you'll be fine, though :D
it's DC no oscillation
I know that. Switchmode PSU's run on DC.
2:24
Switchmode PSU's run on 310 DC nominally , cuz it's span of 220 AC )
Yayyyyyy another video!!! Cheers!
Curious little device to confound your friends and confuse your frenemies! :D
I'd be interested to learn how you charge it :P
I treat the output like a universal serial bus lol
+photonicinduction look in to 18650 they can put out 8amp per cell :)
While powering the 1500 watts light the had to deliver 6 amps, not bad for those ;ittle lipo's. Did you need to recharge the often during the shoot Photonicinduction?
If you could get a hold of those batteries cheaply I bet you could sell those cubes online.
MAD , MAD , MAD , and very clever Idea .
Geez, wouldnt have expected this ;-)
Really cool!
