Holy crap, all this time, even the way the game LOOKED was part of the experience. It was the robot's perception that made everything look the way it did. This was amazing!
I'd really love it if this game played on a loop, with each week the graphics getting better and better, but you having more and more control over what happens, eventually leaving you a choice of if you want to kill your "family" or just play the daughter.

That Liana's Father refused to show his face to her set my spidey-senses tingling, at first, but the dialogue with her Mother had weirded me out even more so.
This game is so good as a psychological horror, really makes me think a lot about humanity and what makes the identity of a person. I just wanted to notice, even if mother appears as scary here, I don't think any of them is to blame, any of them isn't really evil. It looks like we arrive there as a robot, but continue to desintegrate since we look at the statue and find out the person we are programmed to be is dead. This is when the conflict starts, so it might be all just disfunctioning robot with conflicting infromations about his identity, or actual spirit or some part of real Liana memory. We get those confusing lines right after we touch the grave and find out (,,Mom, is that you?" - even if she met with her a few days ago already ,,Why can't she hear me?" ,,Is dad here too?"- even if we know she saw him before, so she should know he is). It actually could be real Liana trapped in this robot. It's like she has awaken inside of it when we found out about the grave, and her memories or spirit or whatever it was, is conflicting with the robotic part of her. She tries to fight it (when they make her eat but she doesn't want to but eats anyway because robot is in control, or when she want to leave the barn because she want to see mom, even if the robot had a command not to do it), can't reach out to her family, being trapped in the robot body. Confusing part is why they let her see the graveyard, if it always causes the conflict of personality? And why can't she be allowed to see just the father, is it also causing the conflict in some way? Mother says from the very beginning things are not going well with Liana, that this is not Liana, this is something else entirely, but I think the reason she thinks that is because the robot is not acting as her daughter, even if it's really trying. But it's choises and decisions are programmed, it's never gonna have the same connection with the mother. It was shown in the ,,black mirror" episode you mentioned, how frustrating and creepy it can be. She could just sense something is different, something is wrong, even if the AI was trying their best. You can't just replace some things which make a person someone familiar and precious to you. I'm not even sure if the robot in the game actually looked like Liana, because all of the mirrors were covered, so maybe looking in them would cause the conflict too, because she was told she is Liana, but wouldn't look like her in the mirror. After being told she is not her and her mother is not her mother she lost her identity completly. The most tragic thing about it is the fact that she had to obey till the end, couldn't call out for her mother and that her last thought was actually ,,you feel YOU", as if she found who she really was at the end. Mother is also not to blame for any of this tragedy, she just desperatelly wanted her daughter back, even if she knew this is all wrong, she felt bad for every prototype before too, had to kill the resemblance of her daughter over and over again and it was really affecting her, but really wanted her daughter back, so was doing this anyway. The brother cut himself off this whole thing, knowing this is morally inappropriate. If we were to blame anyone here, I think it would be the father, for creating the robots and putting both mother and ,,daughter" into the same nightmare over and over again. Hope you continue this game so we get the clearer picture of what is happening, hope you enjoyed my mindfuck.

For a while there, the game had me thinking you were some sort of plant-based construct with your mother's sense of peace and connection to the orchard, the dirt they fed you and the fact that you felt so rested sleeping on the naked ground. I know the whole core analogy with the apples was meant to be metaphorically but with the other clues, I thought it might be more literal.
By the end of this video I found myself checking to see if more was left. This was incredible! Don't ever apologize for the longer videos, they're how I found your channel and I love getting the full experience! This is an absolutely beatiful game. Using the jankiness of the Mother and the enviroment in such a cleaver way at the end, when Mother says "I can only assume that the way i appear to you is just as unnatural as the way you appear to me" The idea of using the begining of the game as the start of another loop and the ending of the game as the end of another loop is a brilliant way to tell this kind of story. And the sheer balls of the developers to spell it out to you at the end is such a way that you still have thousands of questions days later, with the fathers face being hidden and the the fact that this "new you" seems to have the memories of a past version of "you". I'm genuinely blown away by this game, and your commentary and gameplay (and child like screams lol) only enhanced this experiance for me. Although, now im kinda bummed out i didn't play this game for myself.
