I know what you mean about the colors. I've been watching Sarah Renae Clark and Pamela's Passion for Pencils. They both have good learning videos on coloring and shading and all that jazz. They break it down nicely too

Grass is a great way to learn color mixing. Grass is my happy place ;)
There is an app called color pencil picker that u can take a picture of something and put it in the app and what pencils you will use and it tells you how to get the color. I love it.

Thanks for sharing this! I love it and the companion book that goes with it! I don’t have a printer so this would be helpful for me! I also purchased a color wheel which helps me pick colors as well. I too struggled with this and once I got my color wheel I was off and running!
I need to get my color wheel out more often. Someone needs to make a pretty one that can hand on a wall in our craft rooms/living room. That would be awesome 😍
@@LindaLearnstoColorI use the Martian Colour Wheel by Warren Mars. Has been very single hue you can thing of. You can Google it and it should pop up. I'll try to post it on Instagram. What is your IG handle. I can tag you once I do. I had mine printed on cardstock then laminated. Made a big one that I framed to put in my craft room. Then a 5*7 and a 4*6 for my craft planner (5*7) and my on the go planner 4*6). Love it. In the process of creating my own. Thank you so much for sharing this.💜💙🥰😍💕💙💜

How big is the book you printed? When I go on Barnes and Noble to print it the largest size is 5x8
Linda, those a great resources for any colorist or artist. Did it cost a lot of extra money to get it printing at barns and noble? I haven't pick these up because I have other books on color theory in my art book library. Plus I pick a lot of my colors for pages and painting based on my feelings. I just play around and start blending them together on scrap piece of cardstock. If I like the color combo, I save them in sketch book for my blends.
The hardbound books cost $30. I watched a youtube video on how to get them printed at Barns & Noble because you do have to crop the cover such. It's a bit of work to get it uploaded and all.
I love the idea of having a book to save your blends. I am sure it's pretty.😍💖🌈
@@LindaLearnstoColor its really pretty. I used a small mixed media or tone color sketch book. I posted a video showing it in my color a long.

I just received my 2 color cubes and assumed that it would be way too expensive to try and print out at FedEx Office, etc. I just watched the recommended video and am excited to try and print both volumes like you did! Two quick questions: did you use matte or glossy, and did you use 50 lb or 70 lb paper? Thanks again!

I think it was $30 dollars a book + shipping through Barns and Noble print shop. I had to find a YT tutorial for help because I had to "make" the covers, resizing and all.
Can u share with us how u made the cover? I really want to do this and have a hard copy. I like to have physical copy of stuff it's much easier for me.
So all together how much did each digital book cost you to buy and have it printed out. And could I do the same thing with just picking palettes from anywhere and have them printed and bind them.
