I got a stock image like this and I need to export it as png with transparent background. How can I do that? If I hide the background, those black parts of the gradient become visible.
it ony works if you have a background because the objects use blending modes (in this video it's "screen"). I feel your pain, it happend to me also
And why does nearly every stock image has a checkered background instead of just black. thats so unnecessary.

Hi at 3:30 after I screen the star, it doesn't blend together. Instead, the whites from the gradient becomes harsh and doesn't seamless creates the yellow gradient. I followed step by step meticulously :/
Make sure do ungroup after Expand..

@@silvialindley6188 It seems to be that having your document in RBG mode instead of CMYK makes the difference. Really unfortunate as I was trying to design for print!

There is an easy way, by copying the design to Photoshop and removing the background normally