In case you didn't know because you seem to really enjoy this game, there's actually more to it (at the end) and its one of my favorite parts. If you want to see it, I know that a youtuber named "Insym" played it. Really great stuff.
Dude. I almost choked on my food when you found mom in bedroom in the dark that first night. I never felt my soul leave my body so fast. After dad's phone call that jumpscare made me put my food down till the video was over. I ain't dieing with full pants man. F that. You right, that game had a twist I'll be thinking about for a while, damn.
Disappointed? How can we be disappointed? It's a video of yours coming riiiiight before I need to sleep. It's exactly what was needed actually. Time to settle in and enjoy.
Going through some shit and I discovered your channel not too long ago. Thank you for the laughs, whether it’s your old content or your new content. Thank you.
Igp I've had a streak of bad days lately but thank you for being with me while they happen... Also thank you for keeping my mental health intact :] Have a good day man!
I liked that nothing was explained and you got to experience the game as Liana would see it. Experiencing her confusion about why things were happening the way they were.
God damn it here we go again. It's always a vibe watching you play horror games though because you're as scared as I am so there no "well I feel safe" so it really hits the same way as if I play the game myself.
I would love you to continue this game because we still have to figure out what’s behind the locked door downstairs in the hallway. We’ve discovered what the Graveyard’s secret and the Barn’s secret, but nothing behind the locked door. Cause I’m pretty sure something is probably far worst than what we discovered with you. Whatever they’re hiding behind the door, is gonna change families situation. In the beginning of the game, it says the game contains Abuse, Sickness, and Death. Sickness and Death goes along with the game, but the Abuse whats confuses me. I know abusing a machine that is micking a dead child, and treating IT like something that no longer matter because It is not Liana. What if the Abuse doesn’t have to do with Liana Machine, but the real Liana. How was her like really like? How did she pass away? I don’t want to think too much about it, but IGP hasn’t finished the game yet. I think he should continue, and maybe try to see if that locked door from downstairs can open, and find out it’s secrets since we already found a lot of secrets in this game. I don’t know but this game scares the living crap out of me because the mother blending in the dark in very dark corners, but the story intrigued me a lot, and I kinda want to know what the actual ending is. I don’t know if there is an ending, but I want to find out from IGP. Please continue this game, if possible.
If "my" parents just accepted "I'm" dead, and my new "me" will never be their dead daughter, it would be so much easier for everybody. I know grief and accepting the truth are a difficult things to face, but hey...It would hurt less.
Just imagine having a robot crudely designed to look like a loved one that you lost walking around your house pretending to be them. They poke their head around your door staring at you with empty, glassy eyes
It's not exactly flattering to know that your parents thought they could just replace you with a robot designed to look, talk, and behave like you. Get a dog or something to help you grieve and have something to focus energy on ffs.
I had figured out very early on watching this that you were at least robotic in nature (came to me when "nutrients" were mentioned) but this was absolutely sick! Really got me feeling anxious and it had that uncanny-valley vibe to things. Cheers @IGP - Great game who's style, Soma aside, hasn't been done very much (or at least effectively). Thanks again man :)
I HAVE to be honest. IGP is my favorite horror channel by faaaaaar, all the game he plays are just always new and different and it's just 👌🏻 his comments make everything better
This took a HUGE turn! I saw the thumbnail and thought, ouh it’s just another “there’s something wrong with the family member I’m staying with “ game but I really love the actual story! It’s super unique! They’re as afraid of you as you are of them :o
Seems like anti-trope would be an apt description. It's painted as that generic trope right from the start, but the deeper you go, the more it subverts away from it. It plays on what you expect in order to completely mislead you. That's rarely done well, usually it's hamfisted to death, but when it is done well it's so awesome.
I'm betting Coraline was a major influence for this game. It has that identical "things seem strange as hell but generally fine.. but you know deep down it's fucking not" vibe.
