To this day, this is still one of my favorite OG IPAs off the shelf. Mind you, I've been diving into the haze craze, but there's nothing like a punch of west coast hoppiness

Yep! Deschutes fresh squeezed IPA is good. They just recently came out with a fresh haze IPA 6.5%. It’s alright. I like the two I’ve tried from them. I do drink them on a regular

First came so time only on tap, was so popular here in the West Coast, they put it on line in bottles, Had many many times, always my favorite from them, me and many others sent e mails and calls to release it in the market to purchase, love this brew, for me I get pineapple note more than grapefruit or orange, but, it is awesome stuff no matter what you detect, Cheers!!!
Don't let the cheesy label throw you off as this beer is first rate. Everyone is trying to capitalize on the fresh hop game, but this beer is the real deal and the name and label accurately describe it. Very fruit forward in smell and taste and well balanced with pine and malt. I purchased this fairly fresh with 3 months plus remaining on the "best by date" which is really important with ipa craft beers. If you like ipa's give this one a try.

I picked up a 6 pack of this and loved it. It was awesome.

I drank one that was 3 years past the date, I read it was clear, but mine was hazy, probably because of the age, and I can tell you, even though it was 3 years past date it was the best beer I've ever had

Just picked me up a six pack at almost $17 but after I tasted it I was not disappointed at all. The first thing I did after having one was look to see if you reviewed it. Great review and you are right on with this one gregg, great review once again.
My local grocery store has this on tap all month for $10 a growler. Im on my fourth already lol. Goes down too smooth and the taste is so fresh that the name is almost ironic. Great review by the way

Deschutes is one of the best and fresh squeezed ipa is great. Started as a seasonal beer but it was so well received and loved they made it a regular beer.
Greg, I like your reviews! You are like a granddad to me in kindred beerspeak. Very drinkable IPA, not much bittering, malt, nice tropical fruits. Part of Deschutes Bond Series 22oz seasonal beers, now released year round in six packs. (at least in CA) Reasonably sessionable at 6.4 abv. My brother and I are planning a trip to Bend, OR for my birthday. Can't wait to see what experimentals they have on tap. Can't go wrong with these guys, especially when a Porter is their flagship beer. PS -Love your beard and your awesome glass collection! PS -Salivating over your beer fridge -saw a few I've tried and also on my wish list. ;-) CHEERS!
Yes, a great IPA. Not too bitter and lots of citrus. Deschutes makes some fine beers.

Years later and it's still a great IPA. Hard to beat
Even in Portland, this is $12 for a 6 pack. Tried it for the first time tonight, best by date is 10 weeks out. It's pretty damn hoppy IMO. As Greg suggests, this probably loses some of it's hop profile as it ages. Depending on your sensibilities, this can be a good or bad thing. Great beer.

it's bettween this one and the rye of the tiger ipa just bought this today 10 bucks a 6 pack ya little expensive but worth it

I may have had a bad batch, but this beer was hands-down the worst, most sour, beer I had ever had. honestly, threw it away.
Tried this beer the other day and WOW!! this is great stuff! I loved it, so tropical and citrusy, with a nice bitterness on the back end. What a great beer!
Had this last year in the 22oz. Was an awesome beer! Great review!
to me this beer is all hops from what I can taste. Not a bad beer but I prefer a beer that leaves a little taste in your mouth after you drink it.
One of the best west coast IPAs being brewed right now for sure.
The first thing I smelled with this one was Mango. I really love this IPA. :)

I got some strawberry hints as well, but completely agree with the balance. These guys have extremely well balanced beers, you can tell they worked on it for a long time before going to market. I recently brewed a clone of this and while close ultimately wasn't the right balance.
Hey Greg! Deschutes is now my favorite brewery.. Still have love for sierra Nevada and smuttynose..they knock it out of the park with all their beers.. However, this isn't my favorite.. My favorite is the pinedrops.. My buddy and I did a comparison and I think the pinedrops was better.. Also the jubelale this year is very Delicious

funny thing.. first IPA.. I was "what the hell is this? It is bitter." IPA's are the fucking best beers. Fresh Squeezed hits a sweet spot of delicious and refreshing.
I love, love this beer, and I can get it for 15 in SF.

Nice review, Greg! This is one of the fruitier IPAs I've had. Quite different from the other "danker" style IPAs like Stone's Enjoy By.Not as bitter some IPAs either. Maybe close to a "chick" beer? I loved it!
