Thanks for the video Darrin. Always educational and informative even a Scooter trick thrown in on this video. Thanks to you and Andrea for all that you folks do!
new sub thank you so much for this video i have been given a VW sand rail which there are videos on my channel of and it looks as if the transmission seal is leaking bad so this video shows me how to break down the vw bus trans driver side seal
Great video. Do you have a rebuild video...start to finish?Mine is real stiff to shift. Not sure if its in the nose cone or where.... I put in a new shifter and all the pieces there. Just scratching my head.
Please, I watched because I need to diagnose a clicking noise and binding on the driver's side of my differential. Based on your teardown, I think that I'll open it up to take a look. Any suggestions?
Hey man thanks for the videos I have a new oem engine case a old shop teacher gave me . It was a demo motor for a tech school what is it worth ? That’s about all I know about it look new I’m sure it’s been taken apart more than a few times .
+tomoya97 Well you would need to change the diff and the case because the late model IRS cases are one-sided (meaning there's a diff cover on one side only and the other side is cast shut). All new trans cases are the late model "swingaxle" cases (can be used for IRS, but you would need a diff cover for the other side as well). the diff would have to come from a '67, 68, or a Mexibug. Hope that explains it.
