No pyrotechnics, no smoke and mirrors. One instrument, one voice and it absolutely kills. Modern country spends a lot of time and effort covering up the fact that the talent isnt there. Jamey is outstanding

Much agreed. Dress up a pretty boy like a cowboy, who has never stepped in horse shit in his life, and the Nashville songwriter does the work and gets very little credit. Just my opinion.

Such a beautiful song,,, I Buried my bestfriend my Vietnam vet March 15 2020 , no visitors no sermon, stood by my truck as they lowered him into his grave at the National cemetery in Pruntytown WV . Covid has taken so much and lives of many many more. He may be gone from this world where his demons chased him halfway around the world , many of times I set with him under the kitchen table because in his mind he was back in nam , I never uttered a word other then sat quietly with him until the panic and flashback was over. What I wouldn't do just to set quietly once more with him. He's left his demons and he's at peace but I miss him every day.

God Bless him. I had uncles who fought in Nam. One in particular brought back a lot of the horrors of War with him (he slept under his bed for several years, with his shotgun in his hands). Horrible War, fought by our Nations finest. - Marine Vet

This man doesn’t get the respect he deserves. He was sure blessed with such a voice. Never been to a concert that sold wooden plaques of all different kind of quotes( that Jamey would personally sign) after the concert. All you had to make an ANY DOLLAR AMOUNT DONATION ! All proceeds go to the Wounded Warriors Project. I am a fan for life. Good ol country boy! Countin down the days to hear you again. Oh and besides Chicago, who else do you see having 13 instruments playing behind him? YOU ROCK JAMEY JOHNSON! 💜🎶

Got goosebumps just about the time I saw this post as I was scrolling thru & had to say something. NO ONE can remake or do a cover of ANY Skynyrd song & be REMOTELY CLOSE to doing it justice. I HATE the shinedown version & turn it EVERY TIME! I will say that the only reason I clicked on it is because I like Chris Stapleton and I knew but if anyone can do any good covers of Skynyrd it would damn sure be this man! Good God! This man did it justice and then some! He needs more credit for this song! I will also say this for that man up there picking... he SERIOUSLY deserves more credit cuz he's TOTAL fire on that sucker...he need a little more recognition because he's got an incredible amount of talent and is a very skilled musician! Just saying!

Heartfelt singing performance, wowzers all the way. Like a soldier was right there on stage telling a story. Vietnam was one of worst homecoming given to our boys returning from the war. They all deserved the red carpet.

Sandra Frantz - Starke doesn’t have a prison. Jail, but no prison. Raiford is about 7 or so miles away from Starke. That’s probably the confusion.

@@jamesmartin9406 The prison they call Florida State Prison uses a Starke address . It's not in Starke city limits but it's in Bradford county. Starke is the county seat for Bradford county. By the way , it's spelled Raiford and it's been called Union Correctional Institution for over 50 years now.
