20 Foot Cinder Block Garden Bed

- We built a 20 foot cinder block garden bed with four 6 foot trellises. This video is very timely as we go into Father’s Day weekend, I have to thank the guy for always helping bring my visions to life. I am super excited to plant my first cucumber plants, and watch them climb the trellis.
The big consideration was irrigation for the bed. I decided to go with installing @growoya pots. I have one every 5 feet. I had much success with the GrowOya last season. The terracotta pot is porous and allows water to seep through providing plant roots the amount of moisture they need to thrive. The best part, I can fill the pots and not worry about watering for 2 weeks. Stay tuned as I continue planting out the bed.

I didn’t know you could paint brick like that. And I wonder if it heats up the beds.

Safecoat and there are several other good brands out there.
What are the capped vessels in the soil for?
Those are Ollas which is an ancient watering method using terra cotta pots

Isn’t some concrete blocks potentially poisonous due to the chemicals they’re made with?
What was the cost of materials for the completed project?
Approximately $700 for everything including cement glue and plants
