Great picks! I love Dune Imperium, and Spirit Island, but I need to try Star Wars Rebellion, and Nemesis sometime. Feed the Kraken looks great but its enjoyment seems so group dependent. Btw, you guys are fantastic content creators! Cheers and best of luck in 2023. 👍
The enjoyment of Feed the Kraken is group dependent, but not by a large margin, meaning that the overwhelming majority loves it (even players who didn't expect to like it, or dislike social deduction in general). We see that at conventions all the time, but you can also see that by looking at the bgg ratings distribution. I was about to get everdell yesterday but I sadly realized I'd have no one to play it with since it's a bit more complex for my family so I went with a more relaxed game called Lands of Galzyr. But I'll definitely get it in the future

I haven’t played Dune Imperium, but now I want to. My top ten: 1) Scythe (especially the legacy expansion) 2) Twilight Imperium IV 3) Nemesis 4) Frosthaven 5) Agricola 6) Terraforming Mars 7) Root 8) Imperial Assault 9) Eldritch Horror 10) Fury of Dracula I left so many good games off of my list.
"I left so many good games off of my list" we feel you. It's really hard to narrow it down to just 10. Based on your top 10 you'll really have a blast with Dune Imperium. Fits right in there.
Both good lists :) Interesting for us base Nemesis won the contest, lockdown somehow felt less interesting for us. #1: ISS Vanguard #2: Root #3: Moonrakers #4: Cloudspire #5: Brew #6: Fantasy Realms #7: Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space #8: Too Many Bones #9: The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game #10: Hive Pocket
1. Undaunted: Stalingrad 2. Twilight Imperium 3. Dune: Imperium 4. Undaunted Normandy/North Africa 5. Mistborn: House War 6. Teraforming Mars: Ares Expedition 7. Lost Ruins of Arnak 8. Star Wars Rebellion 9. Salem 1692 10. Betrayal Legacy Janis, I think if you like thematic wargames you would absolutely die for Undaunted: Stalingrad. The other Undaunted games are amazing but Stalingrad is incredible because it is a legacy game and as you are going through you really grow attached to your soldiers and it just hurts so much when they die. The last couple scenarios we played were absolute bloodbaths and the entire time I was in fear as it came down to the wire and I lost a lot of my veteran soldiers but was still able to barely win the scenario limping across the finish line with some reservist soldiers. Lots of twists and turns from the Legacy game component and what is nice is that it is 100% resettable, as when tiles get blown up or soldiers die you don't tear up the card, but instead replace the card with a reservist or they get a promotion that is an extra box on a new card rather than putting a sticker on the original one. Most emotional board game experience I have ever had.
It is on my wishlist for a while as my son and I played the Normandy one. But after your pitch it has moved up to the 1st spot. Also, let me ask you about the Mistborn board game, is it worth trying to get my hands on? I have read the books and loved them. /JG
@@BoardGameHangover The Mistborn one is really really good. It used to be my favorite game of all time until Dune Imperium and Undaunted came out. The idea is that you are the great houses of the Final Empire. There are a lot of problems on the table and you can only solve 1/2 to 2/3 of them, the rest result in horrible things that affect people in various ways. You have to work together to solve the problems, but only one of you can win, so there is a lot of politics and negotiation as well as backstabbing. Perfect blend of coop and competition and the points are all hidden so you don't actually know who is ahead. Tons of fun with limited resources and picking between two or more bad things that could happen.
Interesting/refreshing to see a top 10 without Gloomhaven/Frosthaven, any Zombicide/Cthulhu DmD, or any any Marvel related game. Lovely B roll by the way. Really enjoyable vid.
