Thank you. I feel about the original the way you do and from what I've seen you do in this playthrough I think I will like Aqua Rove quite a bit more. So thank you again for the playthrough and your observations.

So funny I actually got Rove like a few days ago and now there's a new one!

Well, good news, there's a card coming that seemingly combines the original and Aqua into a mega game!

I'm excited about this one along as the junior edition, maybe I can finally figure out how to play correctly, LOL

I kind of agree with your points, and I'm sure the designers see this as an improvement of sort (even in terms of accessibility perhaps), but here's my counterpoint: original ROVE had a better intrinsic implementation of the theme, meaning you felt like the little robot was made of a kind of goofy hodgepodge of disparate modules, each with a very specific function, and you had to come up with a way to make them work together. With Aqua ROVE, it looks like the modules are just a bunch of inert blocks and there's a different, more abstract outside force that makes them function.

Can't argue with that thematic connection, though I guess you could argue, that since the modules still have their unique abilities, that they've simply improved the communications ability of the rover, allowing more precise controls with the direct ability to simply trigger the special use of each module, but that due to distance, once each module has been used for what it does, there is no way for them to be reset.

Thank you so much for the great playthroughs and all your content.
I have watched a few playthroughs of Aqua ROVE.
    1) My concern is that it looks too easy even playing the hard mode.
    2) Having the movement on the cards seems to give the modules too much flexibility. The movement on the moduels in ROVE makes rearrangement much harder.
    3) Using the "advanced" powers seems to make the puzzles substantially easier.
What do you think of these observations?
How often do you win/lose? Do you feel that this is much easier than ROVE?
That being said, i don't own ROVE, so this KS may be a good way to get it with its expansions for a good price.

I will say that this one for me definitely does feel easier than the base, and I have yet to lose, but I do also tend to be pretty good at this kind of puzzle. It’s very rare that I lose the original ROVE now as well. That said, it’s still fun to try and figure out the optimal way to get these puzzles done and for sure if I don’t focus enough, there is a very real chance at losing.
