I want to see more of Dr Smith. He's one of the most interesting thinkers and communicators alive today.

Dr. Eric Smith is a genius. His towering intellect is humbling, as he is a humble man on top of his greatness. How so much knowledge can be packed into one mind is staggering. He's a polymath's polymath.

Dr. Eric Smith thank you. Your intelligences, eloquence and careful use of language seem congruent and superlative! Very inspirational and motivating! Please post more.

Eric is one of my favourite speakers on the origin of life. He has such a unique and interesting way of looking at what it is that life does and what life is and how life can only be understood in the light of the geosphere.

He was close but he missed the level of organization that geophysics completely supplies it is the level of amino acids! Amino acids are found in almost every space rock, chemical reaction, do all of life reactions, and another overlooked fact is that every biomolecule starts out as an amino acid that gets transformed by enzymes who themselves are amino acids!!! My theory Emergent Chemical Evolution explains how Life started this way see my channel!!!

How Life Started by Emergent Chemical Evolution don’t see much chemistry or science for that matter in your videos.
It’s a bit rich of you to criticise and dismiss Eric Smith when you haven’t read his publications.
Where can I find a bibliography of your publications in the peer review literature?

@@myopenmind527 I will publish my references on my blog and there I already have a chart showing the evidence for my theory's conjectures. I have 14 articles that prove my conjectures have been found in living systems. Where as all other theories have one or two experimental questionable support for theirs!
Talking about evidence I hope you are not taking Erick Smith's conjectures as Science just because he is a working Scientist. Besides the fact that he is a Physicist speaking on a Biological Problem. I
Please Don't get me Wrong I Love Dr. Erick Smith, Dr. Nick Lane, and Dr. Mathew Cobb they are brilliant Scientist but their talks have not changed since at least 2007 for Dr. Smith.

Después de ver este video he leido el libro "The origin and nature of life "de Harold Morowitz y Eric Smith.

Great intellectual attempt at Taoism - though thinking too much is apparently a defect as I discovered when I enquired about the cyclical universe with a Master.

The bigger question, Eric, is 'why' do scientists think like this -- ignoring the connections and larger ecosystem functions, and instead concentrate on smaller and smaller scales. The answer is how the systems of scientists create knowledge.
If you want to take a trip down the rabbit hole, here is the new field of Structural Memetics. How communities in both time and space create knowledge. Feel free to reach back if you find it interesting. empathy.guru/2019/04/06/what-is-structural-memetics-and-why-does-it-matter/

My background is theology and religious studies: Prof Smith humbles me.