I remember when you played Soma. I bought it and played it myself because I loved your gameplay so much. Thanks IGP for helping players like me find games they love from the most unlikeliest of places.
Honestly one of the coolest horror stories I think I've EVER witnessed. This one takes it to a whole new level- it's terrifying, engaging, and cerebral; and there isn't a single 'real' jumpscare or chase scene or anything in it. This kind of "uncanny horror" is the best kind in my opinion. Oh and amazing video(s), easily one of the most entertaining on the internet. Even though I'm not playing the game, watching it with IGP makes it feel like I'm in it too. It's great bc I SUCK at horror. It's like good spicy food; it hurts so bad but you just can't stop going back to it!
This vid was like a punch to the throat Soo good but pulls up Soo many questions about sense of reality to moral values. My heart was shaken deep down thanks for sharing this piece of art!
when im bored and i need something to entertain my joy meter,i come to your videos and it fills it immediatly! thank you for the epic content you make, keep it up man!
IGP, you're the first one i've seen talk to mom from behind on monday evening. Also, I like how you're so used to the outlandish magic of demons and that stuff that you just assume it's something like the devil or soul magic. :)
Hearing you're startled scream / gasp earned you a subscriber I've never laughed so damn hard in my life!!! I know exactly how it feels to just scare the bejesus out of yourself.
Oh my gosh PLEASE play more of this game. I am so into the story and it's clear there is definitely more to it. I am dying to see the "broken bathroom"...
You gotta finish the play through and upload it! I love all horror games and can’t afford a nice pc (where most horror games are now) so I rely on your channel to get my fix me being a lowly console pleb. I really want to know what happens next in the story and your content is a lot better than others out there where they talk over it or don’t pay attention or crack jokes.
I recommend you explore the endings to this game because when you do things differently it opens more various endings and more of the story to be seen.
Dude, you had me at "SOMA" - I wasn't sure at first about this one, because there are quite a few bad games out there about family trauma that also have old-school graphics, and I was like "crap, is it another one of those?" But with the props you gave it in the intro, I stuck around, and damn, this is good! I was surprised by the direction it went, it has almost like a classic Twilight Zone vibe going on or something. Really well done.
@30:00 area when you started having the repeated forward skips with mother, it reminded me so much of my black out episodes when i was younger. Less dark than this, but it was … talking to someone, and then the next moment they are gone and like somewhere far or in the house or something.. i stopped having blackouts! And my memories have come through, but they come through dreams so sometimes I’ll wake up and realize I’m 28 and not 8 or 9 and freak out for a second cuz it couldve been that my life just flashed before me and I’m just now waking up again from a blackout.. and because my memories come through dreams mainly, I’ll wake up and still think I’m in a dream. It’s such a foggy and weird to grasp feelings. Like everything is so narrow sometimes. I smoke weed now and i still remember my first time smoking, it felt like peripherals widened immediately and i could see the space between me and the person in front of me. Like they were absolutely there. Idk. It’s hard to explain. I’ve had to for therapist but talking about and typing it out is different lol
Also no, none of the other stuff happened to me either lol no message popping up jn my head that is telling me i am not me. Now, i do hear two voices in my head. Neither of them are telling me to go kill, though sometimes we do have conversations about the whats ifs and hows. It’s mainly me, and a voice i created to mimick my best friend who passed away. None of which tell me dark things. It’s just typical normal things like, “if a fish breathes through it’s gills via water, would it be able to survive if it lived in clouds?” Or like, “why did they make manual and automatic transmission vehicles? Why not stick to the more fun one and keep it there ?” Lol
This was very eerie and fascinating. Please finish the game, I really want to see what happens next. Love your videos IGP, hope to see you upload part 2 soon :D
Thank god this isnt the real end. I cant wait to see more of this. This game does story telling so well considering it makes you care about the player character despite knowing nothing about her.
This game was so incredibly spooky and interesting! If there's more to it I would love to see you play more of it. Your let's plays are always the best
So, that isn't just a loop, and is not the actual ending, there is a fair bit left to the game, you do find out a bit more behind it all. Additionally, the devs other games, all of them tie in together, there is a huge overarching story, at least as far as I've been able to see. I highly recommend playing through the rest of this, it's a hell of a ride.

