I'm near certain Patrick Graham is gonna leave for a head coaching job next year. I'm worried that if/when the defense regresses, is Getsy the guy to take our offense into a SB run before the defense gets super expensive.
The Defense has been together for the most part of 3yrs. Our offense is learning a new system. Our Defense is our stron suit. #1 Defense this year

It’s different defensively tho it always takes time for defenses to grow and even then it doesn’t work out. In this day and age offenses hit the ground running but I saw this coming the day we hired Getsy. AP did a horrible job hiring his offensive staff and that is why will probably go 4-13 to 6-11.

Justin Fields is terrible. All he can do is stare down one receiver and then take off running or throw an INT. He can't read coverages, he can't diagnose defenses, he can't go through 2 or 3 progressions. It was reported also that he wasn't interested in getting advice from other veteran QBs. Getsy is from the Shanahan/McVay/LaFleur coaching tree. If we can run the ball well and the Oline can pass block then the offense will be fine b/c I'm confident that AOC or Minshew are both smarter than Fields. This is much ado about nothing.

Us Raider fans want to believe that Fields was the problem but nah man Getsy is a terrible coach he’s the same as Hackett ot Paul Guenther these guys cant build a offense on they own they’re only good when theirs a established offense in place with a established offensive minded HC watching over them.

Good coaching will always adjust and I dont mean Getsy. If the offense is gridlocked by too much info, I think AP will get Getsy to simplify things.
Offenses usually start out slowly. Also remember that we are in a whole new scheme. Let's see how things develop once we get into training camp.

Sanjit you raise a valid point. One of the criticism of Josh McDaniels offense was that it was too complicated and it hi dered the players performance. Is history repeating itself. Coaches should follow the KISS principle. That makes it easy on coaches and players. What's the point I having an offense that's very complicated and players take forever to learn. By then the coach is replaced and we start all over again. A valuable lesson for AP.
What did shanahan do with trey lance? The defense is in yr 3, with EVERYBODY coming back + some key additions. This is year one for the offense, with new RB, new OL, etc etc. it was to be expected. Not only that, the defense knows what plays the offense are running. They see them everyday .Id be more concerned if the offense outplayed our defense 😂
Makes sense, it takes much longer than OTAs to install an offense, all the while the D is returning all starters and scheme. Thanks for the videos, they are the best out there…Happy Fathers Day to all the dads!

No OC is going to make just any QB amazing
To be honest it’s not smart to pluck coordinators from losing franchises. Hopefully this works out. Also we have a really good defense so it might be hard to move the ball against these guys.
I appreciate your breakdown of ota and the beginning of 2024 season. Luke was not what I wanted either and Bears offense last year reinforced my suspicion.

The QB Coach, JP Sullivan, covered 3 Bears games (Fields) last season and was very critical of OC in one of those games and indifferent in two. Naturally, I groaned when we took Luke, who was the last available OC.

Reports coming out of Steelers camp is that Wilson is winning the starting job by a long shot and that Fields accuracy is bad, Wilson would need a disastrous preseason loss the job. Gets was the Packers passing game coordinator when Adams in both seasons Adams had his highest yards total and highest TD total. We're in good shape with Getsy and he has some nice play designs for 12 personel. He also has better weapons here in LV and a better offensive line.
So we are now in the era of Micro managing our football teams to the fine line. Man, o man, what social media has done good and bad.

This is worth reporting. Every year we are going to the Super Bowl and fans get mad half way through the season.
As a Raider fan that lives in Chicago, I was extremely nervous about the Getsy hiring after watching every game of his OC career. While JF1 was part of the issues for the Bears struggles, so was Luke. His 2nd and 4th quarter play calling was not very good, and at times far too conservative. The offense seemed sloppy too many times as well. I'm hoping the 2024 Raiders don't follow suit.
Getsy's offense looked pretty good with Tyson Bagent running it.
A.P. said "nobody ever says the offense is way ahead of the defense IN JUNE." So many people believe in Fields he was worth conditional 6th. Love your videos, even though i disagree and think this makes sense they looked off, i still rather have video i disagree, than no Sanjit for the day. :)
Exactly. Fields is another Ohio St bust QB. Stroud is the only one who has ever turned out to be good in the pros. Fields is trash. No one wanted him. The Steelers basically gave up nothing for him.

I haven't watched the video ot read the comments yet but if they're not full of people saying things like "no kidding our offense looks bad, if it didn't, we would be in some serious hurt this year. We have a completely new offense being installed across from a 99% returning and improved defense that finished the season number 1 in the league. If this isn't a non story, I don't know what is!
We will see just how good Getcy is. Let's just hope this dude doesn't make things worse
I agree totally! The OC was a bad hire! It is very easy for us armchair coaches to see when the playcalling is wrong! We could see that with Olsen, Gruden’s OC! When we start losing, I just hope AP takes the reins from Getsy, like he did from Graham,( after which the defense extremely improved) and calls a better, simplified offense!
Luke Getsy is no Kyle Shannahan, Getsy was APs 3rd Choice and my BIGGEST concern regarding the Raiders 2024 team is Luke Getsy's ability to properly manage an Offense, and our LT Kolton Miller.
Let's hope for the best, but as a Raider fan since 1967, if we're gonna have issues within the offense my focus is gonna be on Getsy more than AOC or Minshew

I’m surprised coaches aren’t able to adjust the scheme or how it’s taught to the players. Also, these aren’t just players these are world class athletes experts in their position. It shouldn’t be that complicated. If this is true it is very concerning. KEEP IT SIMPLE GETSY!
There is no running game in OTAs defense just sits back and waits for the pass and you add a new system to the mix not to mention how good are defense was by the end of the year and how the defense has improved in the offseason. With that being said it would be more concerning if the defense wasn’t dominating.