Top-10 from Syberia: 1)Tainted Grail 2)Black rose wars 3)SW: rebelion 4)Unfathomable 5)Secret Hitler 6)Beast 7)City of the Great Machine 8)Eld.Horror/Ark.Horror 9)This war of mine 10)Carnegie
My most favourite board games are 1.Chess 2.Scrabble 3.Terra forming mars 4.Lakshadweep 5.Splendor 6.Azul 7.Backlash 9.Anti monopoly 10.Scotland yard 11.Ticket to ride 12.Panchayat
Great lists! Looking at your top 10s, we play Dune Imperium a lot - definitely in my top 20. Eclipse and Terraforming Mars would also be in my top 20, though they don't get played as often. Most of the others I've yet to play but I think that I would at least like all of them. I got LotR TCG for Christmas but haven't broken it out yet - I'm really excited to play it! Here's my top 10... Gloomhaven Sleeping Gods Arkham Horror TCG Agricola Search for Planet X This War of Mine Viticulture EE (with Tuscany) Spirit Island Mage Knight Titan
I love to play Hadrians Wall (solo) and Dune Imperium (solo and multiplayer). Recently I started to play Skytear: Horde (solo) and it's fighting for the top places in my list :) It has a great art, it's easy to set up and it's challenging and very exciting. At the moment I am exploring different pre-built alliance decks vs different Horde decks and different Outsiders (bosses), but there is a list of challenges and ways to explore deck building... Also - it has co-op and PvP modes as well. Can't wait to play it more :)
First time I watched one of your videos, but good picks at all I have to say! I just bought Nemesis, already painted it but never played it yet (maybe we will change this tonight). And so great to see RuneWars in a top10 list as we played it for years, and I still love it! I guess Feed the Kraken has also the potential to enter my list in the future. Also I need to play Barrage and I am sure I will like it. My top 10 of all times actually are: 1. BloodRage 2. Terraforming Mars 3. Ark Nova 4. Dune: Imperium 5. RuneWars 6. Wingspan 7. Twighlight Inscription 8. Agricola 9. Dungeon Fighter 10. Ankh - Gods of Egypt
My top 9: 1. Gloomhaven 2. Bloodborne Board Game 3. Tanares Adventure 4. Massive Darkness 2 5. Middara 6. Nemesis Lockdown 7. Dark Souls Board Game 8. Sword and Sorcery 9. Lands of Galzyr
Great lists! Definitely some surprises (both inclusions and omissions), but that's what makes rhe hobby great, such a wide variety of tastes and games. Here's my list: 1. Viticulture (with Tuscany) 2. Terraforming Mars 3. Scythe 4. Concordia 5. Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion 6. Everdell 7. Castles of Burgundy 8. Lost Ruins of Arnak 9. Nemesis 10. Parks (with Nightfall)
Ouh, haven't played some of the games on your lists. Really need to get my hands on Nemesis: Lockdown. Also, I love the idea behind King's Dilemma, but don't have a group for it. Would love to play that one as well. As for my 10 current favourites: 10. Captain Sonar 9. Arkham Horror: The Card Game 8. Coup 7. Terraforming Mars 6. Small World: Underground 5. Sheriff of Nottingham 4. Inis 3. Root 2. Spirit Island 1. Kemet It is probably not that hard to guess what genre I enjoy the most ^^
I haven't actually played a lot of these but most were on my wishlist. Specifically Eldervale, Wonderland's War and Spirit Island. My current top 10 has to be: 1. Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization 2. Everdell 3. Brass: Birmingham 4. Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game 5. Ticket to Ride: Europe (15th Anniversary Edition) 6. Eldritch Horror 7. 7 Wonders 8. Disney Villainous 9. Wingspan 10. Azul I still have 8 board games which I havent even played yet which will probably shake up my top 10. I still have to play Twilight Struggle, Ark Nova, Castles of Burgundy, Terraforming Mars, Eclipse 2nd Dawn of the Galaxy, Lord of the Rings: Journeys of Middle-Earth, Gloomhaven and Terra Mystica.
I need to try a few of these. Mine would be Eldritch Horror Burncycle Sheol SW Imperial Assault The Night Cage Nemesis Brass The Loop Mansions of Madness Bloodborne
When you review a single game, at the end you rate whether it is a Good Game or a Must-Have. Would this list be your Must-have list? Or do you have another video for those?
We have a list where we rank must-have games from 2022. However, we should make a list ranking all the must-have games we have reviewed. Many from our all-time top we have not reviewed.
Nemesis and Spirit Island are in my Top 5, and not sure if it will ever change. Heck Im building my e-raptor insert for Nemesis now, for a game night next week. 😁 Ps. its sad that SI is getting lower this year, though it might go up again with the new expansion haha.
