It is pretty cool! Even though I like the old school Kenner blue plastic, I do appreciate that this one has a more realistic approach with the black plastic. We don't get "weapon-like" toys in black anymore since the gun scares back in the 80's.
It looks great! I liked the modding aspect of the MOD, but this one is cool! The yellow is super striking and I like that they went with the black for the body. It has a more real feel to it.
The lack of FROZEN EMPIRE branding in the packaging is a good thing; it shows a long-term commitment to the Ghostbusters franchise. They could keep selling this after the movie leaves theaters.
That is something I didn't even take into account, but you are absolutely right! This could be the new run of toys and films that we are wanting more of.i personally would like to see some more rehash of the Kenner GB equipment!
@@Tayfrog Also, here's some cool facts about that blaster. When the call button turns blue, it's the stasis stream / shock blaster, when it turns green, it's the slime blower, and when it's normal bright yellow, it's the normal proton stream!

You are very correct. It takes a lot of ques from the Spirit Halloween MOD kits from Ghosthead fans. When I modded my proton pack with SpongeFaceMcgee's electronics, there are settings that put the lights and sounds that make it more of the range of the GBVG. At one point, I had a slime blower attachment to my neutrona wand! This toy feels similar. This toys feels like it is doing something similar.
To The Ghostbusters: Afterlife MOD wand, the sound is a little louder. Not by much. I do feel that the initial proton stream is louder, but the ghost are a little quieter.

It is a load of fun! I saw one guy on UA-cam that started doing a mod on his. I may have to buy a second one to mod the same way. Enjoy the toy!

We just gave this to my 3 year old son. He hasn't put it down. He found GB without my influence
