The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is a club that independently bottles rare single cask single malt scotch from some of the best distillery from all around the world. This is one of the best ways I have found to get some really special bottles of single malt scotch. Its a bit of a long one but lots to go over with The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. I’ll check with Bunker Branding (they make my merch)and see what they can do. I know they work with Robert Oberst and he is a strong man clicking in at about 6’7” 410lbs. So I know they can make some bigger stuff. 😉👍🏻

My parents live in Edinburgh and we have been members for years. Love going to the building in Leith and having a wonderful lunch, enjoying the atmosphere and having a few drams.
a common misconception about scotch from bourbon drinkers: not many scotches are bottled at cask strenght..... there are probably thousands of options of cask strength scotch. Scotch aficionados are the same as bourbon aficionados, we go for the higher proof bottles that provide more flavor. I have about 300 scotches and 90% of them are cask strength. Anyway, love your videos, keep doing great work.

Absolutely buddy. I was 10 years into the whisky journey before I could drink Ardbeg, Laga and Call Up and pick up the other flavours ahead of the peat.
I had Ardbeg 10 too early in my journey and all I could get was hospital floor. It put me off Islay for years. What brought me back was a super sweet and complex Octomore 09.1! 👍

I half live in Edinburgh and half live in the Netherlands so I love SMWS. Their bar is a great place to visit and just try some new things out. Just a nice escape from the hustle of Edinburgh. Their staff in the bar are really knowledgeable so if you just talk to them about what you like they will make some good suggestions.

Jeremy, PX is short for Pedro Ximénez (pronounced "hey-men-ez"). The name comes from the name of the grapes used to make the sherry.

Hey Jeremy, you may want to seek out Cordoba and Morales cigars. Especially the Finca Santa Fe Maduro. Amazing with bourbon or scotch - or coffee for that matter. They are a boutique blend based here in Orlando with Nicaraguan tobaccos.

Dude, been trying a few of your recommendations for pairings and I GOTTA recommend for YOU, try a Kuwait Diplomat with Speyriver Scotch.....tried it the other day expecting a better result with pairing it with Woodford Reserve Double Oak....and was EXTREMELY SURPRISED! Give it a try when you can man...😛👌....FREAKIN DELICIOUS!!😋👍

You've hit the trinity of indulgences for me, Cigars, Coffee and whiskey. Rock on.
I'm a big fan of Campbeltown. Not sure if things have changed in recent years, but to my knowledge the three main brands of Cambeltown are all owned by the Mitchell family and they try different styles for each brand and if I remember correctly they are one of the few/the only ones in Scotland that do every step by themselves.
Springbank is lightly peated but still fruity (my favorite, they have some lovely ones with cask expressions like Madeira and Port), Longrow which is peated and more in the vein of Islay and last but not least we have Hazelburn which is triple distilled and unpeated. Lovely stuff.
I really enjoyed it! I’ll be looking for more from that region. 👍🏻
Oh how I wish I loved Islay Scotches! My palate is so peat sensitive that it comes across like I just ate a hospital with the medicinal, band-aid, gauze like flavours. Its been about 5-6 months on my dive into whisk(e)ies and thus far, I'm a big fan of bourbons, and speyside styles! Still, need more adventure, so thank you for the videos! Cheers!

Armagnac is truly special brandy, taste some Remy Martin Rare Cask and you'll be blown away, but it's really customary in Europe, paired with special dishes.
SMWS is great. It's like barrel proof store picks of scotch.

I love a good aged single malt. My dad took it upon himself to collect Juras. He was so mad when I got to try a new top shelf releases before him because I was friends with a dude who was a taster.

Try it with different combo's. I felt similar until one day I had a glass of Glenfiddich 14 on a rock about 20 minutes after a cigar and it just opened up completely and was amazing. The next day I poured a glass of monkey shoulder (always tasted like Band-Aids) and tried it with different foods. I don't remember what did it but suddenly it tasted like bananas bread and that never went away once I found it. Point is those notes I found never went away but the Band-Aids and vomit disappeared. If you like bourbon you should give Glenfiddich 14 or Glenlivet founders reserve a try.
Islay scotches are like that super burnt tire smoke, vomit, dark smokey flavors. speysides are more bourbon like but less sweet unless theyre sherry casked mor friendly in that respect

Tutti frutti is a Swedish candy first produced in 1924 by Mazetti, it still exist today and are produced by Frazer.
It's a mix blend sweet candy with different fruit flavours.
I've noticed the notes of tutti frutti in some whisky, so I think it's a good description.

If you're ever in Edinburgh, Glasgow or London, they have a few members only bars where you can sample whisky by the dram, rather than buying whole bottles.

I called myself experimenting so I bought a 25 y/o scotch. I enjoyed 1 first glass that I had with a Omar Ortiz original cigar. I later poured 1 finger and absolutely hated it. Took a month off and gave it another go, the contents of the bottle can now be found in the sewer system
