Mcarbo has been around since 2012. I've been building and repairing guns for over 30 years. I consider Mcarbo a gift to gun owners everywhere. Excellent parts, excellent videos, excellent prices.

I have installed three MCARBO kits in CZ75's that have safety levers only. I did no cleaning or polishing, just pull and replace. After the installs, the three average out at ~3.0 lbs in SA and almost 8.0 lbs in DA. I'm very satisfied with the MCARBO 75 kit. The triggers are smooth and crisp. At the range, each one had no problems and no light strikes running 400rds each of S&B and Magtech ammo.

I put the MCARBO spring kit in my P07 and polished up all the parts. Wouldn’t have done it if it hadn’t been for MCARBO’s excellent DIY video. Results are awesome. I just ordered the CGW short trigger return kit and extended mag release. Can’t wait to put those in. All of these mods together cost about $150. Next mod might be to cerakote the frame (?).

P-01 Omega-Trigger: DA @ 8+ lbs (beyond my gauge) and SA @ 6.5 lbs. After installing a MCARBO spring kit, over-sized CGW DA roller, and polishing the trigger bar: DA @ 6.5 lbs and SA @ 2.5 lbs.

I had about 20k rounds through my SP-01, loved it. CZ's are difficult to work on though...very difficult. This is where I learned what a 'slave pin' is and how useful one can be. I used the Cajun Gun Works spring kit, took me a few hours to do the project. Also, to note, the firing pin retaining roll pin on the back of the slide is a 'wear item', but it is not as bad as CARBO says, mine lasted 8k rounds before needing replaced.

Wished I saw this video before I bought the cgw pro kit. Would have saved me $$. Not knocking on the cgw pro kit but it’s definitely not worth $400.

MCARBO products are super affordable and can make all the difference for some especially lower end guns. Of course they are gonna be hard pressed to make a better trigger then the bigger companies but for 1/8th the price. And just like the big companies they absolutely stand behind their products. I had a defective product, (an extended bolt handle for my Sub2000). They swiftly replaced it. There was apparently a product recall due to poor heat treat or something and they sent me a third handle a couple days later when they realized their mistake. It was a good call because after about 600 more rounds the second handle broke. However the properly hardened handle has nearly 10,000 rounds with issue.

I think the differences between the cgw kit and mcarbo are fairly minuscule, but in the mcarbo video, he did polish the internal parts and I think that’s what helped them drop the trigger weight to almost half of what it started as when he tested it at the end. Either way you go, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I did the same kit including the floating trigger pin swap yesterday on my CZ75 SP01. The results are excellent...it halved trigger pull. The install video is outstanding and easy to follow. My hiccup came with the sear spring swap. My gun doesn’t have the decocker, but does have an ambi safety. The gun in the vid doesn’t have ambi safety, so I spent an additional 20 minutes trying to figure out how to disassemble/reassemble the right side safety switch. Aside from that, I’m very happy with MCARBO and will buy more stuff from them without reservation.

It took me about 2 hours to do a full install of a combo of the macarbo kit, Cajun Gun works parts, old style combat trigger, their trigger spring, reset spring, and warren fiber front sight. I blacked out the rear. This is all for my Pcr as well. I used a slave pin for my sear cage and must have got lucky because everything lined up perfectly and I didn’t have to re-install or tinker with anything. I do wish I would have changed the hammer/ lifter, and done the short reset system all at the same time. Because I really don’t feel like taking it all apart for those few things. It’s probably sitting around a 7 to 8 lb double action and a 3.5 single. Good enough for me. Especially since I do carry this pistol. I’m thinking about sending it in to get milled for the holosun and then installing the barrel bushing from Cajun Gun Works. I believe it would be on par with something like the staccato c2 at that point. I use the Mecgar mags with the 10 spring follower kit for 16+1 in a completely flush mag. I also have a mecgar mag with the taran tacatical base plate and 10 spring follower kit that gives me 22+1. Makes the grip about an 1/8th inch longer than the full size model. I can ccw it with the long mag in just shorts and a t shirt but I’m 6ft 3 and an athletic 200lbs. I usually just carry the 16 round mag though because it’s just easier and lighter. Use the 22 as a spare.

