i mean, what can you do? there were artists that my parents deemed inappropriate when i was growing up. there’s always going to be artists like that because there’s always going to be a grown audience who enjoys that music. it’s not cardi or megan’s fault (not saying you said it was! 🥰) when a kid is introduced to their music. they never told kids to listen to their music, they never claimed to be role models for kids, and therefore were never labeled role models for kids, and their music isn’t even geared towards children. i suppose it’s just a misfortunate accident if children come across her music since they aren’t old enough for the mature content, but just because it’s mature content doesn’t mean we have to bash it. not everything in the world is going to be desensitized for children. that wouldn’t make sense. if everyone was a role model for kids the only music we’d have is from the dora the explorer and blues clues soundtrack.
@@marisonmars1233 I completely agree with your sentiment, but would you say at 16, 17, 18 year old, young women don't really have the maturity to really make their own judgements and are more easily influenced than women who are a little older and have the emotional maturity and intelligence to not be as heavily influenced? Sure, there are still some girls in those age groups who are emotionally intelligent, but in general terms, girls are being influenced by these artists, whether artists choose that or not. if you are famous and are so heavily involved on social media platforms, it will be inevitable that young females will be looking up to them. Not only that, but what image of women is that portraying to young, impressionable men? You can teach men that a woman deserves respect, and then you hear lyrics time and time again preaching the exact opposite? And on a side note, lets be honest, her lyrics and music is so simple, it appeals to younger audiences with a limited vocabulary. It's not exactly appealing to the late 20's scholar, is it? Her lyrics are one step up from singing about poo poo and wee wee.

You are correct you should teach your daughter to not be ashamed of her self and society shouldn’t. I think it is wrong for men and women to sing about the glorification of their pleasure.