And Derek Carr had to learn how many playbooks I never heard any bs excuses about to little or to much information or constantly having to change systems,players, coaches, GMS, stadiums ,bad teammates yet I never heard anything from Derek concerning those issues yet through all that he managed to grab a few QB records

Your soooo close to being spot on. Defense= Easily have the Coaching and Players to reach the post season. Offense= Most likely have the Players and doubtful we have the Coaching. AP will be under pressure to fix it. Tre looks like the quickest and fastest WR on our roster. Easy.
In these 7 on 7's, are they running the ball? Are they just playing catch and cover? While no Maxx Crosby is coming after the QB, if no RB is keeping safeties honest then the offense is vanilla at best. It's not the 1970's anymore. You can't just wing it. One of Aidan's strong suits was his ability to read defenses. He wasn't always on the same page with the receivers but they were dropping some passes too. The Raiders are also not going to show a tattle tale like Reed everything.
When Gruden implemented the west coast offense with Carr he struggled

I hope it's not another Josh McDaniels overly complicated system. Just seems like less can be better. Some OC's will risk success to be right, or their way to show off what they know.
Your reading to much into this fields thing and Getsy. The story out on Fields is that he doesn’t process information very quickly on defenses to be able to audible out of plays and would just run the play anyway despite the defensive alignment showing it wasn’t going to work. Then he would rely on his feet to get him by. I guess he’s just not that smart or there would have been a play for him when he was available.

I think, anytime a new office is installed. There is a learning curve. We need to be patient and stop trying to manifest a shitty season based on 10 days of play. Our defense has been together three years now. We probably need an upgrade at quarterback, but Minshew has never had this kind of talent around him and he managed to win.

The time Getsy was there, they didn't have a 49/Chiefs type defense, in defense to the correlation of success, especially pointing out a Superbowl run by the 49ers as if the QB took them, Jimmy G.
Point is, there's always multiple intangibles to team success. Not just maybe this and that's it.
Like, D. Carr would be good enough now, with our defense playing like this.

In all honesty, the way they drafted suggests they are building a team for a rookie QB in the future, to come in and be comfortable.
It isn't the OC in most cases. It's the talent that wins. When you don't have the talent, the team is not going to succeed. An OC can be bad but to think that a good OC is going to bring a bad talent to the Super Bowl is comical.

Justin Fields' comment sounds like JR. When your QB is making excuses to the media about his shortcomings it reflects mostly on himself and that he just can't learn. If Aiden is to be successful he will have to be able to learn and not make up excuses about how he used to do it in college.

Getsy was trash with the bears!. Honestly that will be the biggest thing for the year. Not our QB the offense with Getsy calling it . Biggest issue after not being able to draft a QB. Getsy is the story here .

It’s what? Day 2 of a completely different offensive install?? To say they’re struggling and making it a point of discussion is comical and unrealistic to be honest. Rome wasn’t built in a day. New GM, HC, offensive staff, new system with new players and coaches. Everyone is learning Getsy scheme who aren’t familiar with it. Once we get about half way through camp and this is still the case? May be room for concern then but right now everyone just needs to chill the hell out.

Andy Reid made it to ONE SB with the eagles & was talked about as being a coach that could never win the big games but now people say "oh if Patrick Mahome's didnt go to KC would he even be good? This talk is ridiculous as TOM Brady proved players mean more recently & I always knew this my whole life since I played in college & HS... the players win & lose the games ...the coaches just put you in the best position to succeed but they aren't the reason. I do not follow the narrative that it matters where you go... If you are a Hall of fame player you will be great NO MATTER where you go & I have seen it happen a lot in my life.
I think just listening to this nonsense it why I usually don't even waste my time during this time of year.. Aiden O'Connell will be our starter & he will be very good this year & everyone will finally shut up. The Kid worked all off season & has done this his entire life & he will be better & I dont believe Fields is a great qb (throwing or decision making) but can he be 100& Justin can be in Pittsburg ...he needs to work hard. Luke Getsy thew jury is still out on but the system doesn't make or break the player if the player is great ... At this point in time AoC is not a great QB & either is Minshew so Getsy's offense can have an impact but I do believe Aiden's Talent is going to make Getsy's offense look better as they finish pre season ... Alex Smith was an above average NFL QB. Very mobile and very accurate & made the right reads. Not many INTs. I stopped watching when you started talking about him in the same vein as Jimmy G... Who is also better than any QB on the Raiders roster. Being able to make the right read is more important than anything else. That's why Fields wasn't better. He struggled finding the open guys. The Bears offense created open receivers but Fields didn't throw it to them/ Watch "Tape Don't Lie"

You have a an offense that is installing while one of the best defensive coordinators is continuing his defense. I think this is a slight reach but an interesting take, and also because I take into account what Mayer said on media day. He said this offense is simplified. We should take into account how difficult the previous offense was. I don’t think a new implemented offense is going to destroy a top 10 defense and one of the best DCs right away. We should all take a step back and breathe

Initially, I hated the Getsy hire and only warmed up to it once Adams spoke up in support of him. Hearing that from Reed does worry me a little, but there's time and training camp still left in the first year of this scheme.
