Such an impact . This song is everything. Especially in this world. Thank you Gavin for standing on the shoulders of other fighting this fight . Love is truly love . Rest in Peace .
i first heard Gavin perform this at The Factory Theatre a year ago in Toronto. it's been the anthem of my life since then. to see it come alive like this now is just incredible. i lived too far away to be apart of this but am so grateful to those who did and to everyone watching/liking/buying/sharing this and supporting equality: you are beautiful people
This is an anthem for change and equality. Not just for gays like us, but for everyone who suffers because of his identity. Powerful music, damn good music. Amazing!
Gavin - The world is a better place because of the noise that you and Broadway Impact have made! Get loud, stay loud and keep makin' that noise! It does make a difference!
This is not only an important moment in (music) history, it's an incredible song with an evocative vocal and moving video. Fantastic Gavin and Robbie. Congratulations!
Amazing job Gavin and Andrew! The video is beautiful and broke my heart more than once. It was so much more than I was expecting from you... and I was expecting plenty. I'm so glad I got to be part of it. Keep making that NOISE! ^_^
I love this. I still remember learning what "gay" was at a very young age and my parents using the word "love" to describe it. Being that young, I always saw it as a good thing, not a negative, for equality. But it all has to do with how children are raised, not necessarily due to religion. I believe very firmly in God and Jesus Christ, but I also believe very firmly that all people deserve equal rights.
Gavin Creel is the best, I am glad to be the 1,000 sub to his channel! His voice is godly and this song is so incredible. Anything he does is incredible
WHAT AN AMAZING SONG!!! Seriously you guys at broadway impact are amazing! This is an amazing cause and i have told everyone about this song, whether they are gay, straight, lesbian ect. This is an issue that affects us all!!!!! Thank you for making it available in the uk as well. xx
You rock Gavin! You are such an inspiration!! I saw him perform this live earlier this year in New York and was instantly in awe of the song and his performance.
What a wonderful song. I recommend posting this video on various site advocating for the rights of sexual minorities and then asking them to re-post or create a status challenging followers to post videos of their songs, pictures of their art and so on.
@MrChampinion That would be Anne Coulter. If you feel like discarding whatever faith in humanity you had left go watch some of the other things she's said. Then, come back here and watch this phenomenal masterpiece of a music video to restore some of your faith in humanity.
first, can i just say how amazing the message of this song is?! second, i have to say that i can't stand when people paraphrase bible teachings to justify their beliefs. i had a religious perspectives on human relationships course taught at a catholic college...my teacher was an openly gay ordained pastor...and everyone in that class is more open-minded thanks to it :) again, this is amazing and needs to be shared!
"Gays can't reproduce, they have to recruit." You mean, recruit the wonderful children that were abandoned by parents who didn't care about them? Thank God there are people loving enough to take care of those children and bring them into their homes.
I'm listening to this song as I pray for the Supreme Court to make the right decision on marriage equality in my home state (Ohio) today. Thank you, Gavin, for your words and actions in support of equality. They mean so much to me.
In my eyes, no-one should be denied the right to a legal marriage. What worries me is increase in abuse of the current systems we have (ex. employer insurance) by those who do not legitimately love one another. Anyway, you have composed a good piece of music. :)
No matter who you are. Gay, straight, coloured or caucasian. Woman or man. no one should ever get repressed, especially by yourselves. Never be ashamed of who you are or of what other people think of you.
I love this song so much! Though I am not gay myself, I have a lot of friends who are, being in theater you tend to. I have always thought that anyone should be able to marry and love any one they choose. Who are we to judge who they love? As a nation who prides it's self on diversity and equality and freedom, why should we put limits on something so uncontrolable as love? In debate I got to argue the side for gay marriage in class. I won. Love equality should be for all!
This song is great. It makes me feel empowered. But it's the music video that makes it an equality anthem... It feels to me more like an anthem for revolution. :-)
I find it funny how some christians can look me in the eye and tell me that someone who's gay isn't healthy - that they're wrong - even evil. It's funny how they can act like love only means 'being straight' it's funny how they try to define it like that. While in reality it's not. I'm a christian too, but I will never - ever - choose to believe that being gay is wrong. Because it's not. Because they're in love too. And that's all that matters in my book.
this is perfect!!!!! I cant help being gay.. ive even tried to be straight. but i cant. i am in love with the most beautiful girl in the world and i'll scream it out!!!!!!!!!