In this video, I think Janis T picks my brain - He lists pretty much every one of my recent favorites: Dwellings of Eldervale, King's Dilemma, Dune Imperium, Spirit Island, Nemesis, Terraforming Mars, Wonderland's War - it's uncanny how many game favorites we have in common! Haha
Great games! I love Spirit Island and Terraforming Mars myself. Interesting how some games slipped the rankings. This War of Mine seemed to be a red herring in the intro footage there! P.S. I think it’s time to admit that I have a tiny crush on Janis. Not saying which Janis lol
Not much overlap**** but I'd say many people would put those games in their top 10! wonderland war hadrian's wall spirit island **** terraforming mars **** nemesis lockdown dune imperium **** kings dilemma dwellings of eldervale **** eldritch horror Lord of the ring card game nemesis **** twilight struggle eclipse 2nd dawn dwellings of eldervale **** feed the kranken clank legacy here i stand dune imperium **** star wars rebellion **** Runewars
Twilight Stuggle, War of the Ring 2nd Edition, The Battle of Five Armies, and Star Wars Rebellion - probably the reigning two-player only games for sheer head to head strategizing. All worthy candidates. I have to mention Tikal with two players, as well. Just head-to-head mental crunching with two players, just as good as those others up there, and it's cheaper no doubt, and it can support I forget, up to five players, I think. Insanely protracted strategies in that one.
Kind of slapped stonemaier a bit lol. I'm a big fan of all their games specially scythe. very cool to keep eldrich horror on the list! Another surprise was that the two games in the big battle at bgg were left off hehe. Gloomhave vs Brass.
Twilight struggle is awesome! I wish it was more than 2 players but it's so good, the cards are awesome, they use historical photos, there are small mechanixs that just barely give the edge over the opponent, player positions are offset by being the US or USSR, unspoken rules that can be broken for interesting gameplay
Great video! It’s strange that there is no room for Mage Knight 😢 My personal top 10: 1) Arkham Horror 2nd 2) Arkham Horror LCG 3) Mage Knight 4) Nemesis 5) Game of thrones (2nd) 6) Star Wars: Rebellion 7) Chaos in the old world 8) Race! Formula 90 9)Fallout 10) Too many bones
1 Tyrants of the Underdark 2 The Quest for El Dorado 3 Northgard: Uncharted Lands 4 7 Wonders (Second Edition) 5 7 Wonders Duel 6 Lost Ruins of Arnak 7 Keyflower 8 Terraforming Mars 9 Inis 10 Wonder Book
Excellent list of games.I own Nemesis, spirit island, dune imperium and clank.you should try lords of Water deep if you enjoy dune imperium because it has a lot of similar mechanics.
Okay, two of my top ten were mentioned: Rebellion & TS. That was more than I was expecting. Neither of which I've had a chance to play in about 5 years (very sadly).
Easily my favorite game of all time is Brass: Birmingham, then Twilight Imperium, followed by The Quacks of Quedlinburg. Quacks is the most interesting chill group game because you aren't going against each other but you're also watching carefully as you randomly pull out your ingredients and hope your pot doesn't explode. Best game and I've gotten a lot of people into it. Least favorite game: Doomlings. Too slow, 1 card a turn and just waiting for others to go. I've won with only 3 cards on the board after 45 min of playing. Its just not fun because there is so little to do and in the end everything you do can be randomly sabotaged by others.
I recently got Hadrian's Wall and really enjoyed my first solo play. I really want to get Nemesis. Waiting for my version of Wonderland's War to arrive. I played it once at 2 player but really want to try it at a higher count.
It’s nice to see TFM being praised whilst showing footage with how easy it is to mess up the production cubes - which regardless of how you feel about the game is objectively an issue.
