My buddy just bought the same ski. It will yank you right off the ski if you don't hold on. It will get faster the closer you get to 10hrs. I ripped my rota-tor cuff on it jumping wake "surgery soon". It's a pretty bad ass machine.
Very nice. But be careful during the break in period... they recommend not using full throttle for more than a few seconds at a time. Break in is very important. But nice video!
Hi to all, Looking for some advice. Found 2017 gtr 230 in blue with 5 hours only. This is a 4 years old ski and wondering if anyone could give me some advice what to look for when inspecting the ski prior purchase. Many thanks
Hi Justin, just wondering if you have started to get bored with it yet. Im looking to buy one in Sweden soon. The lakes look exactly the same here to. When you see them for sale, like I have seen here 2017 models with 6 hrs 17 hrs 49 hrs ,you say to yourself have these people got bored with them already. Of course they will not admit that because they are selling. Hmmm. How many hours do you get at 35mph. There is not many gas station on the lakes in Sweden. Which is a pain. Thinking maybe take a small can of fuel, could go in the front locker. But perhaps thats dangerous. Appreciate your feedback.
Kevin Walker the machine is very fun and have not gotten bored on it. I have about 60 hours on it. The biggest reason I think people sell them back if for the new model with the modular seating on it and the gas consumption. If you aren't full throttle the whole time you can make a take of fuel last 8 hours. At 35mph it is about 4 gallons per hour. Hope this helps
Kevin ... for what it’s worth ... I’m 57, I’ve ridden powerful motorcycles all my life. I didn’t even like jet skis ... I disliked the noise and also the type of idiot that rides them ! (Ripping up quiet anchorages and irritating yachtsmen) ... I planned to buy a 150HP Rib, to tow my teenage boys on tubes and wakeboards. But, after tests and deliberation, we went for a ski instead for ease of towing/ storage.... However! It’s compelling! I absolutely love it! (Unexpectedly !) If you think you might tire of it, I’d say don’t worry! Just go ahead ! We have enjoyed heaps of fun and I’m finding its one of the best purchases we have ever made! (I live in Portugal near flat water ) Other Jet ski users have proved to contradict my prejudices too ! Lovely people !
First video for the channel. Plan on a couple videos a week with various outdoor activities and reviews of things. Let me know what you think and would like to see.
Thanks! it came with a one year warranty but they had a promotion to extend it to 3 years. only thing I can recommend is take it easy the first 10 hours don't go to crazy because it is tuned to not give full power for the first 10 hours until you get the first oil change done. They are great machines though.
I would either look in the dead of winter at what is leftover from the spring or right when summer is starting. Also yes they make slower models, but different accessory's and colors are on those as well.
Just got my gtr230..sad part was two and a half hours into my break in period something went wrong with my third piston :/ so now it's in getting a new engine...but the dealership felt bad so they gave me there demo rxt-x 300 and my god it's a huge difference in power lol and eat through gas like it's nothing haha
THANK YOU FINALLY SOMEONE DOES A PERSONAL REVIEW OF THIS THING 🙌🏻 mine is shipping out tomorrow
You won't be disappointed at all! The thing is a monster. only downside is when you go sport mode and watch your fuel disappear!
about to purchase a 2018 gtr 230, how many hours would you say you get out of a full tank?
@@Bawp_it how long does a tank last on average?

How much does it smoke in a given mode?
How many hours are you getting on the water per fuel tank full?
Thanks great video
All depends on how you drive it. If you sit full throttle all the time less than an hour. Consumes about 5 gph at 35mph.

Is there a faster or slower one? I am planning to get one for next summer. When you recommend is the best time to buy one?