Great Song! Just one small constructive critique: Would you consider changing the line 'stand like girls and men'? For many of us women, using the words girls and men together supports the inequality of women. I understand the issue of syllabification and meter; but how about something like 'Women. Men...'? Thank you again for a great song.
@vicmockingjac To me it seems they are saying; "Gay, straight, black, white, marriage is a civil right!" and later is sounds like they are saying: "What do we want?" "Equal rights!" "When do we want it?" "Now!"
I believe firmly in God. And I don't believe that He would ever tell us to persecute anyone for love. Did Jesus Christ not teach us about love and why we shoud support love? That was Jesus Christ's teachings. Love. So why can't we stick to His word and let people love? Love should not be designed for one specific type of love. Love is love. Hate is hate. Keep them on opposite sides of this universe.
First, let me say I love Gavin Creel. He's a very talented singer, and I also have some nostalgia attached to him, since I liked the Eloise movies as a kid. As for my personal views, I feel I could probably piss off people on both sides of the spectrum. First of all, I do not support gay marriage for (you probably guessed it) religious reasons. I don't hate equality, I just can't compromise conscience on this one. BUT (I hope you're still reading) this does not mean that I hate gay people or would condone any persecution of them whatsoever. The religious reasons I mentioned earlier also demand that I love them, no matter what. I have friends who are gay, and I hope they know I will be there for them if they need it, just as I know they would for me. And I know the hardcore liberals will read this and say "Oh, whatever, he's just trying to cover up his bigoted hate speech," just as I'm sure there are some fundamentalists who would read this and say, "How dare he support them?! All gays are going to hell!" Whatever. Everybody has their points of view, and this is mine. Take it, or leave it.
Don't like "gay marriage"? Then don't have one. And while you and your faith may not support marriage equality, other, more caring religions do, so why should the government stop them from performing same-sex unions? Remember, no church can be forced to perform marriages - the Catholic and Mormon Churches only marry people of their own faiths, the former insisting on marriage classes before the wedding can occur. Your insistence that because you don't like it, nobody should have it, is telling.
John Vezina Thanks for fulfilling my prediction. Love how you completely ignored the rest of the comment and read WAY too much into that one sentence. I just said I still love them. But as long as I don't agree with you one-hundred percent, you're not okay with it? You seem pretty intolerant yourself. You seriously need to chill the hell out. Most of the stuff you said has nothing to do with what I said.
David Johnson And slave owners "loved" their slaves. You would impose your faith on every other American - the most unAmerican thing imaginable. I read every word of your self-serving tripe, but the "love the sinner, while hating the sin" is so 1950s, time to realize you can't impose your 'morals' on the rest of us - as the Supreme Court will no doubt affirm in June.
John Vezina Okay, all I did was say what I believe. When did I try to impose that on anyone? Seems to me you're the one who's set on getting me to believe what you believe. And should I comment on the obvious outrage that you're comparing this issue with slavery? Nah...
David Johnson I, for one, fully support marriage equality! However, something that sometimes bothers me is when those on the side of marriage equality claim that everyone against gay marriage is filled with "hate". Hate really is a strong word, and yes, there are tons and tons are gay marriage opponents who certainly do hate gay people. But I believe you when you say you don't hate gay people, and I also believe that there are many opponents to gay marriage that share your view. But I also don't think that you really fully support your gay friends. If so, you would want them to be able to have (which they now do) the option of getting married and achieving the same legal status as you would if you got married to someone of the opposite sex. Basically, I do not think that it is always necessarily a question of "hate" so much as it is a failure to see and understand the other side of the situation.
Thinking of you today. Thank you for sharing your talent and for everything you did for the community ❤
I've had this song on repeat for two days straight now and it is still just as fantastic as it was the first time.
Such an impact . This song is everything. Especially in this world. Thank you Gavin for standing on the shoulders of other fighting this fight . Love is truly love . Rest in Peace .

Those shots in the beginning make me sick. I dont understand why people feel that way or why they can't just accept difference.

This guy is gonna be Elder Price on The Book of Mormon's American tour! He'll be good I think, but he'll have to do well to top Andrew Rannells!
