Nile crocs man, Nile crocs! Also, palm. Mourning geckos are awesome! I’m getting my first “look but don’t touch” reptiles this weekend: how do you do viv maintenance without them escaping? Thanks!
I have 3 mourning gecko bioactive vivariums near my bed. They don’t really wake me up, but if I am awake at night, I can hear them chirping and scuffling around....makes me smile. 🦎👍
Those geckos are so cool. Despite having such simple color and patterns, they look really beautiful. I would love to see a video on parthenogenic animals in the future. As always, Mike, this video turned out really good. Wish I could come see ya at the Calgary expo, but I live in America, so that's probably not happening. Right now, my favorite kind of animal is probably a dilophosaurus, but that changes daily. What's your favorite kind of animal right now? Palm
Palm. I've never raised reptiles or amphibians before, but I worked at a pet store, and, along with fish, was my area of the store. My favorite of all of those were probably the red eyed crocodile skinks. But, I also love scorpions.
I would love a video on parthenogenesis! I’m a huge nerd when it comes to biology. 😅❤️ The mourning geckos are adorable! ❤️😍❤️ Omg, my fav animal is seriously the hardest question ever... too many great choices! I’ve just started telling people it’s a tardigrade. ❤️😆❤️ Palm!
Asian small clawed otters are my favorite mammals but my favorite reptile has to be tortoises any but especially radiated stars spiders marginated and Aldabras, palm also
Hey Mike, I recently got a gold dust day gecko from a friend and he doesn't seem to be doing to well. The gecko is having trouble shedding and is not eating. I have tried to add a ton of extra moisture to the tank but its not helping. I used a wet paper towel to help wipe the skin stuck on his eyes because he could not even see. Any recommendations on how to help the geckos shed? (Details: 12x12x18 tank, with 10uvb bulb, and the guy I got the gecko from said that the uvb bulb would supply enough heat for them but it only seems to get 75 degrees at max right next to the bulb. Should I add a 40 to 50 watt heating bulb?) Thanks!
You are really lucky to be able to care for all of those reptiles, my parents are divorced and I split time evenly between them. Therefore I can’t provide daily care for a reptile I would want. Great video though!
I’m thinking of getting a couple of morning get goes I have a 30 gallon tank to put them in how many would I be safe plants I’ve never ever done this before but it was suggested by a friend of mine so I’m assuming she knows how to take care of so I’ll be guided by her hopefully
hi mike I was looking into getting mourning geckos and was wondering if I could house them with my bumble bee dart frogs. I have a 45 cube exo terra with 3 bumble bee darts could it be housed or is the tank to small? I noticed you said you putting 7 in the same size tank.
You’re going to drown in those lugubris 😁 I got two adults few months ago and now i got like 10 of them. They multiply like crazy. Also btw, if you’re still interested in how I did my living room vivarium, I did a quick how to make video of it here 😊
Hello Mike, polm! Those little ones are so adorable. Favorite animal. I've always loved giraffes. But your question for me is like saying who your favorite child is. God bless you and yours, Lin 🦎🐢🐕🐦
I got mine from josh's frogs! shipped super fast and very healthy. great U.S supplier for mourning geckos, they go for about 30$ a gecko, they do come as babies though.
I love my Mourning geckos but they have yet to lay eggs and I've hag them over 6 months. Do they have any environmental cues that initiate reproduction to your knowledge? I only have two and they are both adults. I thought by now I would have seen eggs! By the way, Palm!
Whatever you say brotha. Maybe you could help me out. I got a shipment from Hawaiian yesterday at work. And a little gecko hitched a ride. I figured if I let him go he’d just die so I decided to keep him. I’m not to sure what kind of gecko he is. I think he is a mourning gecko tho. Could you give me any advise on how to take care of this little one?
hahaha it is! Although weed is legal where I'm at! Shoot me a message on instagram with photos and I can help you out there. But just look up some care on them.
I keep mourning geckos as well and I'd really be interested in a video on how the parenthogenesis works in morning geckos! Do they just produce eggs that from the start have the full chromosome number of the adult?
Oh wow, now i see. So will your animals stay in canada, or are you going to take some of them with you. I know some are dear to you. If i had to move to a new continent, i would at least take some of my first reptiles I got, they are like family.
Hi um I got a question about my leopard gecko he’s a juvenile and I don’t have supplements for him how long would he be until he dies cause I might not get some until a month or 2 ??
I watched this video on my laptop vs my phone like I usually do. Not going to lie the crispness of the lens and how close you were to the camera made me a bit uncomfortable with the larger viewing screen. lol
Lens, cool. But take a second and clean your space. Your space is a clear indicator on how well you take care of your shit... aka your reptiles. Cords everywhere, stuff just hanging off of shelves.. but you’ve got a million dollar camera?
As someone who is also trying to grow out a beard... I'm loving the visual beard progress updates with every video
Thanks Connor!
Id like a life update! Favorite animal . . .thats a tough one! Palm!
I will do one! :) Thanks :)
Favorite is crested gecko
Good choice!
Nile crocs man, Nile crocs! Also, palm.
Mourning geckos are awesome! I’m getting my first “look but don’t touch” reptiles this weekend: how do you do viv maintenance without them escaping? Thanks!
ohhh niles are incredible! And what is your display animal?
Mike Tytula I’ve been keeping it a secret since November - you’ve got to watch my next video to see the big reveal! :P
They sure can jump far. They look great. I've never seen those white ones before.
They turn dark, their stressed colours are might lighter.
I have 3 mourning gecko bioactive vivariums near my bed. They don’t really wake me up, but if I am awake at night, I can hear them chirping and scuffling around....makes me smile. 🦎👍
Ya they are way more vocal than I thought! They are pretty cool :)
They are indeed! Gotta love the tail-waving too!
Oh I know! They are hilarious!