That was amazing. I can’t imagine a game doing this exact gimmick better than the one I just saw. I want to see the conclusion so bad. Please make another video showing it I’m begging you.

I've watched the whole thing in ABG's channel but finally understand what's going on here. Thanks IGP for always doing the commentary. Please continue playing, we want you to see what's behind the locked door :D
So I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but I’ve been watching your channel for ever now or at least as far back as I can remember but The Long Dark was by far one of my favorite play throughs you ever did and they have added so much to it since then.
And this is kind of content I subscribed for this channel, not the Icy, bithcy, crying and screaming stuff. Really intense and deep. Watched it with tension until the very end. Please more!
You know what. At first I only subscribed for the subnautica content but you just happened to evolve into an amazing horror game video creator, so I just wanted to say I love your new content!

@@assassin01620 I'll look into it, i do like this game. The story is good
Time to settle in and enjoy.
coming off of work to see that igp posted is always the best thing
Facts
Factual. Making for a great night
Going through some shit and I discovered your channel not too long ago. Thank you for the laughs, whether it’s your old content or your new content. Thank you.
:)
I'm so glad you posted today cause I've been so stressed this week and it's been your videos that have kept me from getting a mental breakdown :)
isn't this gonna give you a mental breakdown
@@EnergyJoules oh shit
@@IGP hey, thanks for playing this man
I really enjoyed this!
Igp I've had a streak of bad days lately but thank you for being with me while they happen... Also thank you for keeping my mental health intact :]
Have a good day man!
Keep your head up :)
I liked that nothing was explained and you got to experience the game as Liana would see it. Experiencing her confusion about why things were happening the way they were.
The game is moderately scary but IGP's screams are very unexpectedly jump scaring
This game was unsettling, intriguing, and original. Loved it and I also loved the theories you mentioned as you played
God damn it here we go again. It's always a vibe watching you play horror games though because you're as scared as I am so there no "well I feel safe" so it really hits the same way as if I play the game myself.
Should've posted this one on Mother's Day 😂
I would love you to continue this game because we still have to figure out what’s behind the locked door downstairs in the hallway.
I get home from drenching calves to this. Perfect timing! Now I can relax. . . and be terrified and tense at the same time!
There was this little thing you said about "programming" that I just couldn't get outta my head. Would love to see a part two.
Will we be seeing more of this game if 8t continues? It'd be awesome to see more hidden details or just if things change as you play
Yess another long video loving it.
Gotta love igp playing scary games that I could never play myself because as an adult I can’t do scary games
The Isle for me!
I love you’re videos it has helped me increasingly in the past few years thank you 🖤
This vid was like a punch to the throat Soo good but pulls up Soo many questions about sense of reality to moral values. My heart was shaken deep down thanks for sharing this piece of art!
when im bored and i need something to entertain my joy meter,i come to your videos and it fills it immediatly! thank you for the epic content you make, keep it up man!
We need a part 2! This was awesome, love your content
Thats no way to speak about IGP's mom ..im telling!
The way they sound when they talk reminded me at first of Kingsley's adventure which scared me when I was a kid xD love your videos!
considering how many horror games this guy has played, he probably has to sleep with the light on
IGP, you're the first one i've seen talk to mom from behind on monday evening.
Also, I like how you're so used to the outlandish magic of demons and that stuff that you just assume it's something like the devil or soul magic. :)
You and icy are such amazing youtubers, you guys should never stop being amazing people and content creators, much love ❤️
Hearing you're startled scream / gasp earned you a subscriber I've never laughed so damn hard in my life!!! I know exactly how it feels to just scare the bejesus out of yourself.
Being early to an IGP video is an achievement for me. Thanks for the quality content man. Also, this is the creepiest game you’ve played yet.
Oh my gosh PLEASE play more of this game. I am so into the story and it's clear there is definitely more to it. I am dying to see the "broken bathroom"...