Star wars rebellion is not jist super immersive but it has such strategical depth...it is amazing andnincredible. It might feel luck dependent but i beg to differ and skill almost always prevails
@@BoardGameHangover very important. It is mote like a patch to a video game. There are some expansion stuff but lots of rebalancig and better mechanic for battles. (Repair mechanic and full on strategy options not just for 1 battle as you have 8-8 tactics cards that you have to be mindfull throughoutnthe whole game. It gives a lot of decision option or even better...when you know what cards the opponent doesnt have. It is a whole new level.) Green dice also fun
to be honest for LOTR card game I got the game as it had great review, but didn't like it much, I only got the base version, maybe spending more money on it would make it better but as far as I played it's not sitting in my shelf getting dust for the nemesis, haven't played lockdown, as I got the base version KS and happily review was so good I managed to sell it easily without loosing any money, really don't like it, too random. only game it's in my top 10 is spirit island, I have gloomhaven/root which didn't appear and for me are both worth to be in the top 10
If you didn't enjoy the base mechanisms of LOTR Card game the extra sets won't really help with that. It helps with deck building and story, but the gameplay really doesn't change from the basic set.
Dune Imperium is my the most played game of 2022. I think i played more than 400 games xD Can't wait for the new expansion so I can play it again! A month ago i tried Northgard: Uncharted Lands and I was blown away! It's very simple and streamlined 4X game mixed with deckbuilding mechanics and it's really good and fun! I want to get Eclipse, but it's so god damn expensive xD
My top 10 would be 1). Dune: Imperium 2). Raiders of the North Sea(with expansions) 3). Obsession 4). Wayfarers of the South Tigris 5). Scythe 6). 7 Wonders(with expansions) 7). Spirit Island 8). Wingspan 9). Clank! Catacombs 10). Viticulture(with Tuscany)
I hope that Jānis G will get Eclipse more than 2 times on the table this year. My goal for 2022 was to get TI4 at least 3 times on the table, I managed 5 times. Miracles happen :D
Top 10 1. Food Chain Magnate 2. Detective: City of Angel's 3. Nemesis 4. Twilight Imperium 5. Hansa Teutonica 6. Lost Ruins of Arnak 7. Dead of Winter 8. Betrayal 9. The Quest for El Dorado 10. Longshot The Dice game
Great list, mine would overlap with almost all of those mentioned! I was wondering: in your opinion, is the Deluxe edition of Wonderland's War worth it? What's the difference between that and the retail version?
I backed the deluxe version because it comes with minis (that I would love to paint one day) and they have better looking pieces, token bags etc. Is it necessary? No, not at all. But if you're willing to spend that extra money the game will pop and feel so much more intriguing. At least for me. /JT
Every time I watch your top I remorse selling Spirit Island. I have played it thrice with 3 different groups and all said it's boring. I liked it but decided to sell it and buy Robinson Crusoe. My friends like it as and I. But Spirit Island was a good pick and I should have kept it in collection for solo play or other group that would assess it better. Now I have to wait for Ukrainian localisation if it ever happen
It hasn't slipped far... It's 11th this year. Mostly it's because I found it difficult to get to the table this year. It's on the longer side and had other games that replaced a lot of it's playing time. Yet I still really enjoy it!
Nemesis is one of my favorite, I also love Mansions of Madness as far as Cthulu games and appreciate it's app companion (which I know can be controversial) as it takes care of a lot of busy work. Red rising is a nice and fast game and for party games everyone I know has had fun with Hellapogos.
Surprised that neither of you have 'The Great Wall' on the list. Then again I also didn't find a review of it on your channel. I would think you two would really like this game.
i love how you guys format every video so much. every video is a reasonable length of time, and everything said is meaningful. beautifully edited and paced and i wish more channels had this format
Thank you Jack! We're supper happy you're enjoying our work. Makes it all worth it!

I have almost all of these games... On tabletop simulator 😂
You would still feel the same even if you're already working. LOL. Speaking from experience.
Then you are not broke
Board games are much more expensive than video games. That's one of the reasons why it's not as popular as video games.

Great job on this list guys! Haven’t heard of a lot of these games but am I ever glad I found this video to get acquainted

"I left so many good games off of my list" we feel you. It's really hard to narrow it down to just 10. Based on your top 10 you'll really have a blast with Dune Imperium. Fits right in there.
Both good lists :)
Interesting for us base Nemesis won the contest, lockdown somehow felt less interesting for us.