Well keep in mind that I will be at the Pet Fest in Phoenix, if you are able to make it there in June :)
I am actually in absolute looooove with those geckos woooow 😍
They are sooo cool! If you want any I will be coming to the edmonton orchid expo :)
@@MikeTytula how much will you be selling them for? :) i may be interested if i can justify it right now haha
Palm. My fave is uromastyx and iguanas. But this little gecko has my heart😍
Mourning geckos are the best haha
Really kool geckos bro. I enjoyed your video. My favorite reptile is tegus. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Glad you enjoyed!
I'm getting a couple Mediterranean geckos and I'm so excited. We had reptiles before and had a bearded dragon but not a Gecko. I'm very excited 😁
Hopefully you did a bunch of research and have a proper setup ready :)
@@MikeTytula yes I love watching vids and we have plenty of time to prepare for them😁. Any tips??
Rockin’ that beard dude 😂 the camera really picks up on it 👌

Nice choice! Croc skinks are really cool :)
Hey Mike, great video palm. Yes I would like to see a lot more videos and some live-streams.🐸🐊🦎🐢🐍 It’s hard to pick just one animal.
I will hopefully be making a bunch more this summer! I typically do livestreams on Instagram.
Mike Tytula thank you 🐸
Love the video! New lens looks great!
Thanks Rose City, I appreciate it :)
Nice video Mike. Great information. I hope I'm not one of those UA-camrs buying a ton of geckos :) BTW-- nice lens. Wally
Thanks Supreme! I appreciate it :)
I'd keep a few and raise up their offspring, could always sell more and they are happily communal.
I plan to keep a couple for sure!
Palm....they are adorable & are now on my ever growing reptile wish list. 💗🦎🐢🐍
They never really did anything for me, but now that I keep them, they are pretty cool!

Palm!
Tardigrades are pretty incredible little inverts, that's for certain! I will hopefully do justice on the parthenogenesis video! :)
All the aliens we've met so far are parthenogenic, perhaps engineering yourself to be less mate focused is the key to become an interstellar species.
Man i love PALM trees
Dude same!
i love this guys personality lol
Thanks man! I appreciate it
Asian small clawed otters are my favorite mammals but my favorite reptile has to be tortoises any but especially radiated stars spiders marginated and Aldabras, palm also

How humid is the tank? You do need a small basking bulb for them, the UVB won't provide enough heat. like a 25w should do.
I kept the tank at about 75% humidity. Also the UVB bulb was a 26watt, still not enough?
You are really lucky to be able to care for all of those reptiles, my parents are divorced and I split time evenly between them. Therefore I can’t provide daily care for a reptile I would want. Great video though!

If the 30 gal is top opening I wouldn't recommend it for the mourning geckos, they are very fast and will bolt haha.
Mike Tytula OK Mike I’ll definitely see if I can find something else like I said I’m just starting out thanks
Ya no worries! Just trying to start you off in the right direction
I'm buying an Exo Terra 45x45x45cm. How do I prevent them from escaping and when they lay eggs, what should I do with them and with the babies?
Make sure you seal the back of the enclosure with something. I use the blue sticky tac.
My Mourning gecko was pinkish when I got her, but the next day she turned a dark brownish color.
Ya just the stress makes them display less colours.
Cute little guys,they'll sell quick!
Still two months from the expo... sold 4...
Mike have you ever seen the Australian mourning gecko for sale?
As far as I can tell they are all the same species
My favorite animal is a White Lipped Python! Both northern and southern
ohhh that is a solid choice my friend!
hi mike I was looking into getting mourning geckos and was wondering if I could house them with my bumble bee dart frogs. I have a 45 cube exo terra with 3 bumble bee darts could it be housed or is the tank to small? I noticed you said you putting 7 in the same size tank.

I saw it man! I watched it like the day it was released!
Aah cool! 👌
Can you house different locales of mourning gecko together? Since it’s parthenogentic example Hawaii and Philippines locale together
I wouldnt recommend it, but I guess theres nothing stopping you.
How many can I keep in a zoomed 18X18X18?
Setup properly maybe 4?

Not normally, typically they don't have eggs for the first year I reckon, but I have never kept them before. So I wouldn't take my word for it.
2:50 check out the very right box. There’s a weed plant in there 😂
That is sphagnum moss, with a spider in it lol