I have put a MCarbo kit in my CZ P09 Omega and it made a good improvement over the stock trigger. I did the install myself and it was as you say, "a pain in the A##". I have had Cajun Gun Works do two trigger jobs on two CZ97s I own and they are wonderful and completely reliable. I would say if you are on a budget and mechanically competent then MCarbo is worth a try.

Good review. The funny thing is, they are just springs. It really comes Down to spring rate and quality of spring. I think they need to be of good quality in my opinion, to get a high rating. What is the point of changing all the springs , time spent, to have them fail after 500 rounds? What’s your update on the quality? What makes me nervous is, where are they made?

To get the advertised drop in trigger pull weight the mcarbo relies on extensive polishing of the trigger bar, sear, hammer, roller bearing, disconnector for the striker block and the striker block itself...at least for the p07 according to the mcarbo installation video.

I am not one for leaving reviews (especially negative ones) However I feel that this needs to be put out there and heard. If MCARBO would have followed through with what they told me this review would have never been posted. I recently ordered 7- CZ75 MCARBO Spring Kits for my TriStar Pistols. I ordered these because I was told if they did not fit I would be able to return them for a FULL REFUND (I have a chain of emails to prove it) That being said I kept one of the kits I had already installed (minus some parts of the kit that didn't fit) because I didn't want to go though the trouble of removing the MCARBO Spring kit I had installed which by the way made a very minimal almost unnoticeable difference vs. the 40-50% less trigger pull they claim. I returned the other 6 kits back to MCARBO for a FULL REFUND as I was told i would receive. I finally received a refund from MCARBO minus the return shipping cost which they failed to mention to me (not a big deal only $4.04) but worst of ALL they kept the Sales Tax which they say they do not refund ($17.44) which is Totally Illegal to do !!!!! I wonder how many MCARBO Customers have been ripped off their hard earned money by paying taxes on an item they returned ???? Is MCARBO paying the government this Sales Tax that they are NOT refunding their Customers ??? I highly doubt it !!!!! SOUNDS LIKE TAX FRAUD TO ME !!!!! I will be contacting the Feds to report them along with filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Stay away from MCARBO at ALL COSTS (Pun Intended) You have been warned !!!!!

Help! Roll pin problems with all cz pistols. Since you have four of these guns can you tell me how much you dry fire? Have you tried dry firing with a Lazer cartridge in the chamber? I really think this may be the answer for roll pin damage on cz pistols but after watching dozens of videos on the problem it remains. It appears that the roll pins are just a replacement item you have to do once a year or so. Cz won't back the warranty if you put in a harder pin so maybe that isn't such a good option. Any ideas?

Is the Phantom noticably better lacking the one cage spring? I ordered one of these for my PCR and was regretting that very step. The company owner has not yet released a decocker video but I was mainly wondering what to expect with installing 3 out of the 4 springs?? Thanks

the phantom is still pretty darn good however if you choose to do it once you get the hang of it this Seer cage isn't that bad at all you just need to take your time with it as matter fact I think Cajun Gun Works has a good solid video about how to do it

I am disappointed with this M-Carbo CZ 75 Sp-01 Manuel Safety Spring Kit. I bought it and had a gun smith install it for me. Fortunately, it did not cost very much. It did not work as demonstrated in this video. My DA went from about 12 lbs to 9 lbs. My SA went from 5 lbs stock to 4 lbs with the kit. I am very disappointed in the DA as this improvement is still to high for competition.

Well they're kit in my opinion is very good for defensive purposes I'm pretty sure they're not built for competition purposes. However you can always polish some internals which may help a little bit more.