#1: ISS Vanguard
#2: Root
#3: Moonrakers
#4: Cloudspire
#5: Brew
#6: Fantasy Realms
#7: Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space
#8: Too Many Bones
#9: The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game
#10: Hive Pocket
Hadrian’s Wall is amazing. I do love the easy setup aspect that you mention
Just came across your channel. Awesome content. Really nice vibe and well paced videos!
Nice lists. I love that games have changed and it's a different list than a year ago!
2022 was a really good year for new games :)
@@BoardGameHangover Indeed it was. Two of my favourites came out last year and there are several more I still want to try out!
1. Undaunted: Stalingrad
2. Twilight Imperium
3. Dune: Imperium
4. Undaunted Normandy/North Africa
5. Mistborn: House War
6. Teraforming Mars: Ares Expedition
7. Lost Ruins of Arnak
8. Star Wars Rebellion
9. Salem 1692
10. Betrayal Legacy
Janis, I think if you like thematic wargames you would absolutely die for Undaunted: Stalingrad.
Thanks so much.
You guys are fun 😁. I'll definitely check out more of your videos

First time I have watched your content and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely made a subscriber out of me.
Thanks so much.
I don’t have an order but I know Arkham Horror CCG, Choas in the Old World, Mansions of Madness, Oathsworn, and Just One
Great picks! Love how they all are these heavy, thematic games and then there's Just one. :D Amazing party game
Star Wars rebellion is so cool and immersive… very nice to see it made it to the list! 😎👍🏼
80% of ur lists would be in my list, that's why I love u guys! keep up the good work!
Love LOTR LCG and Dune Imperium! Great list guys
They are amazing games!
Congratulations on your purchase of Eclipse 2nd! :D Played it yesterday, so one more play this year to come. :D
Great list! Next time I would love a little bit longer explanation of the game but all around great video thank you!
Noted!
Gloomhaven
Sleeping Gods
Arkham Horror TCG
Agricola
Search for Planet X
This War of Mine
Viticulture EE (with Tuscany)
Spirit Island
Mage Knight
Titan
Great list! Most of them you'll find in the JT Top 20
first time I end up on this channel. You guys seem pretty cool. I subscribe !
Welcome!
Star Wars Rebellion is the most atmospheric game period. Is sooo good. If you haven't played it you should.
I have, it is amazing. However I have only played the base and I have read that the expansion is a must. Is it? /JG
My top 10 of all times actually are:
1. BloodRage
2. Terraforming Mars
3. Ark Nova
4. Dune: Imperium
5. RuneWars
6. Wingspan
7. Twighlight Inscription
8. Agricola
9. Dungeon Fighter
10. Ankh - Gods of Egypt
My top 9:
1. Gloomhaven
2. Bloodborne Board Game
3. Tanares Adventure
4. Massive Darkness 2
5. Middara
6. Nemesis Lockdown
7. Dark Souls Board Game
8. Sword and Sorcery
9. Lands of Galzyr
Great lists! Definitely some surprises (both inclusions and omissions), but that's what makes rhe hobby great, such a wide variety of tastes and games. Here's my list:
1. Viticulture (with Tuscany)
2. Terraforming Mars
3. Scythe
4. Concordia
5. Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion
6. Everdell
7. Castles of Burgundy
8. Lost Ruins of Arnak
9. Nemesis
10. Parks (with Nightfall)
Well said, totally agree. Good list. Have to get Concordia to the table again.
Ouh, haven't played some of the games on your lists. Really need to get my hands on Nemesis: Lockdown. Also, I love the idea behind King's Dilemma, but don't have a group for it. Would love to play that one as well. As for my 10 current favourites:
10. Captain Sonar
9. Arkham Horror: The Card Game
8. Coup
7. Terraforming Mars
6. Small World: Underground
5. Sheriff of Nottingham
4. Inis
3. Root
2. Spirit Island
1. Kemet
It is probably not that hard to guess what genre I enjoy the most ^^
I haven't actually played a lot of these but most were on my wishlist. Specifically Eldervale, Wonderland's War and Spirit Island.
