It’s said that he dedicated this song to his mother, which went missing, and he never found out what happened to her or why she suddenly disappear never seeing her again after that, when you say you could feel he was singing to a specific person, that person was probably his mom, and those lyrics reflect his longing for his mother to return to him. 😢 (btw the song is called hasta el fin “until the end” the song basically talks about how he’s going to love this one person until the end even if she’s not with him anymore.)

I more recent performance that will BLOW YOUR MIND is "Contigo en la distancia." Buenos Aires 2019. It's only 4 years ago. He's 49 years old there. It's mostly improvised with few words and it brings many people to tears.

It was his mom, that whole album, for the most part, he has said was a dedication to his missing mother.
Luis Miguel, a singing coursebook... and that's why he didn't or he hasn't needed to record an album in English...several latino stars did the crosssover into the English market, but Luis Miguel does not follow the fashion or trends...he is coherent and faithful to his art...he does not need to enter into the English market singing in English, he can make every heart fall in love with his voice in his own language. The true sensitive souls will understand.
A latino singer who has great songs in English and Spanish is jon secada, Angel and just another day without you are amazing in their original version, he can't really sing much now but those songs are epic for a male
