This video contains several pieces of gear that I now love after using them on the Camino de Santiago French Way. This backpacking gear and hiking gear is outstanding! - Розваги
Cheapo WallyWorld carbon fiber poles are $39 and 7.5oz/pair. Right up there with the 2 hundo boys.
They get the job done
Congrats on your hike! I started using an SMD umbrella on the Colorado Trail this year and it is now a permanent piece of equipment for backpacking. Not only is it great for the sun but those 10-20 minute rain showers you get during the summer. You can stay dry and not have to dig out your jacket.
Thank you very much, Greg :D
Welcome back! Been wondering how the Camino was going... Always nice to get your take on gear, you do such a nice job. I love my rain gear for hiking but do bring a smaller umbrella for sun, along with sun hoodie and sun gloves: I look like a rummage sale. Trekking poles are a necessity for me and now with my Tensa Trekking Tree pole, even more uses. Anyway, keep up the great work and I look forward to your next video😺
Thank you 😊 Camino was awesome
Welcome back, I've been waiting to hear how the trip was!!!
Yay! Thank you! Going to do videos from it
Thanks, my favorite gear: Kula cloth, zpacks bottle carrier, hyper lite shoulder pouch, zpacks waist pack. I changed from a traditional pack to a roll top and minus Kula cloth that is a must, the rest I felt I needed to be comfortable and access what I needed. It’s been over a year and many miles and those items are now just part of my system.
All great pieces of gear there, Kristy :D
really good points, i like how you can attache the umbrella onto the backpack
Thank you. Works great
Congratulations Jeremiah - welcome to the sane side of UL. The reason for lightening your pack is to enjoy the journey more, and the law of diminishing return’s definitely applies here. A few ounces to enjoy things more is always worth it!
Thank you for the warm welcome :D
You could send those spicy salt packets to me if you're not using them, I can't get enough of hot stuff! 😂 Thanks for the great video. Keep hiking on!
Lol I'm sure you like them a lot more than me
The Gossamer Gear Lightrek Umbrella. It’s definitely worth the purchase! Glad y’all had a great trip!✌️
It's an awesome purchase
Good video, glad you had a great trip. I use SMD packing pods (I love them), big fan of the SMD umbrella, Hyperlite has packing pods but they do cost a lot more. The SMD pods are a great deal.
Love it :D
Glad you guys had a great trip! One you’ll never forget, I’m sure.
I like camp shoes, but Crocs are a little heavy compared to other options. I like keeping gear organized in the different sizes of the light weight Osprey dry bags, clothes, dirty clothes, food, hygiene etc.
Also, curious if you prefer Compeed over Leukotape?
Never heard of leukotape. I'd love to hear opinions here. I smell a blister video?
They both are great in my opinion
Interesting gear choices... An organized bag does help with finding what you're looking for. I'll 2nd the trekking poles, I went on a 3 day, 2 night trip a couple weeks ago, and did not use my poles once because of holding my recording setup... I regret not using my trekking poles.
Love the trekking poles out there
Compeed blister stuff is amazing. Secondskin stuff also is but used for a different purpose. Saved me on a trip i completed 2 days ago. Wont hike without them ever again...even a day trip.
Electrolytes r also important. Element is way too salty for me, but i respect that they're yr sponsor. I've loved taking liquid iv. I also love a mosquito head net (can go over any head gear yr sporting and is super light). Mosquitos love me so id lose my mind otherwise. Grt video btw! First video of yrs ive seen- subscribed!
Welcome to the party :D
4:25 - Crocs and trekking poles is a spectacular look
Lol I try
One thing about trekking poles that I’m really particular about is having an anti shock shock absorber in my trekking poles. I thought it was kind of a gimmicky thing until I tried a pair of Leki poles that had it. OMG they were wonderful. I tried a pair of BD poles with it but they weren’t as good as the Leki.
Haven't tried any like that yet
I just got me some crocs too! So worth it! 🤙🏼
They are the best
My favorite piece of gear is also a trekking pole. I can only use one because the other hand has a dog leash but my legs don't always work right and I can't count how many times it's saved me from tripping and doing a face plant 😂
Works great
Cat Crap for glasses! Made as a defogger for dive masks, but awesome for sunglasses and regular specs. 🧐🙌🏻
I need to check it out
Jeremiah’s pack weight must be closing in on 60lbs at this point! Lol time to upgrade to an 85liter pack. JK…glad to see a new video from you.
Lol my pack is still pretty light
Is Compeed better than Leukotape???
I love them both
I respect Jeremiah immensely, all love brother. But I have to say those electrolyte sleeves are an absolute rip off and not needed. Buy yourself a bulk bag (1 lb+) of supplement grade potassium chloride (KCl), sodium chloride (Himalayan is mostly sodium), and MgCl2 (or MgCO3). Consider CaCO3 if you want calcium too. Mix that all up, you’ve got yourself the same exact electrolytes, without artificial flavor, and you save yourself about 90% of the cost.
No worries :D I pay for convenience sometimes
Nalgene canteen for a pee bottle.
Oh yeah!