My current top 10 has to be:
1. Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization
2. Everdell
3. Brass: Birmingham
4. Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game
5. Ticket to Ride: Europe (15th Anniversary Edition)
6. Eldritch Horror
7. 7 Wonders
8. Disney Villainous
9. Wingspan
10. Azul
I still have 8 board games which I havent even played yet which will probably shake up my top 10.
Mine would be
Eldritch Horror
Burncycle
Sheol
SW Imperial Assault
The Night Cage
Nemesis
Brass
The Loop
Mansions of Madness
Bloodborne
That's an awesome list!
Which Bloodborne? :D
@@MydasNeomagie Bloodborne the Board game. I haven’t tried the card game yet.
@@WestChamber21 It's really nice!
YOU ARE BOTH AWESOME! ❤❤❤
Another great video guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ares Expedition is my fave over the base game. Main one just takes way too long.
Nemesis and Spirit Island are in my Top 5, and not sure if it will ever change.
Heck Im building my e-raptor insert for Nemesis now, for a game night next week. 😁
Ps. its sad that SI is getting lower this year, though it might go up again with the new expansion haha.
Both amazing games! Hard to see them ever leaving the top as well
Terraforming Mars will always be in our top
Same /JT
Not much overlap**** but I'd say many people would put those games in their top 10!
wonderland war
hadrian's wall
spirit island ****
terraforming mars ****
nemesis lockdown
dune imperium ****
kings dilemma
dwellings of eldervale ****
eldritch horror
Lord of the ring card game
nemesis ****
twilight struggle
eclipse 2nd dawn
dwellings of eldervale ****
feed the kranken
clank legacy
here i stand
dune imperium ****
star wars rebellion ****
Runewars
Thanks for the video.
Some of my favorites are
Tornado Rex
Battle Masters
Dark World
Assault on Hoth
X-Men: Under Seige!
Yes, I know. I'm a simpleton.
Wow these are all oldies! Great collection :)
1: twilight imperium
2:Brass Birmingham
3:food chain magnate
4:Dune war game
5: Starwars rebellion
Great video! It’s strange that there is no room for Mage Knight 😢 My personal top 10: 1) Arkham Horror 2nd 2) Arkham Horror LCG 3) Mage Knight 4) Nemesis 5) Game of thrones (2nd) 6) Star Wars: Rebellion 7) Chaos in the old world 8) Race! Formula 90 9)Fallout 10) Too many bones
Oooof, there are some good games on these two lists. Love so many of them :) And just learned about Here I Stand the other day.
1 Tyrants of the Underdark
2 The Quest for El Dorado
3 Northgard: Uncharted Lands
4 7 Wonders (Second Edition)
5 7 Wonders Duel
6 Lost Ruins of Arnak
7 Keyflower
8 Terraforming Mars
9 Inis
10 Wonder Book
I waited to see your #1s before I gave you a like ;)
Great video! Any thoughts on how Wonderlands War plays with only 2 players? I’m waiting for my Kickstarter to arrive! Thanks.
It's pretty good with two, but it's best with more players because of the high interaction and area control :)
At first I thought "Here I Stand, looks boring AF", but then I loved Twilight Struggle. Never heard of this game and I'll definitely look for it!
A nice video can I have your opinion for Eclipse 2nd dawn vs Empires of the Void 2?
We have not played Empires of the Void. Sorry.
Excellent list of games.I own Nemesis, spirit island, dune imperium and clank.you should try lords of Water deep if you enjoy dune imperium because it has a lot of similar mechanics.
Loved the video, guys. I wonder what happened between Ark nova and Janis. I was sure this one would appear somewhere here hahah.
It dropped just below the top 10.
Nemesis is not for everyone. Which of course makes it the #1 game ever!
Thoughts on war of the ring? Just only getting into board games
It's in JT top 20 of all time :) Really amazing game, just hard to get to the table. But if you're a lord of the rings fan... It's a must-have
I was thinking in buy scythe?
What do you think about the game???
Here is what we think ;) ua-cam.com/video/pxhJV3cF_30/v-deo.html
Okay, two of my top ten were mentioned: Rebellion & TS. That was more than I was expecting. Neither of which I've had a chance to play in about 5 years (very sadly).
