Oh, I like it! I actually didn't even realize until I began watching review channels that Bibles go out of print like that. It's a real bummer. Also, thank you for pointing me to the NKJV in general. I just got my NKJV Study (not the full color) and am loving it! I even dragged it, box and all, to a cafe so I could read in peace for a while.
My Bible came today...... I am bringing it to share with my Life group and show them tomorrow.... I love this format! YES, this needs to be brought back!
Thank you so much for reviewing this Bible! I was able to locate one and order it. This is an awesome Bible and I cannot agree more that this would be a super addition to the MacLaren series!!
How interesting Pastor Tim - and in my fav translation. There are so many Bibles no longer in print that I’d love to see again. NLT Caxton is one I’d like for sure and the Bible you showed us today would be great in the McLaren series. I think they are bringing out so many new Bibles that they focus on the new, rather than on the useful (to the reader).
Wow. This would be a great design in every version. Thanks for expanding my "gotta have it" list with an OOP edition. That sounds sarcastic, haha, but I really mean that. Thank you for devoting a video review to an OOP design that you found at a thrift shop. You were walking with God to share this with us, brother. Jesus on, indeed.
QUESTION FOR TIM??? That concept is awesome, and I like how it is presented with the blue letters. My question is, "since the cross references' are in line with the Canon, do the OT or NT have any of the same type of referrals for the NON-Canon quotes for instance that Paul, Peter, or Jude refers to with whom they quote their comments from?
That is neat how they have the whole reference scripture right there so you don't have to keep going back and forth between one passage to the other. That's the main reason I don't like cross references. I hope somebody brings that back, whether it's Holman or Thomas Nelson or Zondervan or whoever.
I have one and it's a nice bible. If they bring it back I hope they do more cover options than just the leathersoft. They are not good. The one that I have has spent most of its life in the box and used only sparingly and the cover is already flaking.
Holman was forced to withdraw this Bible because there are several words missing in Acts 19: 8-10. Look it up. It is difficult to understand this error. Bad proof reading? Computer error? I pray someone does this again correctly.
Hold onto those dust jackets if you ever think you’re going to want to sell books or Bibles later especially ones that might be considered collectibles. Because collectors love dust jackets! Greatly increases the value of the book
There’s only one publisher and they are linked in the description. I don’t see that there is an ISBN. That’s usually for those who make dozens of different books/bibles.
Oh man, that is phenomenal! Yes, I want this concept back!
Love this! Bring it back please.
Man I hope they bring this back! This is one great bible to have. Wow! 🤯
Really like that! Someone needs to bring that back. Couldn't agree more.

That is a cool Bible & it would be awesome to have it back in print. Thank you for showing it to us😊

I figured out it has an error in Acts 19:8-10. There are a few words missing.
I found one of these in a small Christian bookshop today. I picked it up after seeing your review the other day. Thanks for the recommendation!!

This is an awesome concept! I hope they bring it back!
This concept is brilliant and would save so much work in study. I hope they bring it back, no matter wich translation.
As a pastor, this would be great to reference every sermon!!
I would definitely buy this if it were available. Hope it makes a comeback.
I've got a new one on ebay
From your lips to God's ears, Brother Tim!
I Love this this is so helpful when studying.

I would love one of these❤
I so hope Holman brings that back and prints it in the CSB 🙏
G.K. Beale is heading up a Bible based on his NT Commentary of the OT which is going to do something very similar. Definitely looking forward to that.
Yeah!!! I’m going to have to find me that Bible! Thx Tim!
Wow I really enjoyed your review of this out of print Bible.
I would SO buy this if they brought the concept back. They need to reprint or Thomas Nelson needs to get it printed
Wow, I love those references! I think that's very helpful for a first time reader.
Very nice idea. Looks like you got a pristine "second hand" version!
Sounds like a really nice bible. Thank you for sharing.

I agree. Would be nice to have this in a few translations.
I really like this! In CSB or LSB also would be good.
Suggest you read that Bible's preface!
Giant print PLEASE.

This is strictly a readers reference bible. It uses the Bible to reference itself. And it is obviously not exhaustive.

Thanks Pastor Tim, you must have the best thrift stores! 👍😄
This looks really cool. Didn't know Holman put out any NKJVs...
I would be interested to know how it handles the Book of Revelation, since some say there are many illusions to the Old Testament
Best of all no footnotes. So is that another edition of the preface or an abridged version of the second preface?
Seems it is a different version all together.

Very nice
Where can I get one? I would really enjoy reading through that.
You’ll have to find one second hand.
I had one but found there were whole verses accidentally left out (as I recall in the epistles). Fix that and it would be great!
I’ll have to find that.
@anickelsworthbiblereviews also Acts 19:9-10.
Acts 19:9-10 is not missing.
That is COOL!

can you post the ISBN?

Do you have any recommendations for NIV readers Bible?
They had one years ago, but I believe it is out of print. Pretty sure they had a single and multi volume set.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews yes sir, I own the multi volume set and I was hoping to find a single version. Thank you.
I really wish they’d print an nkjv with apcrophya as a Catholic
The Orthodox Study Bible is very close to that. Check it out.
@ thank you had a good review on it already watched it 😂😊
Found one ..... price is up there....but....
:)
