Great geo building, that my music made me nervous. I had to turn the volume down all the way to focus on the build. But I would love to have one of those or two for my property.
Great video! How has this dome held up, are there things you learned that you would do differently? Can you build a dome like this without a poured foundation? could it be secured to piers instead? How was it ventilated? Thank you for sharing!
that would be a long list and very expensive, these are kits from GrowingSpaces in Colorado, pricey and well engineered, ready to assemble (the Polycarbonate comes in 6' x 35' sheets, would you really want to deal with that?)
@@beyoncesdaughter9128 me too, I could do a house inside the dome and have a lush garden at that size, we used to build those also photos.app.goo.gl/BmPNQyM3LfeDDgE19

How did you secure the wood part to the ground, I don't see a foundation, did you pour concrete or wood posts or what exactly step by step did you do, if you don't mind sharing or have a site with how to do this to share, could you! Where did you build this and do you or could you build something similar for others if interested, and if so, how much?? Please?! Blessings!
Also, how much did this project run Tom build, everything required, total, assuming you had tools already but what tools would be needed also? Thank you!
Are the other dome like structures housing? If so, did you build those also or where did you get them, and how much was it to get or build them and install?
Looked like the dome framing and polycarbonate or whatever see through panels slide or fit together perfectly. Is this some kind of a kit and do you have links to any hardware and materials you needed to buy to build this?
I do as I am the lead builder for the company that makes them, however they do not hand them out or sell them, there is plenty of information on the web to get you started
How does it fail and what's greener mean to you, I think the owner wanted to grow her own food all year round which she has done, her location is also snowed in 7 months a year.
A 7-minute video, with the first minute wasted on a panaramic scenery shot. Then, no narration or explanation of materials used, or reason or purpose of the design. Too bad. It looked interesting as far as it went.
The video was made for the owners and my record, not for instruction nor promotion, you can go to the company's website or youtube channel if you want that information

Sorry about that :)
Get some of the sticky solar panels you would have it going on...

go to growingspaces.com for more info, new domes this size will get solar attic fans
BTW I have build them with only a gravel foundation, piers works just fine also

hey! nice video. i really like it. i got a short question. what kinf of foil u put on the inside of the patch.
greetings from germany
the north wall insulation is called reflectix, its like bubble wrap with foil on both sides.
Hi: Awesome build, what connectors are you using and what is the dimension of the lumber that is being used? Cheers Scott.
Hubs are made by Growingspace just for their Growingdome, the lumber in the 42 footers is 2x6
this is awesome! How did you calculate length of all planks for 42 feet?
Didn't have to as this is a kit everything is precut and ready to assemble, however there are plenty of dome calculaters online
What was you covering process? Looks like a polycarbonite panel.
5 wall Polycarbontie, screw them on from the top down
Insulated forms, home made I think it was, concrete between blueboard
That was fun to watch
Ah, this looks a bit interesting.
Great dome! Where did you get your hubs?
The Dome is a Kit from Growingspaces.com
Rodney Volkmar ok, Thank you!

I hope you waterproofed the wood or you'll have serious issues with rot in about 5 years.
we use lifetime wood treatment, mosty the Domes last 20 years if taken care of
nice pics shame .... about the lack of info
What info did you want?

I can only really send you to growingspace.com for cost, over 40k I am sure

What is the foundation?
Concrete
Do you have a materials and cut list for this project? And supplies list, plus plans or directions?? Please?!

Hello, what is the transparent cover material you put over your dome?
Theodore Parkin polycarbonate, 5 wall
It looked like a lot of scrap, do you know how much wast you had?
Theodore Parkin very little, all was precut except for doorways
If this projection as meant to become greaner.....sorry to say but its a big fail....
