Hi Shannon I’m going to the retreat as well and it’s my first time ! I agree I miss Christmas tree shop ! I always made a stop when I went up that way to Hobby Lobby and JoAnn and Chick Fil A for lunch was another must ! I’m looking forward to meeting you and so many others as well from Flosstube ! I FFO’d my exchange gift so I glad that’s done ! Still gathering things for table gifts ! See you soon !
I miss the Christmas Tree Shops as well and loved the mothership in Hyannis! Love your finishings and need to get on the ball and start finishing my projects.
Hi Shannon! I love your finishes and adorable finishing pieces. I miss CTS! We would always stop when we visited the Cape. I also loved the one at Ingleside Mall. It's the end of an era. I have American Welcome. I have to finish kitting it up. Let me know when you plan to start. 😊
Hi Laurie!! Thank you so much and I’m glad I’m not alone with being sad that CTS closed for good. I will definitely let you know when i start so we can stitch together 😊
Hi Shannon! Just found you. I too, am from Connecticut. In the Southeastern part. I love your stitching. I have never been to a retreat either, so no advice. I'm sure others will be more helpful!
Hi, Shannon. At the retreats I have attended, you stay at the same table for the duration. It means you get yourself set up and don’t pack up each evening. I take a few more gifts than the number of tablemates because I have found that someone I know will come around to visit and bring me one of their gifts. It is nice to be able to gift in return. Christine from Ontario
Generally at retreats, people sit at the same table for the whole event. You will be safe just bringing gifts for your 5 table mates. However, people do mingle and meet others, and you might decide to have something to give people you really connect with outside of your table mates. Some have something special for the table, and something small (stickers, floss, needles, snacks, etc) to give out to some/all of the people they meet. Some people don’t bring any gifts at all, and that’s okay too. 😊 You will have a blast no matter what you do, and you will learn your preferences for next time.
Hi Shannon, I will be looking for you at Stitch NE 2024. Last year was great fun. Most people don’t switch tables but if you choose to switch everyday I am sure you would be invited to many tables. I am sure you are going with stitchy friends but if you are solo let me know. This Maine girl always has room at the table
Shannon...thanks for the delightful posting...best wishes ❤
