This video has taught me that some Pokémon are a lot smaller than I expected them, or even from what other Pokémon media has shown them to be. Nidoking, Nidoqueen, and Snorlax are the biggest surprises because I always pictured them as being bigger, Snorlax especially
Some of the Pokemon sizes still surprise me to this day! Like Rapidash. One time I was drawing one of my favorite characters from a game I like next to a Rapidash and I realized quickly how SMALL it is!!
Very interesting. Especially seeing Professor Oak going through all those Pokemon without any of them attacking him. You all know what I'm talking about.
I experimented putting the camera perpendicular to the lineup at Oak’s eye level but then a Pokémon was only on screen for less than a few seconds at this speed.
How tall is Oak? I know perspective issues can make things kinda deceiving, but he does look a lot taller than that venusaur. Also, I loved how you handled both the Gigantamax and the "snake-like" lengths! Very very cool! Thanks for all the work that went into this! @@Biochao
I extracted all these models and animations myself from the game files. I created some python scripts to help automate parts of the process but it still took over a month. I averaged about 10 models a day from game files to imported to Blender.
It’s WILD how so many Pokémon I wanted to ride as a kid could no longer safely serve as a mount now that I’m an adult. (Come on, tell me with a straight face that you didn’t want to fly on the back of a Flying-type Pokémon or even Rapidash like Ash did when you were a child.)
Just released the ordered by size version, check it out! ua-cam.com/video/QW2-5TxWFfg/v-deo.html

Tktittit
Would you like to see this video with the Pokemon ordered by size as well?
Yes!!
Sure but how tall is prof oak here. Wow lol
Oak is 1.79m (5'10") here. He just looks taller because the camera is at Red's eye level and he's only 1.44m (4'9").
I think this would honestly be the best way to order them
Rendering has begun on the size ordered version! It's even longer so it might be a while until it's finished.
I've never seen a more nostalgic video about Pokémon, with that music and all
Nice to know that i am about aerodactyl sized and dratini sized. Truly friendshaped guys.
This is great! Really enjoyed it. Awesome animation
This is absolutely stunning!!
Thank you so much!!

4:56 Banana for scale
I love the music
Damn, i can't believe Oak is 2.4 meters height
Good work! :)
Also, if you consider post-gen evolutions belonging with that gen, then megaevolutions and gigantamax do too, even more, and so do regional forms.
... so professor oak is at least 7 feet tall? (i know it's camera perspective, but still funny)
Well Done!

Never realised how TINY some of these guys are than I originally thought
nice 3D models
The pokemon beam effect looks really cool, would you mind sharing how you did it?
That was one scuffed ass alolan Muk
Cooo video! I can see it was a lot of effort.
How long did it took to download all those models?

My god, thank you for finally sizing them correctly! Everyone else has godzilla sized dragonair

@@WriterKing92 I'm sure Charizard or Pidgeot could handle you though, after all in the game you can fly on the tiniest of Flying-types.
This proves that professor oak is 7'6'' tall
God Pokemon cards

Wow, I can purchase pokemon characters from you for a movie I'm making?
What is the purpose of oak walking to compare when he is higher than 2 meters?
