Alonso on a 49 HR and 84 RBI pace, but I suspect he'll have over 100 RBIs again this season. This time last year he had about the same # of HRs and 5 more RBIs. Cant wait until JD Martinez is back in this lineup. This lineup will be even better.

Well, we salvaged the series and went 3-3 on the road trip. Hopefully, now Pete Alonso will get his homerun on Friday or Saturday to reach 200 for his career.

This was a rough game. I understand they may have been thrown off with Snell going on the IL after being scheduled to start today. But the offense blew some big changes. Shows lack of plate discipline. The team still cannot find consistency, yet to have a 3 game win streak. Hopefully they can bounce back on Friday.
Very sad game but at least won the series! I knew the Mets were trying their hardest. I Hope we win this Friday 4/26 and I’ll be at that game on fireworks night! We got this and hope Kyle Harrison has it!

Thats the thing about pitching man, some days you got it some days you dont. Furthermore, thats what makes the greats, well, the greats. Their ability to bring it everyday, whether its their A game, B game, or even C game. My highschool baseball coach told us that.

Poor playing and untimely hitting cost the Giants this game. We had our opportunities, we just BLEW them each and every time. Spring training is OVER guys, time to clean up the mistakes...NOW

That's why no one wanted to sign him really. He constantly goes on IL, usually only stays "healthy" when his contract is up for renegotiation.
He's got a 2-year deal with the Giants, no reason to push himself this year.

Vent about Snell taking vacation instead of pitching today, not about Bob Melvin giving players rest to get them through the season. Sparky Anderson used to do the same thing with platooning. He won a few World Series doing that, and was inducted into the HOF. Nothing wrong with Melvin's managing. If I recall, he played for Sparky in Detroit.
Personally, I think the Giants play better with Mike Yaz in the lineup ....... but resting players keeps them sharper and I accept that.
What I don't accept is the stunts Snell pulls when he isn't in his contract negotiation year. He's got a 2-year deal now with the Giants, no need to push himself this season.
