Okay so I just tested out a old new part that I had on 150cc scooter it's called a over range variator it's a bigger than OEM. Okay my car used to wind out around 35 miles an hour and that is by GPS speed. The only thing I have done I put 16 g rollers I put golf cart street tires and this over range variator now I can Cruise easily and the motor sounds happy at 40 miles an hour top out about 51 that's pretty awesome I think especially when you take into consideration I only paid $29 for this variator and I think the variator is the key I love the lower engine RPMs and almost, dare I say it ,silent nature of my cart.

Joe Novice LOL i was looking to get one do you think it would work out for a 6'5" guy about 270lbs?

I'm 6'4" and 260 lbs. you should be OK. The operating instructions printed on the floorboard say the weight limit is 330 lbs, however I've been in it with other 250 lb guys and nothing broke... Ive got 500 hard miles on it now.

+john doe Yeah, it does some serious rattling when you take it over rough terrain. I've now got almost 400 miles on mine - and they were hard miles, at least 90% was on rough terrain. I'm having some respect now for the tubular construction and their positioning of the shocks, etc. Seems to be a good design.

just bough one today, was slow at first but now thats its broken in a little its better. Do you have any problems with shifting into D?? Mine seems to stick and got stuck in R twice

+Dorian Hurtado Yeah, it doesn't like to go in reverse. I pretty much have to hold it in reverse until it engages, and it tends to engage harshly, so I have to feather it.

Well at least it's not just me. Lol I just leave it in drive now. It's still tons of fun

Sounds like cable needs to be adjusted

mine is just the opposite. I practically have to hold it in reverse to get the transmission to back up. Yeah, probably is a cable adjustment.
