The only tools you’ll need to replace your broken tilt latch on your house windows are a Flat-head screw driver and a Hammer. You’ll want to start by unlocking the house window. Then lifting it up and tilting towards you. Pull off the clip cover from the house window frame. Use your screwdriver to lift up the panelling. This will expose the interior component of the tilt latch on your house windows.
Unscrew the interior screws to remove the old tilt latch. Put the new tilt latch in place and return the screws in place. Use the bottom of your screwdriver or use a hammer to reattach the house window frame. Push the clip cover back in place.
