      You can pan for diamonds in Iowa rivers. Countless diamonds would have been pushed down from deposits on the Superior Craton. It would just be a luck of the draw kind of thing but still definitely something to watch out for. A UV light could be useful and checking gravel bars at night for florescent stones. Approximately 30% of all diamonds glow under UV light.

    • @bring6not12
      @bring6not12 3 роки тому

      diamonds are some of the best conductor materials, so it depends on what the diamonds temp is before you touch it, a metal rod will feel cold on your tounge until it warms up, same is true for a diamond.

      @Seeds-Of-The-Wayside 3 роки тому

      @@bring6not12 right I'm pretty sure it's because they conduct heat away from your tongue quite efficiently and dissipate it, not because they were in the fridge LOL.

    • @bring6not12
      @bring6not12 3 роки тому

      @@Seeds-Of-The-Wayside oh yeah thats a thing i forgot to mention yeah you are totally right, diamonds also have the best ability to transfer heat to the air out of most (if not any) gemstone!
