The Google Pixel Fold 9 Pro is the second iteration of a book-style foldable phone from Google. This phone has some significant improvements over its predecessor. But the software doesn’t quite live up to the hardware.
Here are some key points from the video:
* The phone is very thin and pocketable, especially for a foldable phone. The reviewer even says you could comfortably use it as your only phone without ever opening it up to the larger screen.
* The inner display is still held back by the current limitations of foldable technology. The crease is better than previous generations, but it's still visible and you can always feel it when touching the screen.
* The software is the biggest stumbling block for this phone. Apps don't always resize correctly when switching between the outer and inner displays.
* The reviewer found two good use cases for the inner display: multitasking and taking selfies. You can open two apps side-by-side on the inner display. And the large screen makes it easier to take selfies with the rear-facing cameras.
* Overall, the reviewer is disappointed with the Pixel Fold 9 Pro. They think it's too expensive for what it offers. They say you could buy both a Pixel 9 Pro and a Pixel 9 for the same price and be better off.