Ouch. That is sad. They just came out with a smaller version of TS.
You mentioned Skyrim to each other briefly. Have you guys played it?
would love to hear your quick thoughts on it, or see a nice review!
Review is coming. Jānis G. (me) is lagging with his playthrough.
@@BoardGameHangover Awesome guys, you legends. Can't wait!
This is the day we will write in our logbooks: 5th place in the best board games of all time. Whoop whoop!
You deserve it! Thanks for creating an awesome game!
I wish a bunch of these games came in smaller boxes and a smaller footprint on the table! lol
I recently got Hadrian's Wall and really enjoyed my first solo play. I really want to get Nemesis.
Waiting for my version of Wonderland's War to arrive. I played it once at 2 player but really want to try it at a higher count.
Wonderland's War shines at four I think. Patiently waiting for my copy as well /JT
It’s nice to see TFM being praised whilst showing footage with how easy it is to mess up the production cubes - which regardless of how you feel about the game is objectively an issue.
Agreed... That's why I ordered the double layered boards. Won't play without them /JT
my top 1 board game is Dune from avalon hill
Please do a top 10 for PvP board games
Will add it to the list of ideas!
Started with SdA LCG AND RUNEWARS! Wow
What's SdA? 🤔
Do share the best travel-sized board games, preferably for couples :)
Star wars rebellion is not jist super immersive but it has such strategical depth...it is amazing andnincredible. It might feel luck dependent but i beg to differ and skill almost always prevails
I have to agree. The more I play it the more I see that. But, how important is the exp. do you think? As I have only played the base game.
It is a whole new level.)
Green dice also fun
to be honest for LOTR card game I got the game as it had great review, but didn't like it much, I only got the base version, maybe spending more money on it would make it better but as far as I played it's not sitting in my shelf getting dust
for the nemesis, haven't played lockdown, as I got the base version KS and happily review was so good I managed to sell it easily without loosing any money, really don't like it, too random.
only game it's in my top 10 is spirit island, I have gloomhaven/root which didn't appear and for me are both worth to be in the top 10
Backed Nemesis sold it without regret, most overhyped game.
Might check Eldervale, Terraforming Mars seems so similar to 7 Wonders
Well it's basically a better zombicide imo
Where are you from guys? Latvia? Lithuenia??
Latvia. What gave us away?
@@BoardGameHangover The pronunciation of "v" as "w" ^_^
yeeeeaaah my fave Nemesis won it. Cool.
Nemesis is amazing!
My top 10 would be
1). Dune: Imperium
2). Raiders of the North Sea(with expansions)
3). Obsession
4). Wayfarers of the South Tigris
5). Scythe
6). 7 Wonders(with expansions)
7). Spirit Island
8). Wingspan
9). Clank! Catacombs
10). Viticulture(with Tuscany)
I would have added Kanban EV, Great Western trail, Troyes
Great additions!
i find yours lack of eurogames disturbing.. however, good list!!
I hope that Jānis G will get Eclipse more than 2 times on the table this year. My goal for 2022 was to get TI4 at least 3 times on the table, I managed 5 times. Miracles happen :D
Fingers crossed 🤞. 5 TI plays is an amazing feat!
I really need to get Dune Imperium, Hadrian's Wall, and Ark Nova.
Oh wait, you didn't say Ark Nova. :P
Ark Nova almost got into the top 10, but not quite
My top game is Sidereal Confluence. Have you guys played it?
My favourite is Spirit Island
Such a great game! And the replayability is trough the roof
Top 10
1. Food Chain Magnate
2. Detective: City of Angel's
3. Nemesis
4. Twilight Imperium
5. Hansa Teutonica
6. Lost Ruins of Arnak
7. Dead of Winter
8. Betrayal
9. The Quest for El Dorado
10. Longshot The Dice game
Nice list. Gald to see some unique and classic games.
Hello! May I ask why Ark Nova has dropped off your list for you? Thinking about getting it...
Haven't played it unfortunately... Will have to add it to the wishlist /JT
Where can I download a pc or smartphone version of STAY ALIVE marble board game? Thanks
Oh, you got us. We do not know. We even had to look up the game.
