  • How to rent a flat in London? How to rent an apartment? Here are my tips to rent in London. It is one of the best cities in the world, but there are a few things I wish I knew before I moved to a flat in central London. Renting is different in every city. Do you know which area, how much, what’s is the cost of renting in London? Is London expensive. Do I use spare room or Rightmove London what about Zoopla ? how much rent London ? Right move London is great for general flat hunting.

    Hi folks!
    What do you think of good areas to live for a remote worker in London in Zone 3, 4? I'd prefer having nice nature, good internet optic-fiber internet, close to the station, not criminal and safe place? Any thoughts?

    • @Jubair194
      @Jubair194  Рік тому

      I would say maybe try Greenwich? Lots of places for under 2K, nice greenery nearby and still pretty close to the centre. 2k would probably get a 2 bedroom really in zone 3 and maybe 3 bed in zone 4.

    what should put in my UCAS term residency section if I don't have a living place secured? Is it expected that we go through with accommodations before knowing whether or not the university has accepted us? UCAS Applications are due November 2022 but my term would not start until September 2023 *I am an international applicant! Thanks for the helpful content!

    About to move over from Miami to London soon, I’m from Scotland. Do you think the market has changed since you made this video? The reason I ask is because it is approaching the start of university semester, do you think that’ll make it more competitive? I’m a 28 yo M in biotech, I’ll be working in white city. What do you think my chances of finding a nice place in zone 1/2 with a max 45min commute to work? Ideally I’d be looking for a studio/1bed. Thanks again for the great and informative vid!

    • @Jubair194
      @Jubair194  2 роки тому +1

      Congratulations on your move to London. The market has definitely gotten way more expensive. Unfortunately September is probably the worst month for renting (for tenants) because of the influx of students into new homes, so the prices are always the highest. White city is on the central line, which is very well connected. You should look anywhere in zone 2 (west London) as it shouldn't be more than 30 minsa way by tube. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

      I used to live 10 mins walk from there because my ex went to City university too. The immediate area is very expensive as it is in central London, however, you could try places such as Limehouse, Hackney and near Finsbury Park.

    If its more expensive when moving for September because of students, does it usually die down and get cheaper in Oct/Nov? Thanks for the video

    • @Jubair194
      @Jubair194  2 роки тому +1

      From my experience yes, November is the best month because not only are the students gone, it's cold, so landlords are trying to get a contract secured through this period when everything looks bleak.

    What is the cost next to the rent written e.g 233pw for?

    • @Jubair194
      @Jubair194  2 роки тому +2

      The pw cost is the cost broken down to reflect the "per week cost". This is basically just the pcm (per calendar month) value divided by the number of weeks in a calendar month. Hope that helps!

    if you don't mind - what's the deal with east London? disadvantages for you

    • @Jubair194
      @Jubair194  2 роки тому +2

      So I think overall, the east is disadvantaged by the disproportionate lack of government funding in key areas such as education and wellbeing. Therefore, the overall population, as compared to other areas such as North or West, will not benefit from these facilities and thus will live a lower quality of life. Ofcourse there are many exceptions but, I believe this to be one of the main disadvantages.

    • @Jubair194
      @Jubair194  2 роки тому

      @@adefisolaolasebikan3637 Bexley is actually pretty far away from the centre of London and is in Zone 5. It can be a safe place to live. But like all areas, there can be hotspots of less safe zones. It is considered a town and not always considered to be in a part of London.

    Hey can you suggest some places in between Queen Mary Mile End and Brunel University as I’m moving with my friend so we wanted to find apartments in between these universities so can you please suggest some areas in between them.

    • @Jubair194
      @Jubair194  2 роки тому +1

      As Queen Mary and Brunel university are nearly on opposite side of London, you will find the journey times very long if you decided to live Inbetween the two. It might be okay at first, but those hours really do add up. But if you must, maybe Wembley ans Finchley would be an okay choice in terms of budget as they are on the Metropolitan Line, which basically connects the two universities (change at Liverpool st to get to Mile End). Hope this helps.

    How is isleworth to live ? What would be the expenditure on a average

    • @Jubair194
      @Jubair194  2 роки тому +3

      Whilst Isleworth and the surrounding area can be a good place to live, relatively quiet and relatively safe. The rent is not a whole lot cheaper than central London, about £100-200 cheaper for 1 bed, but will get a lot more space. Expensive due to the transport links to the centre of London. Looking for around £1200 for a decent 1 bed, £1500 for 2 bed. Hope that helps.
