Hello Francis and thank you for your comment. We agreed on keeping the island table lower than the kitchen countertops because it's easier for mixing by hand, of which we do a lot. When we need more height we have the counters, so that's working well for us. The sink is working out nicely for our needs so far. 🙂 Thank you for your suggestions though.
The kitchen is so unique . I can tell you put a lot of thought in designing it and the found pieces you repurposed are beautiful. Your copper art is A1. Can’t wait to see more of your restoration.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We were very lucky to have acquired some old furniture when we bought the house. They just needed a little help to work in the room.
Thank you 🙂 I know how you feel re the blackboard. It is a double-sided blackboard though, and he also wrote his name on the back! so I won't paint that side 😊
Loved your kitchen. You both are very talented. Liked that you added some of your copper in the shelves behind the table. And most of all most of the items are recycled which makes it more special. Lots of love from Florida
Hello and thanks for your comment! That's a lovely idea. I'm kind of glad of the curtain though because there are some cups in there that are a bit too colourful, but have sentimental value 😊 They might look a bit out of place!
Thank you very much! There's no room above the attic door for a window, no. But we will be adding a chandelier to the landing at the top of the stairs, in front of that door. So there'll be lots of light. 🙂
I hope you didn't think I was trying to be funny asking where you are from,I live in the middle of the English countryside and never hear any Irish accents let alone a Dublin one,
I hope you don’t paint the school blackboard it is part of the history and the rest of your kitchen contains rustic items and I think the blackboard as is is much more interesting than if you paint it!
I love how adorable the little blackboard is too, but luckily it's double sided, with the kiddie writing on both sides. So my compromise is only to paint one side and keep the back in its original state.
Hello from PEI Canada. I am pleased that I found your videos, very enjoyable. I'll keep watching.
Hello Joed, I'm delighted you found us too! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos.
A deeper, wider sink could help with all kinds of projects… island height higher makes it easier on your back

The kitchen turned out beautiful! I love to see the transformation of the before and after.
Thank you ! The room really has come back from total neglect. It feels so good to see it all fixed up.
The kitchen looks beautiful and has such a warm and homely feel, such beautiful work you are both doing xxxx
Thank you very much, that's so kind 🙂
Yes to the additions/deletions for the sink stand. The changes seem to make it “fit”! How lovely this room will be when finished.
It definitely helped to remove the wooden backsplash. The eye doesn't lie! It just wasn't working.
GORGEOUS!! You and Nicholas have done such a beautiful job!! Enjoy your kitchen!
Thank you Marloes! We're looking forward to cooking our first house-warming meal ✨

Beautiful 😍....pls keep the little blackboard with the name on. So much history in it!

Every detail is just beautiful! 💙
Thank you! We're very happy with how it all came together
The kitchen is absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you very much! It's great to see it back as a functional room. No more going out to the well to fill the kettle for tea! 😊
it's beautiful!
Thank you! We're so happy everything turned out as planned.
Love your kitchen renovation. Looks relaxed and simple. Nice upcycling ideas. The blackboard is a lovely link to the previous owners.
Thank you very much 🙂 It's a nice room to spend time in. I was delighted to incorporate the blackboard and it's turning out quite useful!
Just amazing. You have both created such a beautiful kitchen. What a transformation. Love it!
Thank you 🙂 The room has definitely come a long way!
The kitchen is lovely. So inviting and cozy.
Thank you very much. This room has come a long way from the dark and dreary space it used to be, so I'm very happy that you find it inviting. 🙂
How lovely and special everything has come together ! Great wotk guys !
Thank you very much! It definitely feels like a reward to see it so transformed.
your styling and taste is exquisite! this was such a pleasure to view

Thank you! It is so much fun to repurpose old furniture, and so much more budget-friendly too. They bring a lovely sense of history to the room.
You did such an amazing job! Kitchen looks lovely💖💖💖
Thank you so much! 🙂 It feels great to have completed it. It was definitely the most challenging.
Your kitchen is beautiful :) I can see you've fallen for the Liberon paints! Love them too...
Thank you! I love everything Libéron 😊 It's nice to support 'made in France'.
The kitchen looks beautiful. You could always put the same wallpaper in the back of the dresser instead of the curtains.

So pretty!
Thank you! 🙂
Beautiful 👌
Thank you very much! 🙂
Great job
Thank you very much 🙂
Wow ! I love the kitchen and I saw those tiles somewhere and for at least a year I have been trying to find them here in US . ❣️
Thank you 🙂 Best of luck in your search for the tiles 🤞 They're called 'Victoria' and they're made in Italy. I hope you find them!
@@athome_infrance thank you so much ! 🥰
@@ce1581 My pleasure!
💕Looks fantastic💕Above your attic doorway is there room for a window💕

No worries! I always get excited when I hear an Irish accent on UA-cam too. It doesn't happen very often. Have a lovely weekend!

Hello,you sound like a southsider
If you mean the South of Ireland you would be right. If you mean the southside of Dublin, it must be a family influence coming through!
@@athome_infrance Southside of Dublin, " family influence coming through!" I dont understand that bit
@@Phronsias1 My family is from Dublin but I didn't grow up there. That must be where my accent is coming from.
@@athome_infrance I left Dublin (northside) in 1984, where did you grow up, you sound like a southsider
@@Phronsias1 I grew up mostly in Leinster but ended up in Cork. My 'southside' accent must be a mixture of both 🙂
