    Made this for a 1-year-old over the weekend. I used a G-4.5mm hook and started with 82 chains for the foundation. I folded the sides to make it look like a little Dutch hat, looks super cute! Thank you for the tutorial!

    Aside from some repetitiveness in speaking, this was a great tutorial! I really appreciated the written instructions near the end because I had a hard time following the verbal instructions. I made a tinier version (36 chains, micro preemie size) and it turned out lovely! Thank-you!

    Just a small tip, if you're going to use your slip knot end for sewing the hat together, you should say that at the beginning to leave it long for sewing. But i made chicken hats with this pattern. Thanks.

    • @adjones87
      @adjones87 9 років тому +2

      Terrie Fetter The 0-3m should fit a NB, I would do 54. But she said multiples of 6 so you could go down 6 stitches (48) and see if it's a big difference.

    • @woolywonderscrochet7586
      @woolywonderscrochet7586  9 років тому +4

      Hi +Sunshine Whidden I chained 54 which came out at a size 0 - 3 months. For a newborn I would recommend chaining 48 or 54 depending on how big you want it. I used a size 4mm crochet hook - if you use a bigger hook make sure that you use less chains or your hat will be too big and if you use a smaller hook increase the chain length. I hope this helps, thank you very much for watching x

      Use the same size hook and yarn type the instructor does (4mm and a 3 weight yarn), and measure the baby's head from chin to chin and make that many chains in a multiple of six. I hope that helps you!