The lore is that Liana consciousness and some of her memories were downloaded into a computer program
I love the longer videos ♥
This was truly different. loved how deeply u connected with the character and the story..
49:03 it's fine, the longer videos are even more fun than the shorter ones haha
That was definitely scary af. Thx for playing IGP. You're my favorite channel rn, thx also to Icy and Drae
Honestly feel like IGP enhanced the experience. This game was a ride for sure and the story telling made me want to know as much as I could.
Man @igp I first started watching your Minecraft vids and when I got cheated on, your "beware" videos kept me going, I look forward to every video.
Just got back from a killer date, seeing my boy Indie posted? Cmon, it doesn’t get better than that
Hey IGP!!
I've been watching you now for a couple years,I love the format you use, calmness and craziness alltogheter,it's been a wild ride
you kept me entertained throughout horrible times and I appreciate it,I loved the chtulu videos, you're a great channel, all is deserved, love ya man!

I would love to see more of this game explored, and don't worry about a longer video! If it's good content (like this), I would be happy to sit down and watch it all the way through. Good job on the video and I hope to see more!
IGP do more poppy playtime when it comes out
Please. I’m begging you to PLEASE keep playing this game. I have never been so intrigued and interested in a game as mush as this one. This game is FREAKING AMAZING! Pleaaaaase continue! 🙏
that intro is just confirmation that this is gonna be a real good one
[EDIT] ok holy crap is there more??
Man, I love it when IGP plays psychological games like this one. His intuition on how lots of these games play out is impressive. Kinda chuckled on the "I know how to exist in this world" part in the beginning though, because, turns out, the character doesn't. It was a nice touch!
I'm getting this " I feel fantastic" vibes from that mother.
Oh God oh fuck
@@IGP right? Jesus that mother brought back some fucked up memory.
Every time you gasp, it's at such a high pitch lol I love your channel you are hilarious!
Every time you upload IGP I click on the video SO FAST. EVERY TIME.
That was amazing. I can’t imagine a game doing this exact gimmick better than the one I just saw. I want to see the conclusion so bad. Please make another video showing it I’m begging you.
I put this video on to fall asleep to, hearing bits and pieces of it made me watch the video when I woke up right before the end. Such a good video and such a good game!
I actully love the longer videos, more scares, more manly screahing, more story and thought of these games. Love yur vids
The "you cannot sleep while someones is in your room" message creeps me the hell out
That's like my number 1 fear
Him being scared going down the stairs thinking he was in trouble was funny
Mother sounds like a Star Wars droid
Ok this is freaking creepy as hell and I *need* to any and all successive loops! Please keep playing!
Jeez, this is probably the most scared I've seen you! Please make a part two to this! There's more to it!
I was thinking about that Black Mirror episode. When you mentioned it, IGP, I nodded so hard my glasses fell off! lol
And this is kind of content I subscribed for this channel, not the Icy, bithcy, crying and screaming stuff. Really intense and deep. Watched it with tension until the very end. Please more!
Oh my god the ending of this video left me speechless, please IGP keep playing it! You gotta see the whole story!
Always love the longer videos.
Was hoping you'd drop one soon.
You didn't disappoint!
You know what. At first I only subscribed for the subnautica content but you just happened to evolve into an amazing horror game video creator, so I just wanted to say I love your new content!
I love this kind of Serial Experiments Lain-esque sci-fi perception horror so much. What a cool aesthetic.
Watching long videos is daunting? Bruh, upload your full length unedited version. I love them.
39:55 BRO THIS IS WHAT I WAS SAYING I thought of the black mirror episode aswell and I also said this reminds me of the movie “the visit” and u said the exact same thing
IGP I hope you know i dont focus on the story, but only play your videos to fall asleep to them. Your screaming is like, in a good way, comforting? Dont know how to explain it but I know damn well ill be having some weird dreams while falling asleep to this crap
So glad I found your channel. I just got sick and this really helps
I don't understand why you apologize for the longer video, it's so much better, also this game is unreal, such a good premise, It changed from what I thought it was a few times, brilliant,
thanks indie 👍
