- I really wish we could go back to these times where we had access to multiple maps and different types of biomes.

I remember the first time hypo first came out, it was when progression was a thing and survival was a work in progress. I just spawned in as a herra and I was contemplating if I want to be a Utah or a allo as I searched for food and found some but it was some leftover and didn’t get much but eventually I found a astro and killed it, after that I decided to go in to triplets as it was known on v3 at the time and stayed in a bush to wait until I needed more food and when I did, I would have enough points to progress.
At this point I was chilling and moving around to not get spotted by the things that go on here but as I was moving I was spotted by another herra, luckily he was friendly and invited me into a group and I accepted because I didn’t want a fight and good thing I didn’t because more then 5 were also in group and we talked about how we are in the procession and if we needed food, we did a few hunts around triplets and luckily we were doing great with nothing big and mostly small creatures.
As we were waiting to progress a hypo showed up from the tree-line and killed half of us before we could escape into the forest, we were freaked out because hypos eat constantly and would absolutely hunt down our group considering there was nothing at triplets so our best bet was to lose it in the forest and go somewhere easy to hide and find food but as we were moving someone in the group said that he had a friend that killed a Mia and was a allo, he was located at redwoods and we set off there to fill up some more and wait
We made it too redwoods and we were close to progress and were talking no about what was viable and what we wanted to be I was leaning towards Utah because at the time it was the only Dino faster then hypo and I like raptors but as we were all close to progressing the SAME HYPO CAME THROUGH THE TREES AGAIN AND CHASED US DOWN.
We couldn’t escape because the bushes were mostly around the pond, some of us were able to get to them in time, others panicked and hid behind a tree and died I went into a bush but ass I was in it I found another bush inside of a bush so I hid in that and someone got next to me and we wait to progress.
few of us did it as soon they got into a bush but me, the person next to me and the others had at lest 2 min to get two more points for what they want and it was Utah but only 2 were able to, the rest were found in there bushes and eaten and I had one more point, the hypo was inching towed me it found someone, ate him and moved closer until it was at my bush stoped and bit….
I thought I was dead but it turned out that he killed the person next to me and started eating not knowing I was right next to it, I had 1. More. Point. One minute. And by the time he got to my bush it was less then 30 seconds so I waited as it ate my friend and eventually….
I progressed
My favorite memory is in early Legacy. Pouncing was still functional, the downside was that we could only pounce on a Shantungosaurus or a Puertasaurus. Also Giga had a Ambush speed faster then Utah run speed.
I found myself checking a river near some rocks utahs would camp on, when a giga came from behind me and started ambush sprinting me down, i ran down river and found a shant drinking there. In my panic ( i was a total noob) i pounced the shant, who in turn spooked turned, and made the giga miss its bite on me, instead hitting the shant. I dismounted and the shant and giga ended up duking it out. Unfortunately i do not know who won, i sorta pissed myself in the spook, and i kept running like a headless chicken.
(I do imagine the Shant probably won that one , especially in early progression)

I wish they add a desert map it would be so cool, something that looks like the old grim expanse mod would be amazing !

A bit too quick on some cuts. IDK if it's possible with playback into the editing software but smoothing would help a lot with the mouse control.
Framing the scene was pretty good, in most cases.

Nice vid bro
For less jankiness when you view and record the playback, use a controller! It's much smoother since the joysticks make it look more like a camera's movement. Other than that, great video and an awesome find.

well u can still make it? just draw inspiration and upgrade yours if thats how u feel about your project. Dont let others stop you from making stuff u like. Besides there is not much content in desert. Lots of videos can be set in this enviroment before they fix the ocean.

I found the concept of the video well thought out, it gives the impression of a documentary in arid lands. I just find it a shame that at certain times in spectator mode the nicknames are displayed, it spoils the immersion a little but otherwise keep it up I found it entertaining, other videos of this type could look good with the grapple and maybe also a voiceover which explains what is happening from time to time .
Ahh okay, i thought that aswell, figured i'd include it like u can see "the asset" from a drone pov, it was a hit or miss call, guess i missed >.< :p tnx for the feedback!

Erm well actually Utah or the so called "Omni"-raptor did not live in deserts, but actually a smaller cousin of the utahraptor called velociraptor, this video is unaccurate. jk jk Very nice

Correct. Would love to have actual maps tho. Gateway is beautiful, but also 90% dead due to unplayable terrain. Granted in this video it shows the complete opposite, and as a result the teno has no defense against pouncing whatsoever. Just shows how busted bucking is atm, and how much of a buff or rework it needs. (Personally id say rework, so it works everywhere universally as a counter to pounce but with fair mechanics to both parties, so far ive only seen one sided changes)
where under the ocean?
@@jessechaffin8593 The bottom of the ocean has no water. it stops halfway. Found out when diving down to ocean floor as a salt croc, and halfway i went into a free-fall to my death.
@@jessechaffin8593 far out, you cant get there because you would die of fall damage unless you tp there as an admin or an admin tps you
So uh sense this is under the ocean how do the herbivores eat?
only admins can get that far down with a herbivore ;D , meaning u dont need food due to admin panel.
